Just continually trying to improve things , making it in such a way to enable us to enjoy exciting and thrilling speedway . The track was too one line last season , the aim is to have a track that riders of both sides can attack and give the paying public the type of speedway to do justice to it's surroundings . No point having Chris Harris and not giving him the track to entertain us .
-
Suppose it depends where you are in the country , my missus went into WH Smiths in Paisley this morning and they had 5 copies on the shelf , well 4 after she left .
-
So much for the " we have to have doubling up as there's not enough riders " argument . 5.2 seems fair for an untried newcomer . If he flops then you move for someone else and if he's a bargain on that average then the club , whomever that is , deserves credit for doing their homework on him .

Glad to see Rene back in British speedway , a class act
-
Haha , this is a traditional BSF Christmas thread
-
Been offline for a few weeks while moving house etc , what the hell happened to the forum ? it's all weird looking
-
Agreed , definitely the poor man's Glasgow
-
That was freezing on a Saturday afternoon , but the following year it was shorts and t-shirt weather in Birmingham , the Baltic weather made a return at Berwick the following March . Honestly that night was the coldest i'd ever experienced at the speedway .
-
He's obviously got wind of the proposed change to the starting procedure for next season . Tommy the tapetoucher will benefit greatly from that .
-
But you do in sporting and entertainment events . Both sides of the argument have been well made and both are valid . We'll just have to wait and see if it causes an impact on the attendance level of the more mature supporter when the tapes rise in March . Apologists for the owners will back them to the hilt regardless , but I cant help feeling it's a bit harsh on supporters who have followed the Tigers over the decades and now find themselves at a certain age . We already have the most expensive speedway in the Championship , this is just another squeeze on the long term fan .

And Iversen
-
We always are anyway
-
I'd need to come and join you in the Black and Gold every weekend to get my speedway fix in that case lol
-
Our owners have done most things right , but i cant understand the thinking behind this decision . It beggers belief
-
Keeping them back just incase we get a couple of Edinburgh promoters shouting " spare change " outside the grandstand
-
We keep them for toilet roll
-
I don't understand the reasoning anyway . Surely when the Gallacticos are in town , the home tracks will be sold out with the punters drooling over the magnificence of the men in stripes .
-
Well that's the millions spent and the team of Gallacticos assembled . Just awaiting now the delivery of the golden coloured shale and the diamond encrusted big screen . Car park all marked out for the company Ferraris which will ferry the riders to the closer , more poverty ridden , tracks . While the state of the art lear jet will transport the riders to the more southern based tracks . Sponsorship from our good friend the Sultan of Brunei has been secured , even though the price of our season ticket was almost beyond his means . Looks like another interesting season ahead , and the stadium will be looking pristine come March after the Winter band of stadium workers clean the grandstand seats up with twenty pound notes .
-
I should be paying my yearly visit there that night
-
A strong engine room though , an almost certain dependable back up to two strong heat leaders , home and away . Only needs for James Sarjeant to leave his disappointing 2017 campaign behind ,now that he's back at the scene of his most successful season yet , for Glasgow to be serious title contenders .

Set Days The Ruin Of The Championship
Paulco replied to geoff100's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Ah so , it's not the winning , but the taking part that counts . That's where we've been going wrong -
Cracking night at Ibrox last night ( haven't said that for a while lol ) , welcome Chris and James to the Stripes and the great news we are becoming a FIM track and hosting a World under 21 World team cup round in July .
-
With Lakeside , Peterborough and Ipswich all in our league the possibility for a decent southern tour exists . All I need is for the fixture planner to use some common sense and I can start saving up some beer tokens
-
Couldn't agree more . A fair and well prepared track and two evenly matched sides and you forget all about the politics and red tape complicating the sport we love .
-
If he's anything like his Dad it would be wonderful to enjoy having him as a Tiger of the future .
