  1. It's when I read posts like yours I realise that no matter what people do or say, you definately can't please everyone all the time. Yes you are entitled to an opinion, even if you are on a 24 hour pass. If you didn't find this meeting entertaining I definately agree it's time you found another hobby and sport to watch. The racing was fast and furious, loads of passing, meeting result not decided until final heat - what more does a speedway fan want?
  2. FGS. There really are some saddo's following this sport who want to over-analyse every word spoken and every wheel turned. Get a grip, it's just people talking about speedway into a microphone. Everyone has their own style (even Millard) and most people get better with experience. None of these skills are born into us.
  3. The next 7 days worth of fixtures and start times are in the same place as they have been all season.
  4. Start time is in Speedway Star and on BSPA website.
  5. BSI operate with a very small number of staff. 99.9% of the time that number of staff is sufficient and cost effective.
  6. Another reason they weren't holding it today is that all the officials (BSI/ IMG) were in Denmark last night. A bit of mad dash to get prepared and to Coventry for this morning. Also bear in mind that today/ this afternoon was probably the restaging day for the Vojens meeting anyway.
  7. Well done, it's only taken you seven days to find some negativety about probably one of the best ever meetings staged in this country.
  8. Website looks good Tony. Sure has changed a lot since the last time I looked at it.
  9. Perhaps the large queue had something to do with the fact that a lot of people had the same idea and decided to buy their tickets on the day. Just a thought.
  10. I think you'll find the BackTrack magazine is specifically aimed at the 1970s and 1980s period. I believe it states this on the front cover.
  11. Are you being serious? Just think, he may have had a gun, a cannon or a nuclear missile under his jacket. What unruly element, one person?
  12. You can make an issue that the race was called back when Lindback was in front, but he also had a fair lead in the re-run as well.
  13. Congratulations to Jason Crump for his great 2006 World Championship victory. Also a TRUE CHAMPION on and of track for both club and country. Here's to many more to come over the next few years.
  14. What is hatted? Is that when an irate speedway fan hits him with a very large hat?
  15. It was hardly a dirty move. He nearly ran into the back of Adams as Adams was going too slow, thus blocked Pedersen's line.
  16. I think that was round 1984 if my memory serves me correct, and I remember it well and do actually know who the person was that Sanders had words with (and it wasn't me before anyone says anything). I do think the Reading fans were provoked that night, as there had been a lot of bad blood between the two promotions leading up to that title decider. It resulted in the Ipswich riders going on their victory lap with their crash helmets on. It also didn't help that John Cook and Billy Sanders were repeatedly giving out the 'V' signs on that victory lap. So that's two incidents in 22 years at Smallmead, so obviously there is a problem there then. But I guess that's what happens when people drink on an empty head.
  17. So you are now going to reply by saying that there is a problem slowly creeping into the sport? Well it's so slow that we have probably had about 4 incidents in 10 years. Sorry but I don't see that as any problem at all. All I say is deal with those that offended and let that be an end to it. How would you deal with it. Stop all alcohol at a speedway meeting? Get some perspective please. I don't supose you will though, because as ever you are the forum drama queen.
  18. I might of guessed you would have come out with a posting like this. It was a one off incident, but you then go on to speak about someone might get stabbed. Crazy!!! As always, you are the forum drama queen.
  19. Not like the sweaty's to cause any bother. Or was I dreaming when the Jocks smashed up Wembley many years go.
  20. It still is and always will be a family sport - don't let the antics of a few idiots cloud your judgement. All-day drinking will always have this type of incident. there are idiots in all walks of life, where should speedway be any different.
