No doubt the Fen men deserved their win, in a match that had more re-runs than escape to victory on the BBC. Having studied the tape, Mason was extremely lucky to get to his feet after being collected by young Nathan, nasty as it was, it was a accident, as was Arrons fall when he clipped Sargeant, who reactions were unsavoury, unnecessary and childish, even as a spur of the moment loss of temper. Nielsen was quite superb and only headed twice, when he may or may not have caught Mullins, who was prevented from his moment of glory by Bens fall. The other time was by the excellent Blackbird, who shut off on the line to allow the completion of a well deserved maximum. The Rajiders needed to be fIring on all cylinders, sadly they ! DVDs of this match are available, but can't mention it on here or I will get another warning:) !

Very notable meeting with heat 11 the pick of several very good races, well done to both teams.

Iow crusaders, time for the crossed swords to be incorporated on the race jacket, and time for Mark Baseby to be added to the squad., wonder if I can get brian to build a turret on turn one?

Finished editing the DVD of this meeting, and no matter how many times I see heat 15, it is amazing that both of these lads are ok, it really was horrific. However, my job is to produce news stories, so the Mercury website, will show, heat 9!, the full match will be available next Saturday from the track. As for the meeting, I think it would have been better if 2 more rookies were put in rather than Hawkins and Garrat who were miles apart from the rest.. Tom Bradock though, does look like he is improving with every ride, and could be a bonus come the important part of the season for the Raiders.

Rye House Vs Isle Of Wight (nlkoc) 9/4

Interesting reading all the knockers comments, when this was a very entertaining meeting, the Raiders will all improve ad the season goes on. Heat one, well if you want to know if there was contact you will have to look at the DVD or see the mercury site, very hard to call. Raiders let a lot of points slip against a 1 man opposing team, the rest points were given to them, but full credit for staying on their machines and being in the right place at the right time. -
I have a couple of minutes film, think 1936

Simmons yep, Warwick?, Cottham? Smith? Starke? maybe but i know 2 who are coming and I aint spoiling the fun, so keep guessing. Oh and its not Bunny, Ripper, Marsh, Bird or Aldridge, mind you a couple of them would make it interesting....

Derek, you seem to have plenty to say about the NL, but we havent seen much of you at the meetings cheering on the Hawk, for that matter sadly we haven't see many others either and that is the reason why it is not working, fans simply are not coming and supporting these youngsters, if we are honest not many are coming to other meetings either and crowds are dwindling at most tracks. maybe just one day things will change, but all teh time people say "I used to go" rather than actually going and are not being replaced, our sport is going to struggle Derek, you seem to have plenty to say about the NL, but we havent seen much of you at the meetings cheering on the Hawk, for that matter sadly we haven't see many others either and that is the reason why it is not working, fans simply are not coming and supporting these youngsters, if we are honest not many are coming to other meetings either and crowds are dwindling at most tracks. maybe just one day things will change, but all teh time people say "I used to go" rather than actually going and are not being replaced, our sport is going to struggle

Not a bad meeting, but seen better too, some good heats, 6 13, 14 and 15 being the pick. although top of the league (it looks good)this team is very much about the future. DVD ready (we had a few at Rye House last night) and available from the T2TV website and at rye House next week.

As many have said the result is such situations is unimportant, hope all the riders recover soon.

Sorry there is so much doom and gloom, but it, is getting a bit boring, those who moan, seem to still keep going, if its so bad why do you bother? Couple of good races yesterday, Darrie was a class apart and Brandon, Ben M and Ben H, along with Marc all showed improvement against average opposition, although Tom Young rode his socks off for little reward. heat 14 was excellent with Brandon holding off the challenge from Young only for owen to ###### 2nd on the line. Lots of points thrown away by the Hawks, Morley, Hazeleden, Freemantle and owen all doing this at some time. Some rolling starts were picked up and some werent, probably best or we'd still be there now. The poor points were the amount of tractor time I agree, but at least the dust was kept down. The dvd is edited and ready and can be ordered from the T2TV website, or coolected at the track next Saturday.

yeah seen em after a meal hahaha

mmm have we seen you there since it was FREE??? I see this as lots of people stating what they want but living in the 1970's and not 2011, yeah great to see the Hawks race jackets, but it really has not caught the imagination, I love all speedway, but even I can see people are not flocking to either venue. Maybe we will see a Hawks team at one of teh Olympic park stadiums, but not at teh cost of the Rockets.

Well I am sure all the Fen-Tigers fans at Rye (Hackney) last night would have enjoyed themselves and may want to see it again, those who didnt go may want to see it too. And now you can, the DVD of this Tigers win is now edited and ready. All the action and interviews included, plus Pete Hill's brilliant unbiased live match commentary. Two ways you can purchase it, from teh website link below or take a chance on e-bay where you could get it for as litlte as £1! As for the match, The Fen-Tigers were simply too good for a rather sluggish Hawks team who seem to be under performing in certain areas. Few ok races if you are a Hawks supporter, but plenty for the visitors. As for the refereeing, well I dont normally comment on these guys as they have a difficult job anyway, but last nights was consistantly in-consistant and some poor decisions left a few people scratching their heads from both camps. (See the dvd and replays and make yer own mind up). Good luck to the West row club in the next round, I think you could see some silverware coming your way come September.

Shane is at 1, with ben Hopwood at 2, Ben Morley drops to reserve, Portwood comes in at 6 for the Tigers with Jo Jacobs the other reserve. think i will record the gp, jusy in case there is a race on it! First of all it was great to catch up with all our friends, riders, management from the IOW at Mildenhall on Sunday, but what a horrible meeting, Johns crash was simply horrific and once that happened I had no real interest in the rest of procedings. No sure if we will produce the dvd or not, will see how the lad is before we make a decision. I can quite understand why the Islanders were not up to the challenge after this. So John, all of us at T2TV and I am sure the whole world of speedway wish you a quick and full recovery.
