  1. It did, but would have been far sooner without the nudge from Iversen that sent Emil in to no man’s land and cost him so much ground which he very quickly made back up again. He was far and away the fastest rider there. Gated poorly in his one defeat and was stone last before making his way through traffic and still almost caught Basso at the end. Thought Emil’s gating was pretty sluggish most of the night with one or two exceptions.
  2. Wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world in my opinion. They’ve already lost a home meeting and I honestly can’t see this side winning anywhere on the road. This team isn’t top 4 material. If Pedersen doesn’t return I’d already look in to tinkering with the make up of the side and make more than one change.
  3. Hope not! Planning on attending this and looking forward to it.
  4. That was as good as his night got. How did he get on in his final two rides? Two third places wasn’t it? As ever, form elsewhere is a poor indicator of form here anyway, Pedersen left for dust in heat 1 before coming a cropper. Bit bizarre to state that based on nationality! Fact is Rew had never seen Peterborough before, all tracks are different and prepared different and yet he scored the same number of points as a seasoned GB rider (Worrall) who has ridden the Showground countless times. After taking a few rides naturally to find the best way around, he wins an important heat for his team beating Basso from the back no less. That was impressive.
  5. Why is Doyle wearing last years Kevlars?
  6. I’d expect a fair few neutrals will be traveling also. Sayfutdinov Pedersen and Doyle all in the one meeting mixing it is something we haven’t seen here in quite a while. I’ve quite a trek so will wait until Thursday morning to get a more accurate forecast as we know it can change on an hourly basis.
  7. Has to be a doubt here. Planned on doing this one and the Ipswich Peterborough meeting on Thursday but both look ropey weather wise.
  8. Redcar still the pick for me as well. Look the standout side with very few weaknesses.
  9. They do, but they don’t have have Doyle and Sayfutdinov at 1 and 5 either. Can’t have everything. Rew will be absolutely sound by the way, this boy is talented and the Ipswich fans will enjoy watching him. Has a style that will make him very popular.
  10. Are you blind? Weren’t you one of those ripping Heeps a new one for turning up to pre-season out of shape? Pretty sure you were! He’s out of shape.
  11. Bloody hell the young lad has had a good winter! And people gave Heeps stick!!! Sorry, but he won’t last long..
  12. I agree Lynn have the potential for two or three to up their averages significantly. The only problem I see here is Lynn could have done with last seasons rules on no changes being allowed once the league campaign gets underway. Lynn will be hamstrung for strengthening once a couple increase their averages, whilst there is a few clubs who could see their team average tumble and have scope to swap out a middle order rider for another heatleader, or a weak reserve for a middle order man. I’ve always been of the opinion that if you got your team building wrong to start with tough, you’ve had all winter to get it right. Changes should only be allowed to swap out injured riders.
  13. Think Ipswich would have benefited from Emil having a meeting under his belt before their first league fixture next week, but from a business point of view there no way Louis would let that happen. IMO they’ll want Emil’s first meeting here to be at Foxhall.
  14. What a cracking line up fair play. Deserves a good turnout.
  15. Whose time have I “wasted” here? And where have I tried “to be clever”? I’ve don’t nothing of the sort so get off your high horse ffs. You say you never mentioned anything about decline and no you didn’t say the actual word, so what did you mean by “another year older” if you didn’t mean declining? Everybody is another year older in 12 months that’s generally how it works! No need to be an arse.
  16. You didn’t no, others have though. Didn’t see the point of making another separate post.
  17. Hope it’s Manzares personally. He’s a much better rider than he showed in his last stint over here as his previous stint at Ipswich shows.
  18. Thank you. As I suspected, none of them even seriously threatened the 9 point barrier, they didn’t get close to him. Those 3 will also have the same added competition that Doyle has so that won’t just affect Doyle it’ll impact them too. As for “another year older”, I don’t think a few months during the close season will suddenly see a meaningful decline..
