  1. We can speculate every aspect of Glasgow's performances , but the truth is , we should be doing far better than 34 points away from the home . Before Redcar strengthened up , everyone was winning there , we scrambled a point . Our away performances in the Championshio Shield were acceptable , but in the league it's a different story . At home we look far from convincing too . The utter shambolic performance against Workington in the Shield followed by the unforgivable collapse against Edinburgh in the cup has left a lasting effect on attendances We have an underperforming top two who seemingly cant get their machinery to work properly , getting them to get through a meeting on competative engines seems to be a bridge too far . We have a fan masquerading as a team manager who has no tactical nous or the ability to lift the team when the going gets tough. We are constantly fed the party line , that team spirit is good and dont panic Mr Mannering , everything will be ok . Well the harsh reality is , we put together a strong looking side at the start of the season and so far it's blown qualification out of a Shield group it had complete control of . Blown a KO Cup tie it was running away with . And with the next home meeting against the all conquering Lakeside Hammers looming large , defeat in that will leave the play offs looking a very distant holy grail . But dont worry folks , everything will be fine .
  2. So did we . 9 points from our top two clearly isnt good enough .
  3. And by the same token , we must have our best chance for a few seasons to get a result at Owlerton . As long as our mechanical issues dont resurface
  4. I'm off to your old stomping ground , Sunny Beach , a week on Friday . So can you message me best places to go to ?
  5. Dont see how this or the Pairs is workable if all 11 teams are in them
  6. Better meeting than i thought it was going to be . Worky's three scorers kept it interesting without ever looking threatening to get anything . Certainly if one of the missing riders had been there it would have been closer . Still you can only beat what's in front of you , and on that respect it was job done . We're still missing a points scoring reserve to make us contenders though .
  7. Maybe not , but when you have a reserve scoring double figures away from home you should have half a chance . Certainly when your number 7 scores 11 you should expect to get more than 32 .
  8. Have you been to Plymouth ? You can see some excellent speedway there despite its size . Likewise Redcar isnt the biggest , but the speedway can be brilliant there . On the other hand , Berwick is one of the biggest and you can watch 15 heats of follow the leader there . To quote the old saying " size doesnt matter " .
  9. If that field in Germany can host a GP , then a second GP in Britain at the NSS should be possible
  10. Not long home from the incredible experience of the NSS . First tine i had been there and i was blown away by the place . The track is stunning and it produced speedway we all crave , but rarely get . A worthy winner , the sky is the limit for young Lambert . And watching young Bewley round there is a joy to behold . Beautiful weather , fantastic racing and the feel good factor returning to the future of British Speedway . Thanks to whoever suggested the Diamond Lodge to me . A good few fans in there and the craic and the beer fliowed into the wee small hours . Loved my whole day out there , cant wait to go back
  11. Richard Lawson , son of the greatest ever Glasgow Tiger , Steve Lawson
  12. Looking forward to my first visit to the new Belle Vue track . Three Glasgow Tigers plus Son of God to cheer for .
  13. Despite all the gripes about the rules , as a speedway fan I thought it was fantastic entertainment
  14. Exactly , easy for us to sit on our couches and criticise , any one of us would have took second place at the start of the week
  15. Absolutely , we might be disappointed tonight , but we have real hope for the future
  16. That is tough to take , but we can be proud of our boys . Speedway the winner though , that was fantastic
  17. Both Poles are on a warning , that could come back to bite them on the arse . Hopefully in the final
  18. This is just incredible . My only worry is 2nd and 3rd wins the final
  19. Long live the speedway of nations , the world cup is dead . The qualifiers might have been average , but this is amazing . Come on Great Britain
  20. I enjoyed last night too , very entertaining meeting which could have went either way . Was tight throughout and when we got to the business end you couldn' with any confidence pick a winner . Heat 13 was excellent , Harris and Worrall made the start over Nicholls , but exiting bend 2 Nicholls picked up some grip , lifted and went into the side of Worrall . Accidental it might have been , but it got Nicholls into 2nd place and triggered off the red mist in Worrall which contributed to a terrific race and also a bit of afters going back up the ramp to the pits . The same protagonists reappeared for heat 15 with the scores level , but this time the Tigers duo roared from the tapes and made no mistake to score the meeting clinching 5-1 , though Nicholls and Worrall still managed a long and intense looking conversation on the warm down lap . Exciting meeting with a last heat decider , it's why we love it .
