  1. Hoping someone can help here? I am looking for the heat results, times and individual riders scores for this meeting, any help greatly appreciated. Thanks Phil
  2. Received my copy of this book today, and although not cheap at £27.99, in my opinion it is worth every penny! Covering in total 120 tracks with team photos, programme covers, badges and famous rider photos plus a write up on each track, this book deserves a place in any serious speedway book collection! I can even excuse the picture of the dodgy looking geezer in the announcers box at Sittingbourne Seriously though highly recomended
  3. Agree mate, the only luck we had last night was bad, and still we came away with a draw. There is something very positive happening at Mildenhall Speedway at the moment and long may it continue. The promotion and the team seem totally focused and the humour is back on the terraces. After 6 long years of a few ups and many downs, maybe at last we are approaching smoother waters As for James Brundle, the guy has had his doubters, but the two Heat 15's he has ridden to date this season clearly show his commitment to the club, fantastic stuff from the Captain!!
  4. They certainly are mate! Getting back on thread great to see a full page report in today's EADT, excellent publicity for the club
  5. After yesterday Mike, I'm sure there will be many Mildenhall supporters making the trip to the Norfolk Arena for what looks like being a cracking meeting. We are already looking forward to it! Hard to predict the outcome, especially if Jake Knight is on form again, but hopefully we can get a point ..... at least
  6. Picked up a copy at Mildenhall this afternoon, great four page article by Rob McCaffrey on Robert Henry
  7. Wow! What a return for the Fen Tigers! The meeting had everything, including the right result after a brilliant ride by captain James Brundle to beat the flying Adam Roynon in Heat 15. A crowd that i'd guess was around 1100-1200 brought back memories of years gone by, as did the ex riders display during the interval. Saw people there today I hadn't seen at West Row for years. Great to have Kevin Long back on the mic, and a large contingent from Dudley helping to create a good atmosphere. Not really a day for worrying about who rode well and who didn't, just for enjoying a memorable return for the Fen Tigers Only pity is that we have to wait until the 8th May now for our next home meeting.
  8. Any announcement on the Heathens 1-7 riding order yet?
  9. Mildenhall line-up for Sunday announced on Official Website 1. James Brundle 2. Aaron Baseby 3. Joe Jacobs 4. Daniel Halsey 5. Jack Hargreaves 6. Danny Stoneman 7. Lewis Blackbird
  10. Fine! I never said people DON'T buy them Tony! However like you I am entitled to my opinion, which I have given.
  11. Thanks! Hope Jon Armstrong is fit for Sunday.
  12. Could someone please post the score and scorers?
  13. This taken from the Mildenhal Fen Tigers Web Site: Tigers Complete Lineup Monday, 11 April 2011 18:38 | Mildenhall Fen Tigers have completed their line up for the 2011 National League season, snapping up Aaron Baseby after an impressive display at the club's Press and Practice Day. The 20 year old racer from Kent was one of a number of riders who tried out for the final place on the team, but he was the one who most caught the eye of the Mildenhall management team. Aaron, who spent last year at Bournemouth, will be following in the footsteps of his brother Mark, a former Tiger and crowd favourite at West Row. He comes into the side on a 3.81 average and will line-up in a reserve berth along Aussie newcomer Cameron Heeps. Fifteen year old Heeps will now take his place in the Mildenhall line-up at the end of the month, after his arrival in this country was delayed until his paperwork is complete. In the meantime Devon based rider Danny Stoneman, who has had spells at Weymouth Bournemouth and Plymouth, will fill in for Heeps. Tigers' team manager Rob Henry said, "It was a great practice day and I thought the team looked sharp. We'll be sitting down and working out the final pairings later in the week. I was impressed with all the riders who came to try and grab the last place on the team and I'm sure Aaron will be a great asset and that young Danny will do a good job for us until Cameron arrives, and who knows beyond that." Henry added, "I want to create competition for team places so I am hoping the lads who missed out this time will come back and have another go in the second half racing we have planned. When I was a rider we discovered loads of talent through that route and it's a good way of keeping the boys already in the team on their toes as well."
  14. So it's Taylor, Allot, Branford, Priest, Felton, MacPhail, and ??????
  15. Only a week to go and the reborn Mildenhall 'Fen Tigers' open their season with a titanic battle against the Dudley Heathens Let's hope for sunshine, a big crowd, excellent racing and a Robert Henry guided Mildenhall victory of course Dudley showed that they are going to be right up there in the NL with their performance at Stoke last evening, and include in their seven Mildenhall legend Jon Armstrong who will provide a formidable top end with another ex Fen Tiger Adam Roynon. Looks one not to be missed!
  16. There are some wonderful photos from the early days of Mildenhall there which I would love to get, but £3.00 each! No way can I justify that especially for a 6x4 A real shame!
  17. During the 1990's a guy called Andy Johnson produced a number of tin/plastic speedway badges of defunct and current teams Does anyone by chance know if he has a website or any contact details for him? Any info appreciated Thanks
  18. I agree with you Neil not an easy figure to work with. It was mentioned that the final rider may/would be chosen at P&P in the same way Stoke have done. That could leave us With three 3 pointers in the side? Personally I'd consider Aaron Baseby leaving Heeps and Blackbird in the reserve berths. He seems the best option to me.
  19. I said 'with a GB passport I assume'. The word you are looking for is patrial - which means - having the right to live in the UK through the British birth of a parent or a grandparent. A person with this right has patriality. Your question is probably best addressed to the BSPA I'd say. This debate was done to death in last seasons National League section!
  20. Cameron Heeps was born on 27th October 1995, so is 15. Australian with a GB Passport I assume.
  21. Mildenhall are a standalone set up, and we have Hackney at Rye House in both the League and KO Cup Would have been good to have a fixture at each venue!
  22. Or Mildenhall Air Base for that matter! We live in Mildenhall town and when the wind blows in the wrong direction the sound of the aircraft engines is quite loud and can go on for some considerable time. But we chose to move there and knew all about the airbase so we just get on with life! The laws in this country are crazy allowing someone to move to an area and then start complaining about things that have been there years before
  23. That's interesting fourentee, what were your impressions of Cameron?
  24. Now confirmed on www.mildenhallfentigers.co Mildenhall open their 2011 campaign on Sunday 17th April with a home meeting versus Dudley Heathens!
  25. Well at least we know our opening fixture!
