  1. Has anyone seen or heard any ticket information for the GP at Torun yet?
  2. Do any of our Polish friends on here have any information on if/ how tickets will be available for the meeting at Zielona Gora on Sunday? We are travelling by coach and would've missed the meeting at Torun but with the first leg now on our way back need to find out if we can get hold of 25 tickets for Sunday's match. Many thanks Chris
  3. I have to say that I think some of the posts on here are very disappointing. I met Tai for the first time on Saturday and he came across as a really nice lad that has to bear a hell of a lot of expectation from all supporters of British speedway. Tai is very much the future of our once proud speedway nation and has a lot to live up to in the next 10, 15 maybe 20 years as he hopefully achieves everything that we so want and need him to. Tai wearing the Aussie team colours is no different to all the mechanics working for riders of different nations to their own. Emil Sajfutdinov for instance, has Ashley Holloway and other Polish mechanics in his team. I don't see anybody questioning their national loyalty. It would be nice if we could all get behind Tai and the other young Brits instead of bickering over the T-shirt he was wearing on Saturday night.
  4. Hi Si We stayed at the Hotel Marketa a couple of weeks ago for the Tomicek Memorial meeting. As others have mentioned this is a fair way out of town, although it is convenient for the speedway and it was so close we could hear the bikes from the hotel. The hotel itself is very nice, clean, the staff spoke good English and gave us a good discount for paying by cash. If you were interested in staying there, their website is: www.europehotels.cz and their telephone number is: +420 220 518 316-9. The centre is accessible by public transport or a taxi which cost us 300 Kr. We had a hire car but off-road parking was limited. There is also a supermarket and a couple of places to eat close to the hotel (the hotel itself doesn't have a restaurant). Hope that helps and enjoy your trip to Prague. Chris (another Racers fan in mourning)

  6. Tickets are now available online from: www.e-ticket.pl It seems that after the problems many of us had having to pay excessive bankers draft fees for the Polish GP last month, the organisers have gone back to using a more user friendly method of ticket purchase? Annoying (but not surprising) that the ticket prices are also cheaper than last month's meeting at Bydgoszcz...
  7. Do any forum members have any information about how to get to Gorican please? I am looking to make travel arrangements from the UK for the Croatian Semi and any pointers on how to get there (such as nearest airports or best road routes) and where to stay would be much appreciated. Thank-you!
  8. Iris' help was very much appreciated. The young Aussies were also assisted by the GB management (regarding the various rules and regs) and the local Gustrow club. Some of you may have noticed in Iris' pictures that Robert and Troy are wearing Gustrow race jackets (to display their rider numbers), which had to be borrowed for the meeting, otherwise they wouldn't have been allowed to ride!
