  1. Nothing worse than travelling a long way and it's rained off, I have plenty experience of that , so I hope the weather behaves itself for you
  2. We need at least one more away win in our quest for a top two finish , all due respect to Plymouth , but out of the away fixtures we have left this is the best chance
  3. Not 100% sure , but I don't think Danny is making his comeback until the home meeting with Ipswich on Sunday
  4. No , it's fine , all that's missing is the weather forecast
  5. Promoters only want transparency until they see a loophole in the rule book themselves that they can take advantage of .
  6. He might need the practice at Ashfield , but unfortunately this meeting is at Rye House where we will do well to repeat last season's magnificent victory
  7. O'Malley did , Penfold rode in the number 4 position only scoring in one meeting , 2 points in a home KO Cup meeting against Kings Lynn . He went back home after about a month citing home sickness as an excuse
  8. Possibly or it could work the other way of giving clubs an end of season interest . Having the League Cup run over a month at the end of the season is surely much better than having group stages done by the middle of April and then having the semis 5 months later .
  9. We still have the accolade of having the worst though . Take a bow Jayden O'Malley and Michael Penfold
  10. League Cup would be better served as an end of season tournament , this year's final is going to be in October anyway . We could have the League and play offs and KO Cup decided by the middle of September , then have the League Cup to finish the season
  11. Edinburgh clearly decided he was a flop
  12. Yeah Poole will probably win that again . Whilst Somerset look a cut above , our league title is not so easy to predict
  13. Somerset's northern tour in a couple of weeks will be an indication of how they can perform , especially at potential play off opponents , at difficult away tracks . Both Ashfield and , as per usual , Armadale have been fortresses this season
  14. Being dominant at home isn't enough , and what I saw of Workington yesterday , top 6 is well out of their reach
  15. A lot of that depends as much on how quick the referee is to put the red lights on , some don't give the riders a chance to clear the track
  16. Somerset have really clicked this year and are the team to beat . Grajczonek is doing what is expected , Tungate has found a new impetus since leaving Ipswich and Wright is as steady as ever . Starke has really kicked on this year and in Wilson Dean and Jake Allan they always have a potent reserve , which means they can be patient with the other laddie at 7 . Over two legs anything is possible , but they have been the team of the year . My own team look the side most capable of giving them a run for it , but we'd have to improve a bit away from home , especially at the Oak Tree Arena where we have fallen away in the second half of meetings there . Edinburgh and Newcastle cant be written off , but I get the suspicion that Glasgow and Somerset will be seeing quite a bit of each other in the closing weeks of the season
  17. Edinburgh getting 4 points at Peterborough yesterday makes it imperative we get at least one more away win . Somerset look out on their own , but over two legs anything can happen , but securing second place in the league is important
  18. More like October than August in the Charlie Monk stand today , racing was pretty poor too apart from when Lunna missed the gate and heat 15 . Worst Workington team in living memory at Ashfield , but it's another three points in our quest for honours .
  19. Was just a case of when the rain started , Edinburgh didn't fancy it . None more so than heat 11 when Masters and M Riss gated and the Tigers pair breezed past them , then Masters toured round in his own time . Thought that you could get excluded for not making a bona fida attempt to race . But Edinburgh's unprofessionalism apart , that was a really solid and impressive performance by the Tigers today , and surely a 24 point lead is defendable , even at the Dump
  20. Hope the final is better entertainment than last night's meeting . Thankfully Australia held on and the Joker didn't win the day
  21. Just adds fuel to the flame , let's go out and put the tie to bed on Sunday and make the second leg irrelevant . No point getting into the rights and wrongs of the Mitchell Davey thing , Edinburgh got away with it at Scunthorpe , the BSPA have obviously decided that the manipulation wont happen again .
  22. He might have stubbed his toe in the pits after the meeting last night . Obviously he must have got a medical certificate to excuse him from his ordeal tonight
