Maybe optimistic starting a thread for this meeting during the current monsoon season , but after two consecutive rain offs followed by a blank weekend, we're desperate to get this on with the cut off date rapidly approaching . Covers are down , but the rain needs to stop at some point before tomorrow . So fingers crossed we get this on

I'm sorry , but when you enter a competition surely you want to try your best to try and win it . I dont get this argument when a team shows a wee bit of ambition the " win at all cost " accusation comes out . I really don't understand that way of thinking .

We're quite happy to cheer on the Bandits first . Be a nice warm up act before the serious stuff starts

I was sat in the front row of the stand and couldn't tell who had got up on the line , so nobody was well in front

Plus Mr Maximum Is away GP Challenging this weekend

And so it goes on and on and on and on . Cook can ride until the appeal is heard , he might yet still get banned . Which should make everybody very happy it seems

Local derby. Brummies v Lions 21/08

Be nice if Birmingham could upset the league leaders here -
He's being overshadowed by fellow reserve Connor Bailey recently , he's definitely struggling away from Ashfield. Yesterday was a disappointment, after losing a match we really should have won at Leicester , I was optimistic about our chances here , but we never got going and never really recovered from being 22-8 down after 5 heats . Take nothing away from the home side , they were much better than us on the day

No worries , enjoying my stadium carvery just now

To be fair to Claus, he did ok there in the cup tie earlier in the season , so it's pretty much like for like

Lions v Glasgow 17th August

£20 , they were babbling on about refunds when we left , but I wasn't really listening . I did worry about the less experienced riders on that 4th bend last night , after what Sam Jensen did in heat 14 , and watching Hume during heat 1 of the NL match only increased my doubts . How he stayed on I'll never know -

That was heart breaking for young Sam and us in heat 14 . Definitely a meeting that got away , but I'd happily take Leicester in the play offs -

Oh well , that was quite a downpour at 10 to 7 , bend 4 was underwater in no time . The earlier conversation about tyres was irrelevant as it would have needed to be jet skis . Never mind , we did a Berwick pub crawl instead , though there are one or two very strange pubs in Berwick -

Totally agree , the racing has been brilliant this season and although we sit proudly at the top of the league , we're not hammering teams at Ashfield . Every meeting , apart from Birmingham and Edinburgh , has been close battles . I'm just hoping our new number 2 was riding poor equipment last night as he looked very slow . But 4 wins in the space of 7 days , life is good -
Late start for a thread for this important meeting, 5 points clear at the top should we win it . What a week it's been already with wins at Scunny and Somerset since we were last here . Be a toughy tonight as we only scraped through by 2 points against the Bears when they knocked us out the cup on aggregate. So we need to be on it from the start . Ex-bear Mikkel B Andersen makes his debut for us , good luck agent Sarj at the dump , while the newly crowned British Champion , Charles Wright, heads the opposition . Going to be quite a meeting
