  1. It took Louis literally months to wade through all the red tape for Emil, starting in early November and finally getting all clearance in early March. Why would Laguta be any different? If Leicester do announce Laguta and he can ride straight away, it’ll be interesting to know when they actually started the process of signing him. If it was months ago, then the plan along along must have been for Fricke or Harris to be a temporary signing.
  2. That’s the whole idea of having more than one account. No point doing it if you’re going to post in the same style. One account to play the serious poster card, and another to act the forum pr!ck.
  3. LOL that’s rich coming from you! Do you want me to dig up all your pre-season posts from the vaults where you were championing his signing shouting from the rooftops that he was “a very good shrewd signing” that you were very happy with, even posting up his eye catching scores from the previous season to back up your comments?? Are you going to reply with this account, or log out and log in to your Basso account to throw in a laughing emoji?
  4. That’s exactly what you and Flappy were predicting him to be this year at the start of the season. “One of the real big guns” wasn’t it? Now after a poor start you’re making excuses. Oh I bet they’ll be devastated about that!
  5. Always wondered what happened to him! Travelling down for this and setting off early so any weather updates appreciated. I expect this to be close as well especially if Craig Cook is at reserve. Hume was poor again for Redcar last night and despite having the odd cracking ride for Ipswich here and there, just hasn’t really got going yet. Klindt has shown a liking for Foxhall in the past as has KK. If they find form Ipswich will be in bother cos Cookie is a certainty to rack up the points at reserve.
  6. He did indeed ride but regretted it. He’s suffering from some sort of brain fog and dizziness that they can’t get to the bottom of. He thought he was improving slightly so gave it a go for Germany, but the same issues reared up again and he struggled to hang on to the bike. He could be missing for a while.
  7. Of course you don’t! LOL nobody has to watch them to know that Craig Cook is a better rider than Ben Cook. Your bias towards anything related to Poole is literally off the scale and the reason anything you post regarding them can’t be taken seriously.
  8. I find Hume quite frustrating. He needs to find more consistency because he has it in his locker to be a very handy rider. He can have dreadful rides and then pull the odd cracker out of the bag once or twice a meeting. He’s done it this season a few times already. Much more consistency needed.
  9. Emil still ended up with a couple of heat victories. Laguta never won a race, a second and four third places. People get far too hung up on what happens in Poland, there’s ridiculous quality in almost every race!
  10. Well it isn’t is it, things have changed on that front unless you’ve missed it? Phil Morris isn’t god, and of course he can’t stop clubs from closing. Wasn’t the same things said last year regarding Peterborough? It seems that every year for the last few it’s going to be the “last one”. Let’s just wait and see IF it is to be the case this time, and also if Tomalin is good for his word on finding another site IF the worst happens. Wolves has literally come out of the blue, but again it isn’t cut and dried is it? Let’s just wait and see. Depends what kind of person you are, you can be a glass half empty or a glass half full kind of person. I personally prefer to wait until things actually happen before running around like my hair is on fire. “You can only push clubs and merge leagues until a point where it become unsustainable..and we’re not far away from that” I’ll bet you’re wrong here. In ten years time there will still be a British League Speedway of some sort. No idea what it’ll look like, but there will be a British League.
  11. Another defeatist! What’s wrong with you lot? This forum is a cesspit of complete misery!! You can wave the white flag and stop going if you like, but there’s plenty of good speedway I’m looking forward to attending in both leagues this year and I’m sure there’s thousands of others across the country that feel the same. It’s not a case of “burying head in the sand” as someone put it, far from it I acknowledge the difficulties some are facing and it’s concerning. But there was real enthusiasm before the season started and despite doubts over the longer term future of Peterborough and now Wolves, neither club have folded and it’s as you were as far as this season’s league set up is concerned so why do people think everyone should now just throw in the towel? It’s bizarre. If the worst does happen with those clubs then the relevant people will deal with that if and when that arises. If that means pushing another club or two in to the top flight, or merging the two in to one big league who knows, but life is short and none of us who post on here even know if we’ll be here this time next year! Live for today, smile, and worry about what happens next year and beyond when the time comes. You never know, it might not end up as bad as you think!
  12. It’s a fair point that. Leicester was a track that a few thought Emil would take a few rides to figure out, but on his first ever ride there he smashes the track record on his way to a full max! Ok Emil is a level above Fricke, but you’re correct Fricke is still a quality rider and GP rider and he’s been poor so far and must do better. He was very good around his home Belle Vue track when he got comfortable so I’d expect it to be the same around Leicester, eventually! Needs to get cracking mind.
  13. He’s right, that’s unforgivable from Hume there. You can visibly see him shut off way before the finish line, you just don’t do that!
  14. You’re such a bloody drama queen you have to be one of the biggest glass half empty whinges on here you absolutely reek of negativity! You were trying to tell everyone yesterday that THIS season was basically over because of the news from Wolves and that everyone should now basically shut up shop. LOL what an absolute load of b0llocks. Sorry to disappoint you, but there’s an awful lot of people out there who are still very much enjoying their speedway and will continue to look forward to their speedway fix this season. Nobody was pleased to hear the news coming out of Wolves yesterday and of course it’s a big concern going forward as is the uncertainty from Peterborough and one or two others. But supporters can’t control what happens in 2024 so why should we all just join you in wallowing in complete misery? From what’s been said since, the white flag hasn’t been waved at Wolves in any case and the fight now commences. Have you joined in and signed the online petition to keep Wolves in operation? Let me guess, it’s not worth it because it’ll make no difference as you’ve already decided Wolves are now dead and buried. Am I right? There will be British Speedway in 2024, guaranteed.
  15. If it was the same person contradicting themselves you’d have a point but it isn’t so that’s a bit of a random generalisation! There were those last year that did indeed think Doyle lacked back up, are they the exact same people that are now saying the bottom end is too weak now that back up has arrived? Not sure it is personally. Two different Witches fans can have two different opinions and stick to them. Which one fan said Joe Thompson was on the pace doing a good job, and then said the following week he was out of his depth? Or was it as I suspect, two different people with differing opinions?
  16. Like what? Nobody has pulled out this year it’s 2024 where the doubts are coming from. The only ones who have “written off” the 2023 season are TTT and his Panthers mates and that’s simply because of their crap start to the season!
  17. I’d personally be leaving Rew til the 4th programmed ride whilst he’s still learning. I was there last week and he looked shaky in his first few rides, but much more comfortable and quicker when the track slickened off in his 4th ride. Hume first 2, then King, then Rew.
  18. Then why not do it in the bloody winter instead of after one meeting! He openly said he was willing to ride here. Spending god knows what (800 quid is it?) on a set of Kevlars and then say off you go after one single meeting is a pi$s take. Dreadful way to treat a rider.
  19. Lindgren fits as a straight swap for Pedersen doesn’t he? Why the need to swap Worrall for Tungate as well? I’m sorry but axing Worrall after one meeting is ridiculous and is one of the reasons they brought in the transfer window to stop this sort of nonsense happening which they’ve now done away with sadly.
  20. Looking forward to this one! Think it’ll be close
