  1. BOB COLES ROBERT HENRY RAY BALES ILA TEROMAA
  2. Surely this is the death knoll for this waste of time meeting. Riders aren't interested, Sky arent even interested And after the last few seasons I doubt too many supporters will be in future
  3. Any news on the line up for this meeting? Its only 10 days away
  4. No problems. sure we will meet again over the season when Brendan is riding. As for the manager, I was taught that manners cost nothing, he has none and should not be in a job that involves customer interface, I think we should leave it there

  6. Very enjoyable day out, good meal in the restaurant, some decent racing on view, and that Speedway smell again Pedersen was a deserved winner as many have said, but was most impressed by Holder and the Russian. Holder looks like he will make the move up with ease, and looked a lot less ragged than he did at times in PL company last year. The Russian is an out an out racer and hopefully he will be riding full time in the UK soon. Good to catch up with BobC, Brendan & Dave, and of course to meet Rabbit. Only downer was the pompus t**t of a restaurant manager, but hey 1 in over 3,000+ is well below the national norm
  7. Cheers Bob, 'Infamous' scoreboard operator!! we are suitably intrigued See you next Sunday
  8. What a lot of complaining on here about ticket prices & booking charges! I wonder if this meeting was being held at another track there would be all this fuss There is a group of us heading down from Mildenhall. and we are certainly hoping the sun shines, even though we should keep dry in the restaurant, well at least on the outside . This will be a cracking meeting at a top stadium, it may be 'top dollar' to get in but it will certainly be worth it, as they say if 'you pay peanuts, you get monkeys'. Roll on next Sunday
  9. Really thought that last years PL4TT was a massive success at Peterborough, great racing on a super track. Why move it to such an outpost in Britain
  10. Excellent additions Steve I make that Nicki Pedersen Jason Crump Leigh Adams Hans Andersen Greg Hancock Andreas Jonsson Scott Nicholls Chris Harris Bjarne Pedersen Krzysztof Kasprzak Kenneth Bjerre Davey Watt Karol Zabik Emil Saifutdinov Jaroslaw Hampel One more place remaining, hopefully at worst the Poole promotion will give Chris Holder one of the reserve berths. Just a pity the final place couldn't be taken by a fully fit Mark Loram. This is looking a top quality line up though, maybe Holta to finish off the 16.
  11. It sure will be! Lookin forward to it already mate Sunshine in March! Will you bake a cake as you have so much spare time
  12. Well what can you say! Poole put on a top class meeting to commence the 2008 season and celebrate a land mark in their long history and all you get is whinging and wining from other Elite League teams supporters. How sad! I will certainly look forward to this meeting and hope to be there god willing. £30.00 for a grandstand seat and programme seems none to ridiculous to me, and a much better way to spend your money than the Brighton or Telford events. Role on March 9th, hopefully Holder may get added to the meeting, would be very interesting to see how he would perform in such a high class field.
  13. Excellent end to a long hard season. Well done to Simon, Laurence, Blane, Dub, Vic, Nikko and all the trackstaff etc who have ensured we have had some fine meetings to enjoy. Hopefully the crowds will continue to improve, and now sponsors will start to come back to Mildenhall and help secure a stable future for the club. Today was excellent, track record broken 3 times, some very competitive racing, a few laughs and a brilliant firework display to send everyone home happy for the winter. The youngsters too put on a fine show to add to the entertainment and as said the fancy dress was another little sideshow lmao!!
  14. Totally agree Matousek, the race between him and Legault should be worth seeing too
  15. Morris certainly was impressive Bob, really attacked the track. I was impressed to with Jake Knight (son of the only Fen Tiger to appear in a World Final I am realibly informed), who certainly seems to be showing considerable improvement as the season progresses
  16. That was dissapointing, surely an insert was not too much to ask was it Also just like the Kings Lynn prog last year there was nowhere to put team changes, a little more thought needed there
  17. Yeah, the bloke up from the starting line, he was really something else, I thought his head was gonna fall off when Frampton and Roynon beat Topinka Lynn are wobbling a little at the moment and many of their 'fans' cannot accept this after their successes of last season. Topinka in particular looks very average at the moment, his head shaking everytime he is beaten is most comical. Didn't see the starting tape incident as very funny, their was obviously a problem and a couple of riders, Mills in particular did nothing to help the situation with his actions! Resorting to going ballastic everytime you beat a Rye House rider is pretty poor form King Lynn fans, set your sights higher . Enjoyed the meeting, IOW were by far the best team 11 heat winners in the 16 heat final, and that with the superb Bunyan having a puncture when easily winning his second ride. Gathercole was an excellent reserve, fast brave and seemed to have his bike set up perfectly for the track, Stojanowski winning on it in his only ride in the final. Glad to hear Ashworth was ok, looked a potentially nasty incident. Rye looked very average, not sure about Mr Big Stuff tonight, not at the races at all. Good to see some young up and coming riders like Frampton, Roynon and Boxall looking very competitive, James Wright continues to struggle when ever I see him, if only he could get his gating sorted out. Oh well never mind Lynn fans, third today, second last night, not all bad is it
  18. King's Lynn or even Sheffield may have been a good shout actually Jirout. Looking down tonights line up Arena and Reading apart every other track in the EL was represented, and I suppose if you really wanted to get ridiculous you could discount Arena because Havvy used to ride ther eand go on and on and on... Here's an idea why not say well done David Howe for finishing second and claiming his place in the GP.... Kennetts day will surely come and soon, he is one of the most improved riders around, I thought the Poole fans were a fairminded lot, obviously a few exceptions tonight!
  19. My first visit to Plymouth on friday and must say they have an excellent set up down there, perfec t for CL racing. No bar though The racing was pretty good although the track was rather bumpy and the line ups left you in no doubt from the start that the final would be a two horse race between Plymouth & Scunny. Going into the last race level everything looked set for an exciting finale until, in my opinion, the ref got it totally wrong excluding Glanz. Glanz to my eyes was in front of Bekker when he bailed out. The situation not being helped by 'child star' Auty leaping over the fence waving his arms at the referee then goading the Plymouth fans once hte decision went Scunny's way. I wonder how brave he would have been if that large fence had not been there??? Tai Woofinden looked untouchable breaking the track record in his opening ride, I wonder how long before he decides he doesnt need the CL anymore? Lee Smart was very competitive throughout as was Glanz, Roynon and Bekker. Hell of a long way to go, so dont know when I'll be back, but a good trip and well done to Plymouth for keeping the meeting moving along a pace and for putting on an excellent nights racing. Can recommend the Novotel acroos the road from the track for any future visitors too.
  20. Totally agree Jayne, anyone locally know the forecast for tomorrow?
  21. Can hardly stay on the bike when he is upped a level it seems Derek. Looked very much like a novice at Eastbourne tbh. Maybe this is down to pressure and expectation of him by others? As he seems very fluent and fast in the CL, or is it just that the lad is going to take longer to reach his potential than originally expected? I have seen him ride like this before at Kings Lynn for Rye House and in the CL Riders Final last season. Tai meanwhile seems to have the composure to take everything in his stride, oh yeah and a bloody fast bike
  22. Ah thats why you enjoyed it, you went to the November meeting, lucky you I went to yesterdays event
  23. Have to agree with most of what Rob has said, I think this will be my final Brighton Bonanza unless things change drastically. Apart from the Academy Lads there was little to enjoy, the pairs in the afternoon was ok but the Individual in the evening was pure unadultered boredom. If that is fun I'll not bother. The red and yellow cards are ridiculous just dragging things out even more, and was I the only one who noticed that everytime Dugard missed a gate he went down to get a rerun!! I stand to be corrected but Im sure there were more reruns than heats in the second meeting. People are voting with their feet, and for a tenth anniversary there was little to cheer The presenter was patronising to the kids and rabbited on about nothing most of the day. Get in Craig Saul who I saw was there, he would surely do a better job. Agree the runoff with Venegas and King was totally pointless. They need a venue with a longer and slightly wider track or this event will decend into farce. The only good part, bar the Academy lads, was catching up with some Speedway friends and visiting the various stalls. Role on some real speedway!!
  24. Can understand the difficulty in attracting the same quality field as last week, especially with a number of riders heading home, but its a real shame some sort of meeting couldn't have been organised. Even a Conference League standard event would have, i'm sure, being acceptable to most Mildenhall supporters in the circumstances.
