  1. Blackbird & Halsey Ellis & Morley Worrall & Greaves Ward & Janowski Schlein & Bjerre All the best Rob
  2. He will be a very good signing for the Heathens - he was looking extremely competitive towards the end of last season. I expect Arron to add at least two points to his average, if not more. All the best Rob
  3. It does sound very promising. All the best Rob
  4. Looks far more appealing to me - with the NL returning to what it's really supposed to be about. The best two NL meetings I saw in 2014 were Buxton vs Scunny and Scunny vs Buxton. Two good, competitive meetings between two cracking sets of young riders. Only went to Brandon for one NL meeting in 2014. May go to quite a few more in 2015. All the best Rob
  5. Points limits seems about right. I think Mr Morrish looked in the discussion that Greyhoundp and myself had around a month ago.... we decided on 36 and 30 as well All the best Rob
  6. But regarding MPT it's really not that complicated. Next year, his PL average is.... his PL average. All the best Rob
  7. That's more of a challenge. I'm going for: Greg Hancock Barry Briggs Ivan Mauger Hans Nielsen Nicki Pedersen Ove Fundin Erik Gundersen Tony Rickardsson Mark Loram Jack Young All the best Rob
  8. Questions are a bit easy, aren't they? Got any difficult ones? All the best Rob
  9. Of course MPT is on 4.92.... it's his PL average. It's not assessed, but an actual average. All the best Rob
  10. Ok, I'm going to test this one out: Stubborn Alright, you can have that one. Miserable And that one Dull Not at all... well maybe... sometimes. 60+ Nope who drives a Ford Nope watches Pointless Yup and longs for the Bill to return? The Bill? Utter crap. If only you'd have asked about Juliet Bravo Seriously, though, the sample is far too small to be representative. A sample of 1000 and the results would then be worthwhile. All the best Rob
  11. Agree, although it will be the end of September rather than end of October, as Rob G's planning the play-off final for Sept next year. All the best Rob Strange how he was on nearly 9.00 in 2012 then. Josh had a tricky last season, due to lack of meetings (not having an EL team), a few bike niggles, and illness. Josh is a quality act, and easily has the ability to add at least a point to his starting average. All the best Rob
  12. David Howe 7.50, Alex Davies 7.38. All the best Rob
  13. Chewbacca, well Rod Hunter was Newcastle's No 1 in 1989, so obviously you don't regard the Diamonds as a big club All the best Rob
  14. According to Tai, there was an inter-gender clash at Edinburgh some years back. All the best Rob
  15. That's a rather cynical viewpoint. If not for the intervention of the local MP, I'm sure they would already be houses in the place of Oxford Stadium. All the best Rob
  16. He agreed to be second reserve at Poole, something that several other riders had already turned down. More fool them! Bomber's route back into the GP was a little through the backdoor, although to be fair, he did put in a very good performance at Wimborne Road. But, for the 2015 series he is a bona fide qualifier and I can't see how anyone can have a problem with that. All the best Rob
  17. And deny another 11 youngsters a chance in the NL. Why? The riders are out there: give them a chance. All the best Rob
  18. Greyhoundp, Nice work - looking at those teams, a mamimum points limit of 36 would go a long way to doing the required job. I'd still like to see two 3.00 men per team, as it stops one team splashing the clash and grabbing all the talented riders around the 3.30-4.00 mark. And a minimum points limit of 30? As I've said before, both Cradley and Scunthorpe were built legally within the team building strengths for 2014. But those strenghts had to be looked at for 2015 to avoid the same disparaties happening again. With at least three new teams in 2015, this is now even more important. Cradley will still end up putting together an attractive side whatever the limit. But I think their fans, as well as everyone else, would prefer a lower limit ensuring a more competitive league. All the best Rob
  19. Vog, not a bad idea - yes three under 4.00 would make sense. All the best Rob
  20. There's plenty of riders knocking on the door for a NL place. With 11 teams, I think the max limit needs to be around 33-35, the min limit needs to be around 28-30, and it should be three 3.00 riders per side. All the best Rob
  21. Next Amateur meeting at Scunthorpe is on Sunday, December 7th. Free admission. All the best Rob
  22. You didn't check his end-of-season GSA for 2014 then? All the best Rob
  23. Neither were set to ride for Buxton. Neither had a team place until Scunny came along. And, in any case, then where would have the youngsters blooded by Buxton then gone? The more teams that can run at this level the better, because the more young riders get a chance. I think it very strange that some people think a smaller league would be better. All the best Rob
