Been going to Poole since 1982. Had good, bad and indifferent years but my interest is sadly on the decline.

You only have to see the way most of the Poles ride Lakeside, Wolves and formerly Eastbourne most look like fools. Only one I remember that took to Eastbourne was krzysztof cegielski on his first visit.

Yes we lost but we should of let King Artur go due to poor performance and Coventry had a ringer at reserve who should of been in the top 5. Will admit Harris rode well that night at Poole

Will need to get an InterRail pass for Great Britain. It is an ideal way to travel around the UK. You can get one from http://www.interrail.eu/interrail-passes/one-country-pass/great-britain The day return from London to Rye House is £11.70 so if only doing short journeys I wouldn't bother with the InterRail pass. If you get one you have to get the pass stamped before you use it to validate it in a booking office.

Ask Paul Hurry after he rode into the back of a slowing USA rider at the 1st relaunched SWC in Wroclaw in 2001. The Americans bike gave up on the back straight while leading (Billy Janniro), Paul rode into the back of him and was excluded from the race as the primary cause of the accident. Billy came 2nd in the re-run

Scariest rider at Poole while with Exeter in the late 80's. Fell on 1st corner and went under the old fence, his helmet came off and rolled along the dog track, some thought he'd been decapitated!
