  1. i go to Warsaw for 5 nights, airbnb and a whole apartment to myself, and i got in relatively early for flights so much better price than they're at now, and it'll still probably be cheaper than the weekend in Manchester when you factor in all the other things like fuel, parking, socialising. I do a lot of socialising in Warsaw but still much cheaper, and ok i get a lift to Heathrow so no airport parking etc, but this country has a habit of just overcharging on everything
  2. Going into the city after Belle Vue is totally different to Cardiff. Before and after the GP at Cardiff everywhere was surrounded by speedway supporters, you knew where a lot of friends and groups would be, with Manchester there won't be any 'set places' like Walkabout where it would get taken over on the Friday and Saturday nights, a lot of people won't even bother going into the city after BV, and those that do will be so spread out it will be totally diluted and not feel like there's a big event on. Cardiff was the closest we had to a Polish GP around the city, but BV has the track. Wroclaw and Warsaw you KNOW there's something going on with speedway, in Manchester you won't
  3. when the tapes on gate 1 go up so much before gate 4 it's to be expected
  4. WSRA Celebration of Speedway - Hertfordshire Zoo 2025 https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjC5XWB
  5. but if Belle Vue purchase the rights to run the event it will be up to them what they charge
  6. there might be a number of people on this forum that would be interested in the answer though
  7. you're wrong if you're prepared to look away from the chain hotels
  8. so the league bond plus £40,000 for the foam fence, big ask unless there's someone involved with very deep pockets
  9. i still think Poland are on payback for the wildcard situation
  10. IF planning is granted don't the club have some infrastructure already built waiting?
  11. and Plymouth womens team won at AFC Wimbledon women today (2-1, 97th min winner), first time Wimbledon women have lost at Plough Lane in quite some time
  12. i scoured airbnb and booking.com when dates were released
  13. i've got a B&B in Manchester with parking for 3 nights for under £200
  14. i just get discovery+ for the speedway season, cancel when all meetings are done
  15. and will the semi finals be in the same week as the final?
  16. wonder if that's because of the backlash over GP wildcards
  17. as well as keeping costs down as infratructure will all be in place. not sure how much longer WBD will carry on though
  18. can't see that happening while WBD have the rights, if they won't pay for Cardiff there's no way they'll do a London stadium with all the extra meetings/surveying/money
  19. who knows if they are even allowed to run more than one team, stadium owners might not allow it.
  20. i'd be inclined to say it's not the money, it's the success the club has
  21. to be fair i thought Starke was a 5 point rider, so getting him on less than 4 is a bonus
  22. Paco Castagna, very 'exagerated' style on the bike, loves a bit of showboating. another one was a Polish lad at Peterborough, can't remember his name, wasn't there very long but definitely had a scary style
