What have they done to my favourite track ? 4 heats of gate and go and now we're watching laps and laps of tractor racing . And they'e requested yet another track grade , losing the will to live -
That one baffled us all Ben

Looking forward to my annual pilgrimage to Highbridge , love the place and this should be a cracker of a meeting -
I can assure you it's not only Rye fans who have concerns about Harris

Noisy bunch of Rebels supporters with Glaswegian accents on the first bend haha , enjoyable evening though and two race wins from Son of God to cheer .

Glasgow v Workington 13th May 4pm
Paulco replied to Gazc's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Workington were just too good for us on the day , Proctor has never ridden better than he is now and Bewley was very impressive on his return . Bradley Wilson Dean had struggled to score a point in previous Ashfield visits , he looked a totally different rider yesterday . That result yesterday has turned the group on its head , with Workington now in pole position to come top . We need to take a long hard look at things , there is a definite problem in the pits with machinery . Young Jack is struggling with this , Worrall looks slow and Bomber's continuing difficulties are well documented . Blowing an engine at the tapes in heat 1 was a major blow , the second bike clearly wasn't fast enough , then he proceeded to break down on Jack Thomas' bike . When i heard him announced in red for heat 15 , i half expected to see him out on an Allied Vehicles mobility scooter , as it turned out that might have been a better option . -
I suppose two red Glasgow Tigers jackets might stick out haha

Its the machinery issues that cant go on . they don't become bad riders overnight , but they cant keep turning up with crap bikes . -
Starting a wee speedway holiday tomorrow , my first visit to Monmore Green , looking forward to it .

Well and truly pumped by a very good Workington side . Track slick as hell , top men riding lawn mowers , thank Christ for Lewis Kerr -
The field used to be stronger than a World Final . Obviously these days are long gone and we still seem to be locked in a downward spiral , but why is this meeting being held on the 9th of May ? Surely the top two in each team's averages at the end of September is what this meeting should be about .

It was me that said that i didn't think such a basic mistake would have happened if Stewart had still been team manager . That is just my opinion , this is a forum to put forward one's opinion . Your opinion is that the riders were to blame , that's fine , that's what you think . My confusion comes in when one is an opinion and another opinion is a sly comment . Very strange . -

Divided opinion then , some blame the rider , me and others blame the team manager . Surely the manager is in charge of what's happening in his side of the pits . Lets just be thankful it happened once the meeting was won , and that it is never repeated -

Should a team manager not at least make sure his riders leave the pits with the correct helmet colours on ? Surely that's basic stuff . Do you think that would have happened during Stewart's tenure ? Thankfully the meeting was won at that point , but the lack of experience in the managerial capacity is a worry . The meeting was very entertaining , good to see Richie and Bomber back to form . Pleased for Chris after the crap aimed in his direction by fans of his other club this week . -
I was mis-informed , it's the Saturday night fixture at Derwent Park which is the possible fixture for next weekend

Is our governing body now that spineless they just roll over and let Poland tickle their tummy everytime . Anyway back to yesterday's meeting , thought it was going to be a battering at one point , but the Riss siblings saved face for the Monarchs . Erik was the only Monarch consistently competing out of the gate , though Mark joined him once he got his set up sorted out . Wells was average , but Pickering battled hard for every point . the other two were rubbish . For us , i don't think we're quite there yet . Vissing was brilliant , heat 14 was an awesome race . Kerr also had a superb meeting . Harris has yet to find his feet at Ashfield , Starke is still a bit up and down , while i don't know what issues Worrall is having , but he looks slow . Four third places is not what you want from your number 1 . The two reserves were steady and did what was expected of them , especially the heat two 5-1 against a supposed stronger pair . A seven point weekend puts us firmly in control of the group though .
-
That's shocking , not like its a rearranged fixture , he should be at Ashfield . I remember Peter Waite sacking a rider for doing the same thing a few years back , and he was actually Polish . Makes it a better meeting cause r/r will score about half a dozen points more than Andersson would have , but its still a nonsense .

i hear youre up here next Sunday for the restaging of the Shield meeting

Been raining in Paisley for a couple of hours now , but i'm not worried as its a nice bit of natural watering , as long as it stops soon . A few of us meeting in the Horseshoe at half 12 to raise a glass or two in memory of Falkirkbandit ( wee Marty ) . Rest in peace wee man , we had some great times on speedway trips

Don't know why as it isn't full . I'm still in total shock
