  1. Card payments at the gate for the speedway were in operation last season Baldy, and are again this coming season. Used it myself and it was so handy not having to stop off at a cash machine on the way. About time too!
  2. Is it an assessed German or simply A German? If the other 6 are who we think they are we have 5.30 for the remaining place. If the rumour of Gino to Redcar has any legs, wonder if there was a swap deal for Tobias Busch? Not that inspiring admittedly especially in the 1-5, but hes German and the average fits.
  3. So Id guess the 4 would be King, Heeps, Covatti and Hume? Give me a like if Im warm Bob 😂
  4. How many points will that leave for the last place? Didnt think Mountain would be back but him being part of the Ipswich party at Portman Rd now makes me think otherwise.
  5. Am I right in thinking Jenkins would become an asset of any Championship club he joins? He’s got to be in the mix surely. Was a regular at Foxhall this season and was included as #8 in a few meetings. Drew Kemp is another we need to keep an eye on. Too young this year I think? But a young Ipswich lad being tipped for a bright future who has started his career very well at Mildenhall. Maybe one for 2019.
  6. Well if theres rain it certainly isnt forecast on any weather report Ive seen, not the main ones anyway. Met office, BBC and Metcheck have a dry evening forecast so hopefully any thats around now wont be troublesome. Looking forward to a good evenings racing and as someone mentioned earlier (apologies cant remember who), heat 13 looks mouthwatering!
  7. Agree Badge good replacement for Nico. King, Schlein, Sedgman, Newman and Heeps is some top 5 especially if Heeps keeps up his current form. Just need to solve the problem of replacing Hume which obviously won't be an easy task.
  8. Don't think so he's a King's Lynn asset still I believe.
  9. Well that's a positive! Any other details from the meeting? Would be interested to see the line up
  10. But you could also say this about another fancied side in Sheffield. You could argue Grajczonek, Howarth, Todd Kurtz and Bates have also "found their level"? That's four of their top 5. They've all been on similar averages for a few years now. Bates is seen as an excellent signing but in three years he's averaged, 3.53, 5.58 and 5.02. On top of that he's publicly said he doesn't want to be there. I'm not saying I don't rate Sheffield as I definitely think they'll be in the mix as I think Bjerre is the big average improver and they have talented youth at reserve, but there's question marks in every single team named.
  11. Agree. Never wanted a rider to succeed as much as I did Paco bless him.
  12. I hope it isn't! He's one I wanted back at Foxhall next year he averaged just under 7 the season before last. He definitely has an average increase in him which as we all know is the name of the game.
  13. Crackng looking side that. Does it fit? Even with the two 2 pointers it still looks a little hefty..
  14. Agree with this. I avoid the diner on the first bend but the second bend fish and chips is pretty good.
  15. Nothing we didn't already know in the Star today. Just mainly about the release of Barker and him being "Gutted" that he isn't being kept on as he loves the club, fans and track and thought he done enough to earn a place next year. Louis feeling sorry for him but the usual numbers game excuse and he had a decision to make which he took. Whole 1-7 hoping to be announced in next 2-3 weeks.
  16. In tomorrow's @ipswichstar24 it's @chrislouisIWSC team latest @ipswichspeedway Tweet from Mike Bacon.
  17. Jack Holder gets a thumbs up from me also. But I suspect he gets the thumbs up from most supporters elsewhere and the lad won't be short of offers.
  18. Louis clearly knows his team then and must be pretty advanced already in putting it together otherwise you'd think he'd keep as many options available as possible.
  19. For what it's worth, Chris Louis has just confirmed to me on twitter that Danyon Hume and other new assessed riders will indeed be a 2.00, not a 3.00.
  20. Listening to CL tonight, it definitely seems as though both Hume and Mountain will be a 2.00 and at least one if not both of them will be in the team. King also sounded a shoe in to be back. Also said he hopes to have the team done and dusted in the next 2-3 weeks so not long to wait.
