  1. feel i have to mention something that Nigel Pearson said in his commentary last night ... he said the Poles obviously would have been at the track practising plenty of times before this meeting, something that isn't possible for British riders in Britain. well ok, i accept Cardiff isn't an option, but there are other tracks you can go to for testing things and bonding, just ask the Danes. they managed to have 3 or 4 sessions on different tracks at the start of the season, something that 'team' GB never managed to get around to, having their bonding session at the world cup! from what i can understand, Stekkers rented the tracks in question, although i could be wrong, but then if they can do it, why can't 'team' GB? full marks to Denmark and the team manager.
  2. Pedersen world champion ... do you really think that move will worry the man
  3. and poses for photos too http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2543528970100800452BEfsHf
  4. hey JB, on Thursday you said you'd love it if Nicholls won ... what happened?
  5. or qualifiers, there is a difference. riders should be in the world championship on merit, not because their face fits and someone that makes the decisions finds them exciting. the top 8 from the GP should qualify for the next year, after that, make the rest scrap it out and earn it.
  6. i thought thats what they'd been trying to do for the last 75 years but it hasn't always worked has it.
  7. because so many have deserted watching at the tracks, which means more clubs struggling to keep going. i like the Sky coverage, but there's a price to pay, and when Sky are no longer interested will we have a sport to follow?
  8. every rider has a different mentality, i thought Hazzman summed it up hence the quote.
  9. thats not the sentence i quoted though is it
  10. looking forward to the next time at Kings Lynn too ... the kids certainly went out and gave it everything.
  11. maybe you should ask Scotty why he used an old bike in the world cup (no jokes about Sophie please), but a proper one in Prague
  12. good call J, then i can make enquiries as to what didn't happen with the engines used by all the England team in the world cup
  13. oh yeah sorry, lets sweep it under the carpet and forget about it.
  14. i think it was 1989 that the World Cup was last won by England, so it doesn't make it Middlo's fault, but some people are so blatantly devoted they can't see that the whole international setup needs a complete overhaul before the English national team goes into meltdown. the team manager could be anyone, not just Middlo, and i'd be saying the same thing ... it's been long enough with someone that hasn't won, it's time to try something else. if you can't see that sharron, then you really have got it bad.
  15. ok then, i'll stand for it ... and i'll lead England to nothing in 7 years ... fair enough? lets face it, won't be long and England will have to go through the qualifiers at this rate.
  16. so why don't you do it, you have your head far enough up your arse to make it count. F.O.F
  17. so what needs to be done is to bring in a management team that can all help in some way to try and get the riders to a point where they can cut the mustard. i said before, get in people from different avenues ... motivation, mechanical ... let them work together. maybe the riders don't cut the mustard because the backup they are getting is the same as its been for some years and it needs fresh input, new ideas.
