  1. So after a week's absence from Ashfield , we're back against the Bears . We're still without Nike and Redcar might have one or two injury worries of their own . Ellis Perks took a knock at Poole's bumpy track the other night , and at Somerset last Friday I saw Charles Wright taking a nasty looking tumble which caused him to miss the return fixture at Wolves on Monday . Will still be tricky though , Redcar are no longer the whipping boys and have the colourful pair of Garrity and Barker leading their attack . And it's a welcome return for Coty Garcia too . So let the rain stay away , let the track offer spectacular racing , let the temperature be warm and let the beer be cold . An entertaining home win as well please .
  2. Anyway , who's joining me on the 3rd bend tomorrow night ? Yes Armadale's track isn't my cup of tea , but it's still speedway and my team is there . Weatherwoman said there was to be a change to the recent good spell of weather , so hope any rain stays well away from the 'dale tomorrow . And I see it's Speedway Star's match of the week , maybe because they don't seem to do much racing in the top flight . Teams having 3 and 4 weeks between home meetings .
  3. Wasn't too many seasons ago that Steve Worrall left Newcastle and dropped into the 3rd tier with Stoke ( I think ) to regain his confidence . Didn't do Steve any harm , hopefully Liam benefits the same way .
  4. It's a shame though , during Workington's recent visit to Glasgow he looked much better than he had on any occasion i'd saw him ride in the last couple of years .
  5. No it just disguises things a wee bit at this stage
  6. I'm sure they are , the Chuckle brothers are well versed in such matters
  7. Yes , you'll need to wangle that one as long as humanly possible
  8. But Berwick aren't doing anything underhand , they're just adjusting things while they can , before Gappmaier's average changes .
  9. If Gappmaier hasn't raced the necessary meetings to acquire a new average , then it makes perfect sense to make this move before he does . Everyone else uses or bends loopholes in the rules to get what they want , so I don't see what Berwick are doing wrong . If dodgy burgers at Berlin airport can start you on an assessed 7 the following year , then the all-Austrian Morris dancing best pairs is a legitimate miss .
  10. Certainly not , but finishing in front of Edinburgh almost means you're there or thereabouts . Nothing to do with obsessions , just recent history dictating .
  11. Seems your wish has been granted tonight
  12. Berwick wouldn't catch you even if they got double points for having track covers
  13. And leagues aint won in May , we're not even at the tickly bit yet .
  14. Since there are only two of us , I don't understand your comment
  15. Not recently as it turned out , 57 seven points of sheer happiness , but yes Friday is another day
  16. No we're quite happy with the way things are progressing thank you very much
