  1. Not 100% but don't clubs get fined for any fixtures not run. Hence Kings Lynn riding against Rye house this Wednesday.
  2. Race rusty? Bjerre rode 3 times this weekend for Peterborough, Josh G rode for Somerset, Branford riding for Rye, Howarth rode last night for Wolves, JPB rode for GB u21 Sunday need I go on. So not race rusty.
  3. Let's be honest would he go public and say it was a crap night. No don't think so.
  4. Sadly Groupon doesn't work as all the regulars buy tickets cheap and the revenue goes down. I forget which club did it and it was all over social media, tickets sold out and crowd was very little improved. Just less paid at the gate. Plus if you have a season ticket, you would feel a little P#### if offers were given all the time, and you got nothing extra for your lotyalty. Grrrr
  5. Looking at company records, Leicester Speedway 2017 has been owned by Keith Chapman for the last 11 months, where as Leicester Speedway has been owned and still is according to company records owned by David Hemsley & Nick Hurst. Whatever is happening I hope all goes well, and that it's for the good of speedway. Could it be Buster saw this coming a long time off?
  6. How about Kevin Wolbert plus a 2 point rider. A little weak at the tail but if they improve we could be well up for it.
  7. This is just the same as in the past. JAP to JAWA 2 valve JAWA to 4 valve WESLAKE & JAWA Upright to Laydown
  8. Bet his names in the programme. Not going to gain any respect pulling a stunt like this.
  9. It's a pity the record books will show Sheffield as champions if they win. Somerset have won the league by 3 points and Sheffield ended 20 points behind. So League champions Somerset (the clue is in the name) Play off winner to be decided. When all's said and done it's only a money maker, a bit like the GP's But then it's all about entertaining the fans so does it matter.
  10. Does any one know what the cut off date is for re declaring a team in the PL
  11. Does any one know what the cut off date is for re declaring a team in the PL
  12. Good luck to him, but not one for the future starting NL at the age of 31
  13. Winning the league is all about teams witrh riders upping there averages. Thats what Edinburgh did last season. You have to take a chance. But let's start with a team that can win at home each week. We need to be going home with a smile each Thursday.
  14. Could he have one due to his Moto 3 racing, just change the employer, ie Red Bull now Sheffield speedway ????
  15. Riders don't become "Crap" over night. Sheffield always have a team of racers not gaters. Nico is another racer, and last night was seen to be trying that many lines to pass the Ippo riders. We just were not making gates. I feel the track is not helping our riders, look what Tay can do when there is grip on the outside. I know we had Stocks last weekend and weather has not been consistent so watering can not be done as they would like. But and it's a big but, if we don't get quality racing the fans will stay away. I can cope with loosing but poor racing never. Give the riders a "Race" track please!!!!!!
  16. Speedway Star keep saying riders are out for 28 days after a head injury. I think this is true of most sports.
  17. I was told it was once a rider has signed in he is not alowed to ride any where else. As Worral won't have signed on is why he was alowed.
  18. Simon never seemed to get out of first gear at Sheffield. His best score being 5 +1 twice and averaged 4.4 at home. I am sure Ben will score more than this very quickly.
  19. Not sure, but as Colin Meredith was present at Mondays meeting. Perhaps he was looking the track/airfence over to see if we can have the British semi-final. Just a guess
  20. I think it will be the same format as used at Birmingham tonight. 15 heats 3 reserve races 1 final 19 heats in total
  21. "interminable" bloody hell had to look that one up :-)
  22. I understand what is being said, and I am not saying all the new promotion is doing is right. It just takes time and some times to get it right you have to make a mistake or two along the way. I think the main problem we are seeing here is a very limited time, from buying to opening night. Fingers crossed for the future and all that is said on hear is listened to and taken on board in the spirit it is meant and not as critisism. Yours Devils advocates friend.
  23. Looks like we are back to the same old same old. A new promotion has moved in and we are all back to moaning about Season tickets, programmes, airfence. These guys have just spent a fortune buying the club, bringing in new riders, and all this in a very difficult financial time. People think they should get every thing for nothing, the new promotion are not a charity. These are buisness men saving our speedway club, and trying to build a future. It's not F1 or Premier league soccer, we don't ven get the crowds of non-league soccer. Shout too loud at these guys and they may just say, whats the point in trying. They won't get it all right first time, but with the time scale they have, I don't think it's going too bad.
