  1. He was signed on his previous East of England Showground form , which was good . Everyone knew his away form is pants , but now he isn't even doing it at home , so he cant be too surprised .
  2. Whatever folk think of the changes is irrelevant , I love it and makes it look a much more attractive fixture now . Bring it on .
  3. So after our magnificent effort at Sheffield last night and the Panthers probably getting softened up at the West Lothian midden tonight , I can only see one outcome in this meeting . Panthers were awful here last season , only Ostergaard ( once the track slickened off a bit ) and Tom Perry put up any fight , and Katy's distant relative rides for us now . Jack Holder did ok when up with Plymouth , but Hansen and Pearl and Dean were dreadful with Workington and Somerset respectively . Paul Starke has had a couple of decent meetings at Ashfield , and i'm not sure if Simon Lambert will be fit enough to ride . Our three superstars should carry on their merry points scoring way and our four youngsters should contribute enough to nudge us to around the mid fifties in our continuing pursuit of evil at the top of the league . Hope the forecast thunderstorms disappear in time for me to enjoy a few cold Budweisers in the Charlie Monk stand while texting to the updates site .
  4. With our top rider not interested and Harris and Nicholls knocking on a bit , second division level riders is all we have just now
  5. Why is it a bad attitude ? If I supported Peterborough or ( god forbid ) Edinburgh , i'd want my riders riding for my team . The performances of the Copenhagen Carpetmunchers or the Munich Munchkins wouldn't be of too much interest to me .
  6. He's been our best rider for the past season and a half , we can forgive him one below par performance . Took a while for any of our top 3 to get a place in the other league , i'm sure Aaron and Richie will get fixed up at some point .
  7. Close , but no cigar , but coming away from Owlerton with a point is always a good effort .
  8. They're quite welcome to ride in their leagues , just don't sign for a British club then
  9. Got to love British speedway , everyone riding everywhere else except where they should be lol
  10. Aye when I watched it live I thought " dirty Danish so and so " , but when you watch it again there wasn't really much in it , Richard did over react a bit , but it livened up a dull meeting , so not all bad . Might have been a better meeting if Andersen had shown more of that earlier .
  11. League's only a qualifying competition , being top doesn't really mean a lot , not at this stage anyway
  12. Usually not a happy hunting ground for us , so i'd take a point gladly
  13. Seriously Pinny ???? Must have some super models wandering about convict land that has spoiled you hahah
  14. Jenga cant get his geography or maths correct , so not one of the more believable rumours to appear on here lol
  15. Why would Rene be re-joining Glasgow ? He could only replace one of our heat leaders and that is highly unlikely
  16. Doubling up being as it is , means the guest thing just gets worse and worse .
  17. Cant argue with any of that , but what is the answer ? Squads have been mentioned , but isn't financially viable or is there sufficient riders willing to ride here . And teams get bad luck with injuries before we even go into the shambles the out of control doubling up has caused . If we do away with guests , then team speedway will be unworkable .
  18. At the start of the season when teams were built ( in both leagues ) to existing PL averages from last season , it made the rolling averages redundant .
  19. It's the old gating tart thing as opposed to exciting riders who thrill us with their exploits working their way through the field . Greg Hancock for example , great rider and seemingly able to defy old Father Time , but i'm sorry he doesn't get the juices flowing the way a Darcy Ward or a Tomas Gollob did .
  20. We had riders such as Joe Haines , not being able to take up a place in the World under 21's because of financial constraints . If the BSPA were serious about pushing the progress of young British riders that kind of thing wouldn't be an issue as the riders in question would be given that support . Whatever people think of Woffinden is irrelevant , in this instance not using a double world champion when he offers help just beggers belief .
  21. Riders not putting it all in to drop their average (Kevin Wolbert , Glasgow 2014 ) , much the same as footballers not putting it all in to get rid of a manager . Suppose these sorts of things happen in team sports , not just speedway .
