  1. Reading today’s Star it seems they’ve all but given up getting a Doyle replacement in. They have “a plan in place for the play offs” if they don’t get anyone over the line, so at least it seems they’ve organised a guest. Think it’s odds on Leicester will overhaul Oxford having four fixtures in hand so that will rule out Fricke. Nicholls will be ruled out even for the Foxhall leg of the play offs as he’ll be on Eurosport duty, so you’re looking at a guest from Oxford, Lynn or Birmingham. Lindgren is surely the ONLY choice..
  2. Not strictly accurate as not all rising stars are riding at 7. The number 7 (whomever that may be) is protected in heat 8, not rising stars.
  3. The cynic in me says they have replacements waiting to go and will announce them 24 hours after Ipswich complete their 75% fixtures next week out of spite.
  4. I accounted for that and came out with 75% after Thursday. Shows how terrible my maths is! Must have counted a meeting twice somewhere. So just over a week left, let’s see if Lynn announce a new rider(s) next Friday. What’s the odds?
  5. Don’t mind “banter” at all, not particularly school yard name calling though. All a bit juvenile isn’t it? That’s what I’d expect something my 12 year old Daughter would come out with. Each to their own though, crack on.
  6. Musielak has been involved in UK Speedway for a few years now, and has been as good as Gold to more than one club over here. A loyal servant if you like. Until this year. It’s always Lynn isn’t it? The BSPL should do the right thing and allow him to earn a living elsewhere.
  7. I wouldn’t believe a single thing that comes from King’s Lynn, not a single word.
  8. You won’t be signing a replacement for Musielak until after the Ipswich v Kings Lynn fixture on August the 1st where Ipswich reach their 75% cut off. There are games at play here and it doesn’t need spelling out.
  9. And Chapman postponed a meeting because he was missing TWO riders with three premiership teams not riding. And a few had the cheek on here to say they should appeal to get their 2 points back. They got off lightly imo.
  10. Ipswich went in to meetings severely hampered by numerous injuries this season. At one point they went in to meetings without FOUR riders (Doyle, King, Ellis, Dan) and didn’t attempt to cancel meetings. They just got on with it as everyone SHOULD do.
  11. You have to wonder whether internal talks between the clubs on the 75% rule should be scrapped. There’s currently 3 clubs missing a top heatleader and struggling to replace them. Ipswich for example, have known since the end of May that Doyle was out for the season and I know for a fact they’ve tried every top line rider out there without success. They’ve been close a couple of times, but ultimately couldn’t get them over the line. Sheffield and now Lynn are now having the same issues. My understanding is that there are a couple that would be willing to come, but not before clubs reach their 75% cut off. Let’s see if this “rule” stays in place.
  12. He was interviewed only last week and that was still his aim. Didn’t rule out a return for Sheffield against Ipswich the week before either. He likes to play games and lead people up the garden path. I wouldn’t pay much attention to his hints. Could be totally wrong though, we’ll have to wait and see.
  13. That he’s probably back for Cardiff. That’s been his aim.
  14. The SCB statement makes it clear they’d given Lynn 28 days facility then he must either return or be replaced. As neither of those has now happened, I think this situation now needs clarification.
  15. Thank you. That throws up more questions than answers now though. It quite clearly states that a facility will not be extended and after the 28 days Musielak must either “return or be replaced”. Neither of those has happened. Where was this 75% guest rule written? Was it Lynn’s own press release? Surely if a member of the team is riding elsewhere and has made it abundantly clear he won’t be returning, King’s Lynn can’t still declare him as a member of their septet and use any kind of facility? Yes, this isn’t King’s Lynn’s fault, but that’s not the point. They’ve had the 28 days to get another rider in. Before anyone says Ipswich have had the same time or longer to replace Doyle, the circumstances there are different. He isn’t riding elsewhere and refusing to return, he’s injured and unable to ride.
  16. Wasn’t that always the case as per the Statement by the BSPL? Lynn had until the 14th and then it was either a replacement or up to 75% of his average? Or maybe that was someone on here that came up with that I honestly can’t remember.
  17. Bangs was openly telling people during the week Belle Vue wanted him and he wanted Belle Vue. So was a current promoter. There seems to be an ongoing argument though over his starting average which is holding things up.
  18. You seem to be a very very angry individual. Every single post you make comes across as you shouting and being argumentative whilst running around with steam coming out of your ears. Calm down ffs.
  19. Ipswich have been missing at least one rider and up to four riders in meetings pretty much all season and not called it off. It would be purely on this mornings forecast which to be fair, was awful first thing this morning at the time of the call off. Yes it’s changed several times throughout the day but what do you?
  20. You know as well as I do there is no way on gods green earth that Brennan would “save his best engines for Poole”. That is utterly ridiculous. The difference in pay between the Premiership and Championship is vast. If your best contract is in the Premiership, you’ll want your best equipment in the Premiership. That’s just basic common sense.
  21. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Why on earth would he save his best engines for your beloved Poole rather than Birmingham? He couldn’t give a toss what position the clubs are in in their respective leagues. He’ll 100% be on more pounds per point for Birmingham than he will for Poole down in the Championship. As much as you’d love to think it, he’s not prioritising Poole over Birmingham.
  22. It was a “full win” from Ipswich’ perspective the full three points bagged.
