  1. But Berwick aren't doing anything underhand , they're just adjusting things while they can , before Gappmaier's average changes .
  2. If Gappmaier hasn't raced the necessary meetings to acquire a new average , then it makes perfect sense to make this move before he does . Everyone else uses or bends loopholes in the rules to get what they want , so I don't see what Berwick are doing wrong . If dodgy burgers at Berlin airport can start you on an assessed 7 the following year , then the all-Austrian Morris dancing best pairs is a legitimate miss .
  3. Certainly not , but finishing in front of Edinburgh almost means you're there or thereabouts . Nothing to do with obsessions , just recent history dictating .
  4. Seems your wish has been granted tonight
  5. Berwick wouldn't catch you even if they got double points for having track covers
  6. And leagues aint won in May , we're not even at the tickly bit yet .
  7. Since there are only two of us , I don't understand your comment
  8. Not recently as it turned out , 57 seven points of sheer happiness , but yes Friday is another day
  9. No we're quite happy with the way things are progressing thank you very much
  10. True , only the Grand Monarch could cope with Sarjeant and Tommy the Tape Toucher in the same race
  11. That's a surprise , cause Peterborough was the only away track he wasn't pants at when he was a Workington rider . Everyone assumed he would end up a Panther at some point , so surprising he's not doing it at home at least .
  12. Could you not have signed him last week ?
  13. Aye credit where credit's due . When I saw the Monarchs' line up I thought a pumping was on the cards , but to come away with a point was a remarkable achievement .
  14. loved the recent edition and the feature about my childhood hero , Charlie Monk
  15. We'll be heading through with more hope of getting something , than we usually do , on Friday evening . Richie has been in great form this season and will lead the challenge against the Monarchs . Aaron too is coming into top form after a sluggish start to the season , and Richard is as reliable as ever , and scored well at Armadale guesting for Sheffield recently . If young Dan remembers the quickest was round there , then we wont be far away and the minimum target of a point should be achievable .
  16. August 4th then . Was a good night though . Pushing Crazysue in her wheelchair from the Golf to the track was hilarious , though a bit scary as the pavement shrunk in width as we got closer to the driveway leading to the track . Willie done his traffic cop act stopping the traffic
  17. Sorry for the mix up , had been a long day , we had been in the Golf since half past one
  18. Looked like a chain went by the way he came to a sudden stop . I know the Rebels fans round about me were disappointed ( understandably ) but from a neutral's perspective it was a brilliant night's racing . Some of the high speed action with four riders within a bike length was breathtaking and it's tracks like this that remind us why we have this sport in our blood . Rebels aren't far away , just lacking a big hitter at number 1 . However Josh Grajczonek was brilliant in taking the fight to the Wolves . Wolves were more solid and always seemed to have the meeting under control . Schlein was wheel perfect after a poor first ride and had excellent back up from Thorssell , Howarth , Lambert and our Richie . And it's the best I've seen Ellis Perks ride , he's improving fast . Brilliant night overall and great to see some old friends . And I think the Scottish referee was pleased to see a couple of familiar faces in the bar as he joined us for a drink , though I had to chastise him for holding the tapes a bit too long on a couple of occasions . And thanks to the lovely Debbie for the lift back to our B and B , much appreciated as it was very late . You don't get promoters doing that at many tracks I love going to Somerset , great racing and some of the friendliest fans in the country , it's a joy to visit the Oak Tree , roll on the Pairs .
