There are two of them this season

Don't know about a pre season one , but I hope you guys will be up for another drink in the bar after the meeting on May 4th
-
And the darts

All Jenga's fault . It was an informative and interesting thread on a stalwart of British speedway's possible comeback , then Jenga got involved and it all went to pot . So the rule is Jenga stays on Workington threads if they'll have him .
-
I prefer my speedway in the flesh , so couldnt give a toss . Especially if they're going to ignore the Championship altogether , they can go swivel .
-
Indeed it was , against Neil Evitts and Peter Carr , what a race , what a meeting
-
Best meeting I ever saw at Sheffield was in 1991
-
Milton Keynes closed down in the 90's
-
There should be a Trelawny in there somewhere
-
if that's the Robert Smith chippy , it's vastly over rated . I got a steak pie supper there once and the pie was freezing in the middle , I haven't been back there since
-
Why ? People are interested in what David's plans are regarding resuming his speedway career . Just because you used it as an excuse to have another pop at Glasgow , that doesn't mean the thread should be killed .
-
David is an ex-Tiger , so why not ?
-
What's wrong with wanting to win Jenga ? Is that not the point of entering any competition ?

Your Greatest 10 British Riders Of All Time.?
Paulco replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Years Gone By
In my lifetime ( was too young to see Craven ride ) , you have to put Woffinden top of the list . Despite him turning his back on British Speedway , he is a double world champion . 1 Tai Woffinden 2 Peter Collins 3 Michael Lee 4 Mark Loram 5 Dave Jessup 6 Malcolm Simmons 7 John Louis 8 Chris Morton 9 Eric Boocock 10 Kenny Carter -
His obsession with Glasgow is keeping him awake at night . Cant really blame the poor bloke . We all know there are two types of speedway fan , Glasgow fans and those who wished they were Glasgow fans

And how do we work that one Einstein ?

They cancelled Glasgow's visit there 5 days before I was due to travel there , 2 years ago , had to cancel my hotel and make alternative arrangements , ended up at Scunthorpe v Rye House instead . So the MCN show is a bloody nuisance to speedway .

The Three Best / Worst - Memories You Have About Speedway.

Best - Glasgow beating Cradley Heath in the 1992 inter league cup . Glasgow clinching the 2nd division championship in 1993 , first time it had ever happened Robert Nagy winning the division 2 riders championship , again first time a Glasgow rider had done that The Shawfield era of the early nineties was Glasgow's golden age Worst - Svein Kaasa being killed at Hampden in 1972 Glasgow having to ride home meetings at Workington in 1987 Glasgow dropping down a league for the 1974 season and losing McMillan and Beaton as a consequence -
Exactly , when our best rider reckons British speedway is beneath him , then the Back the Brit rallying cry takes a bit of a bashing

While we're a slave to averages and points limits , then what do you expect . If promoters decide Lawson , R Worrall and Neilsen aren't an attractive enough proposition with their current averages , then that's just the way it is .
