Ipswich Witches Vs Glasgow Tigers Thurs 4th May C1
Paulco replied to Pob's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Thanks to everyone who made it an enjoyable evening at Foxhall . Okay the meeting was a bit gate and go , but it was always relatively close and that kept it interesting . I'd have taken a point before the meeting , but I thought the chances of that had gone after heat 13 , but heat 15 was the best race of the evening and silenced the massif round about me . And Mr Long , surely my accent isn't too difficult to understand Very big thanks to Super Blue for the lift back to the B and B , and to all the lads ( and lassie ) who came in the bar for a drink after the meeting . Another cracking visit to Ipswich done and dusted . -

Hope not , I've yet to see us lose at Foxhall . We need Richie to come up with the type of performance he did last year , and Richard and Aaron to back him up . Dan to carry on where he left off on Saturday and Tom and Jack to get amongst their reserves . Easy to say haha . Anyway looking forward to the after meeting drinks with the Massif , win , lose or draw . Hope we get a cracker of a meeting . -

Anyone who's visited Kirkcaldy ice rink for an ice hockey match will struggle to have a soft spot for anything that comes out of that particular town . -
Berwick V Ipswich Championship 29/4/17
Paulco replied to allthegearbutnaeidea's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Not what Berwick need at all . Shame the track seems to have been bad last night , only a couple of weeks ago it produced a great meeting against Glasgow . Hard to see where Berwick go from here , obviously riders attitudes instigated the necessary changes , but the balance of the side looks all wrong . When you have a tail as long as that you really need your three top men scoring close to 40 points , no easy task . I hope things work out for them , last thing the sport needs is to lose another track , but home defeat after home defeat brings it's own dangers financially , hope they can turn things around soon . -

That's the one thing Armadale has better than Glasgow , a proper bar where supporters can enjoy a drink and chat with the opposition fans about speedway . That Tigers den thing is a café with folk coming and going and you cant get comfortable there . The memorabilia in the Armadale bar is impressive , apart from one certain item haha -
The injury rider replacement rule is one of the more sensible rules introduced . Takes a bit of pressure off the reserves . Felt for young Jack tonight , he looked so down sitting on the back of the victory truck . It's a tough learning curve for him , hopefully he doesn't put too much pressure on himself .

That was sweet . That was as dominant a performance in the derby as I can remember . We were well up for it , and they hadn't an answer . Had it not been for the hard working Mark Riss it would have been really embarrassing . By all accounts Edinburgh's gating at home last night was awful , tonight it wasn't even that good as we were bike lengths clear in many of the races . Worrall , Lawson , Summers and particularly Bewley were immense , we could even lose the luckless Lunna early on and still canter to victory . Only M Riss and Wells offered any resistance , the rest were dreadful . I've been guilty of criticising the track so far this season as it has been a one line track , tonight it was much better .
