If you could just strip away the politics surrounding the sport , the crazy rules that make it look daft , just watch something like that tonight , and speedway isn' so bad
-
Bit harsh on Ben , ok he's not scoring number 1 points , but he was involved in some terrific races tonight
-
Although we lost , that was a cracking meeting . Obviously the difference was at reserve and Jordan Stewart - wow what a prospect. Retire to the bar now , well done Bears
-
Some proper speedway tonight , it's excellent
-
Mental how a rider can get penalised because of his nationality . Anyway it makes it a better meeting and it's a beautiful evening here .
-
Hope Richie is fit enough to take his place in our side tonight , I notice his "B" team were using r-r for him last night .

The Jake Allen crash was more to do with him carrying too much speed into the 3rd and 4th bend , than the state of the track . Everyone round where I was stood knew he was going down . And Debbie was around , she ran me and Willie back to West Huntspill -
Only if Sundays performance isn't repeated

According to what I was told last night , Curtis became a moaning nightmare. They were scared to even go near him in the end up . You can't work with someone like that. Hope this is just a temporary blip because it's still one of the best venues in the country . -
Where is Kus then ?

The racing did get better after all the track work . I was disappointed in Swindon , on the way in I was told Bellego flies round Somerset , that proved not to be the case . Even Batchelor faded towards the end of the meeting . Somerset were good though with Wilson Dean the stand out . -

What have they done to my favourite track ? 4 heats of gate and go and now we're watching laps and laps of tractor racing . And they'e requested yet another track grade , losing the will to live -
That one baffled us all Ben

Looking forward to my annual pilgrimage to Highbridge , love the place and this should be a cracker of a meeting -
I can assure you it's not only Rye fans who have concerns about Harris
-
Noisy bunch of Rebels supporters with Glaswegian accents on the first bend haha , enjoyable evening though and two race wins from Son of God to cheer .
-
I hope you're right , i'm hoping for an exciting 46-44 either way , set me up for Somerset on Wednesday evening .

Glasgow v Workington 13th May 4pm
Paulco replied to Gazc's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Workington were just too good for us on the day , Proctor has never ridden better than he is now and Bewley was very impressive on his return . Bradley Wilson Dean had struggled to score a point in previous Ashfield visits , he looked a totally different rider yesterday . That result yesterday has turned the group on its head , with Workington now in pole position to come top . We need to take a long hard look at things , there is a definite problem in the pits with machinery . Young Jack is struggling with this , Worrall looks slow and Bomber's continuing difficulties are well documented . Blowing an engine at the tapes in heat 1 was a major blow , the second bike clearly wasn't fast enough , then he proceeded to break down on Jack Thomas' bike . When i heard him announced in red for heat 15 , i half expected to see him out on an Allied Vehicles mobility scooter , as it turned out that might have been a better option . -
I suppose two red Glasgow Tigers jackets might stick out haha

Its the machinery issues that cant go on . they don't become bad riders overnight , but they cant keep turning up with crap bikes . -
Starting a wee speedway holiday tomorrow , my first visit to Monmore Green , looking forward to it .

Well and truly pumped by a very good Workington side . Track slick as hell , top men riding lawn mowers , thank Christ for Lewis Kerr -
The field used to be stronger than a World Final . Obviously these days are long gone and we still seem to be locked in a downward spiral , but why is this meeting being held on the 9th of May ? Surely the top two in each team's averages at the end of September is what this meeting should be about .

Glasgow v Sheffield SGBCL 04/05/2018 @ 19.30
Paulco replied to Blackadder's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It was me that said that i didn't think such a basic mistake would have happened if Stewart had still been team manager . That is just my opinion , this is a forum to put forward one's opinion . Your opinion is that the riders were to blame , that's fine , that's what you think . My confusion comes in when one is an opinion and another opinion is a sly comment . Very strange .
