  1. Thanks! is all clear now, I knew there must be a reason!
  2. I went to the Leszno v Torun meeting , very nasty looking crash for Zabik This was the first non GP meeting i had been to in Poland and a very good one it was to The only thing I didn't understand was how in the nominated races 14 and 15, Bjarne Pedersen rode in both races for Torun How come? am i missing something?!
  3. No need to show off, you only had an extra 0.5cm leg room in business class and a 1970's curtain to seperate you from the rest of us I would fly Air Baltic again though, still better than Ryanair And who is this Mr Lindback you speak of? - you had "ABL" written on your programme in the semi final and final
  4. Just got back and thought it was a good GP Daugavpils is an odd place though, the tram to the speedway goes past an old prison where you can see all the inmates looking out from their cells. Perhaps we could see if they have a spare cell for Mr Millard.... its far enough out of the way, my back won't forget the 4 hr train ride from Riga in any hurry!
  5. oh well, 2 hrs more drinking time afterwards then, I hope the 6am train back to riga on Sunday morning runs on time though!
  6. having been there for football and speedway, there is a good view and atmosphere anywhere you go, not sure what the speedway would be like from the bottom tier though which I think are the £29 tickets. Personally i go for £50 tickets and get front row of the middle tier on the bends, worked for me last year so no need to change a winning formula aisle seats too for 2007 , just in case i need to get some refreshments in I think the dearer tickets are then on the straights
  7. me (+ 0 ) starting off with Slavia Prague in the UEFA Cup on the thursday night Other than that if people are meeting up for a few Staropramen's at any time Id be interested
  8. Spanner47, when i was out in Germany for the World Cup i took in the German Open at Olching which was also on a bank holiday - start time was 2pm for that. There was stuff about future fixtures in the programme, so will check for start times tonight Despite the 2pm start time they did drag it out though- i think it ran for 3 1/2 hrs for the twenty one races despite no accidents etc.. Good track though, and the crowd was probably around 2,500. And watch out for the mad German who kept coming round with a hose to cool people down!
  9. Does anyone know what time would the Wroclaw and Leszno meetings would be starting on the 24th? still tempted to try and get to one....
  10. go to the travel plus tours website , www.tptours.co.uk you can order your tickets from them for the Czech GP - there is a downloadable form, I sent them a cheque the other day for mine
  11. someone might also want to point out to him what numbers the turns are , he seemed to think turn 3 by the pits was turn no 1?
  12. can only find Poland at Evens now, with Aus still 6/4 at Will Hill Still a no lose bet though still may throw a few more pennies on later, although I guess Poland will be odds on everywhere before too long...
  13. thanks for the heads up. Agreed can't see GB winning in Poland. Got shorter odds for poland than you stated as I guess people are backing it down... will pocket net £200 for a Poland win and a net £50 is Aus win If GB look like doing anything i will place a saving bet during the meeting !!
  14. who did you book your car rental with? - seems very reasonable! I've still to book my car rental for the Scandanavian GP for the Saturday before, and am still pricing up whether I can afford the Vetlanda trip too....
  15. I have only been to Riga before but am tempted by this one No luck with accomodation as it seems all booked up, however the first train back to Riga is 6.15am, and the bar at the Park Hotel Latgola stays open until 5am, so Im sure i could kill the time quite easily
  16. Im thinking of taking in the German Open at Olching next Thursday as it fits in nicely with my world cup trip (will be needing a speedway fix while im out there!) Ive worked out how to get there etc from the Olching website, but has anyone read anywhere what the likely line up of riders are?!
  17. ticket details on speedwayworld.tv now £20 the semi, £25 the final, or £35 the pair kids go free, could be packed- parking will be a nightmare!
