Sorry to hear about Lewis Bridger's crash last night , hope he's not too badly hurt , these guys really deserve every penny they earn , no other sport comes close to the risks these boys take . Anyway onto today , dry and cloudy at the moment , there are showers forecast , but hopefully they'll give us a miss and let us enjoy an evening at the track . Our campaign has been interrupted by postponements and we need to get three points today to keep in touch with Ipswich and Edinburgh . We wont take Berwick for granted though , any team can be a threat on any given day , hope it's an entertaining and crash free tussle . -

No nobody is saying that The neutrals in attendance that have posted on here have stated that there was plenty of movement at the starts , especially Garrity . You're obviously a Bear's fan and are pointing the finger at the ref . Neutrals don't have their opinion blinded with natural bias towards any team , therefore a more balanced view is expressed . I'm not doubting you feel the ref had a nightmare , but when you take the Bears goggles off maybe he wasn't as bad as you think . -

Jim does attend functions at Glasgow , Edinburgh and Berwick . As i'm sure other referees do up and down the country . First and foremost they are speedway fans and unfortunately they are a dwindling bunch in number . Jim comes down hard on riders moving at the start , always has done . That can result in many reruns , but that's the way it is with Jim . But one thing he cant be accused of is bias towards Glasgow , we often feel quite the opposite . -

Think the dust should have settled by now . I suppose a lot of things were said out of frustration and in the heat of the moment . Hope Coty is ok and a rider's well being should always be the only concern that matters . So both teams will just have to dust themselves down and do it all again , and when the restaging happens I hope there isn't any controversy and the best team on the night wins . -
It's a secret

While all that is true , you cant blame the ordinary fan , who doesn't know what goes on behind the scenes , being disappointed when an important rider in his or her team is missing from the only meeting they're interested in . We know it's where speedway is just now , but for the average fan who pays his money at the gate , it's disappointing .

More disliked than Ben Powell ?

Yes plus David Nagel And swap Sean Courtney for Shane Bowes and Stewart MacDonald for Nagel and you have a pretty good 1994 side too

Glasgow's first ever league champions in 1993 . Robert Nagy Shane Bowes David Walsh Nigel Crabtree Mick Powell Jesper Olsen James Grieves Won the league in a canter and beat Jason Crump's Swindon in the KO Cup Final

Going back to my youth when Glasgow raced at Hampden Park . Glasgow had an evening newspaper then called the Evening Citizen , and on a Friday it was the Speedway special , with it almost completely dedicated to that week's home meeting . Now we're lucky to get a couple of lines in a newspaper .
