Yes he missed the gate in his first ride and packed up at the back with machinery issues, but then looked fast in his next two and was clearly faster than Bewely in his fourth ride when he steamed under him and Bewely dropped it for which Doyle got ridiculously excluded. Let’s not start the “he’s no loss anyway” stuff because it just makes you look daft. And as for the second highlighted bit, nobody is falling for that old codswallop!! Why do fans do this nonsense? It isn’t assessed, that’s not what that word means. It’s his official average that he achieved on track. If they want to play by those rules then his average should have been REASSESSED to an average that aligns to his current ability. And no he can’t guest as per the regulations I agree.

Went last night and what a cracking evening. So many happy smiling faces, not just the fans, but the riders too. Emil in particular was very excitable. And you get some miserable sods who will try and tell you it’s all pointless and not worth winning. There may not be a monetary prize, but its sport and standing on a podium and lifting silverware is very much worth winning to all those involved. Life in general can get so sh!t at times for all of us, so moments like these which puts smiles on so many faces even for a short while, should be embraced.

Whether he’s permitted to miss the meeting or not, the fact is that another rider is also in the same meeting so would also be permitted to miss if he wanted, is still riding for his club. It makes no sense at all. We Know Neil Watson was/is also close to Ged Rathbone and has been liking posts but saying little. Perhaps, delicate negotiations are going on behind the scenes and nobody can say anything on the matter right now? Who knows. Of course nobody is entitled to know all the ins and outs on private negotiations and conversations, but there’s an awful lot of Peterborough supporters that will be hurting right now and thinking the club they love is about to die. For their sakes it needs to be resolved one way or another and full explanations need to be made when those involved are able to do so.

Unfortunately it seems as though Keith Chapman is of a different opinion and he’s the one currently running the show. Are they fighting WITH each other and FOR each other to keep Speedway at Peterborough? Or is there more than one fight going on here?

That’s very kind of you, thank you. I suspect you’re correct, between claims and counter claims we’ll probably never know the full truth. At least in Wolves’ situation the fans have been told there definitely won’t be speedway next year, but the plan is to return in ‘25. They have that hope to cling on to. The Peterborough fans at the moment don’t even have that, it seems as though it’s a case of “that’s it” unfortunately. It needs further, fuller explanations from those involved rather than leaving the supporters with so many unanswered questions.

Chapman is no saint, not many people are. But I’m struggling to understand where the likes of you and Flappy are coming from here with regards to Keith Chapman. do you genuinely believe that Chapman has refused a cash offer to buy the club, and instead plans to just close it down for nothing out of pure spite and lose the money offered? Why would he do that? He’s a business man he’s not daft.

This is getting even more confusing. Why would Keith Chapman turn down a monetary offer for the club, and instead simply close it at the end of the season and make absolutely nothing? That just doesn’t make any sense to me. Again, more questions than answers. I’m not denying that Ged Rathbone made an offer by the way I honestly have no idea. This whole thing stinks to high heaven and very little seems to make any sense. Can you please answer just one question if you’re allowed? If Ged Rathbone had any offer accepted this year for Peterborough, where did he plan on running the Speedway in 2024?

I see Neil Watson has like your post, can either of you come out and say what the plan is/was had any offer been successful? Where did Ged plan to run Peterborough next season? Are they of a different opinion to Keith Chapman in that he thinks it’s entirely possible after all to run at the Showground again next year? If not where were they running?. So many questions so little answers!

And this is the crux of it. Where else are they going to go and who is funding it?

With all due respect to Mick Bratley, maybe he’s not privy to the information Keith Chapman has and so doesn’t know he’s wasting his time? Again I don’t know that’s the case and fair play to Mick he clearly loves his club and his Speedway. Maybe Keith Chapman has the information that all the protestations in the world won’t make a jot of difference and he’s effectively pi**ing in the wind?

Why all the cloak and dagger of posts being made on social media about offers being made, and then strangely deleted? Where is Tomalin?? Rathbone? CJ? Has any of them come out and said publicly that there’s a future still to fight for but Buster is putting kebosh on it all and won’t let it happen? Has any of those mentioned come out with concrete plans of what they’d like to fight for, what they plan to do and what is possible to achieve?

Maybe he knows more than anyone and knows it’s futile? Just playing devils advocate, but Buster hasn’t changed his story from a statement he made in the summer saying this was the last season has he? He’s kept to that all along as much as people don’t want to hear it.
