Captain Baconheid ( Fredde Schott) wasn't too shabby round there -
09/06/23 Edinburgh v Glasgow (CH)
Paulco replied to Endeavour's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Big night ahead for us as we attempt to restore our dignity after living with the humiliation as the only visiting Championship side to lose at Armadale this season . That blight on our reputation has to be eradicated if our title ambitions are to be taken seriously . Hopefully we can put the new look Monarchs to the sword . I see they have moved the Italian porn star's race from heat 14 to heat 8 , that should ease the impact if its a close meeting . Hopefully the new Dane is of the Peter Juul variety and having a collie dog and a 57 year old Aussie prospect at reserve has a negligible effect . So we go along the M8 with hope on Friday evening of maintaining our 100% start to the league campaign -
That was an easy meeting to get over Tuesday's disappointment , but you have to fear for Birmingham

Glasgow Vs Redcar 2nd leg KOC QF 30th May

Sometimes you just have to accept you were beat by a better team on the night . Redcar were excellent and thoroughly deserved the win . Good luck in the rest of the competition -

That competition you are bumping your gums about , can even remember who won it , was supposed to finish with a three team tournament at Sheffield. So when that got changed the three teams had more important matters to settle at the end of the season . Anyway back to last night , that was a terrific meeting and maybe we did go over the top celebrating at the end , but winning away from home is always brilliant -

Tigers win away , Monarchs pumped at home . If Carlsberg did Friday nights . -
Glasgow v Edinburgh , Easter Sunday
Paulco replied to Weeyin's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Was actually a pretty entertaining meeting which turned on Cook's exclusion . Was a rash move on his part , but it happens . For us Harris got better as the meeting progressed, Vissing showed what a nonsense his 5 point average is and the rest all chipped in . For the Monarchs , you can see them being a two man team on their travels this season -

Monarchs pumped , normal service resumed -
So do we get a 10 point start for sponsoring the league . It's only fair as compensation for a conflict of interests and laughing at sporting integrity

Cab Direct Championship
Paulco replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
This is hilarious. You expect the paranoia from the other end of the M8 , but the affliction goes much further than there . Speedway fan - wish the league had a sponsor Speedway God- it has now Speedway Fan - yeah but its a Glasgow promoters company , surely that's a conflict of interests Speedway God - how ? Speedway fan - i dont know it just is . Thats them trying to buy the league again Speedway God - how ? Speedway fan - ( getting more worked up ) I dont know it just is . It seems well dodgy though . Speedway God - in what way ? Speedway fan ( reaching for the valium) i dont know it just is . So there you have it , the league and the sport badly needs sponsors , but only.if it's the right kind of sponsor . If Vladimir Putin owned Cab Taxis , nobody on here would bat an eyelid . But anything to do with splash the cash Glasgow and its , " oh no no no we cant have that "- 45 replies

On this occasion the pies were definitely the culprit
-
I was up all night hurling into the toilet after eating those pies last season , never again
-
Theyre out , but the full extent of not having the two home and away set up.is now evident

Can Birmingham fit in Connor Bailey ?
-
I said the pride of Scotland , not the noisy neighbours

To be fair to Arthur and his ilk . It's tough for them to understand how things are in the Championship . There are two types of rider in our league . Those who ride for Glasgow Tigers and those who wish they rode for Glasgow Tigers . Now the pressure of having such an accolade placed upon them has proved too heavy a burden on some of them in the past . But this septet assembled for 2023 look a terrifying prospect for the rest of the league . And you can only see the pride of Scotland steamrollering their way through the season .

Glasgow look like the Harlem Globetrotters of the Championship in 2023 , so it's just a matter of who finishes runner up . While the other seven clubs will finish above Edinburgh
-
Michael Penfold trumps that

We had that conversation at Shawfield back in the glory years when we were thumping everyone at home . It does actually get boring after a while . Give me what we have now every time , and if we manage to win something - fine , if not then as long as the entertainment on view stays the same .
-
But we are considerably , considerably richer than you
-
Thats the two from last season that we really wanted back now secured

I see Son of God has signed for Leicester . That possibly makes the Jubilee Cup thingy even sillier
