  2. Went into willie hills at one o-clock today and could only get 9/1 about adams - so had just a fiver on .
  3. Was beginning to get worried reading about every body getting theirs , but mine came this morning . Wasnt opened ,but didnt take a lot of effort to open it - just crappy envelopes methinks .
  4. Can anybody give me any information about a rider who rode for norwich just after WW2 called paddy mills . My father used to talk about him a lot and i was wondering what happened to him ? He rode for norwich from 1946 till 1952 , but i cant find anything more about him before or after .
  5. Im sure this is the same rider i saw at the scottish open at armadale last season . According to the programme he is 17 -born 29-12-88 - and at the time rode for fredericia in his homeland(denmark). He took his time to find his feet at armadale that night(not the first and wont be last)- two unplaced outings followed by two wins. He won ht10 beating daniel nermark, ronnie correy and jason lyons then won ht14 beating rusty harrison, anders nielsen and the meeting reserve adam mckinna . he finished that night in third place in ht18 behind mark lemon and david howe for a total of 7 points . But i was immpressed by him that night and as you can see by the company he was keeping is another decent danish prospect we can expect to see over here in the not too distant future .
  6. I vaguely remember a rider for glasgow in the early seventies called nils ringstrom - im pretty sure he was norwegian .
  7. i missed matthew wethers from my glasgow list - only last year as well- also bob maxfield who rode for us in the 70s he might have been a kiwi , but i think he was an aussie.
  8. puma its tom davie not rom. and i dont think anyone has mentioned the white ghost ken le breton.
  9. dont know about starting with the letter "A" i can only think of leigh adams. so just of the top of my head are the ones that rode for glasgow ( in my lifetime ).Charlie monk,Shane bowes,Shane parker,Corey blackman,Brian nixon,Mick powell,Bluey scott,Jason lyons, Robert ksiezak,Trent leverington,Merve janke,Mick Mckeon,Rusty harrison,Christian henry,Kevin doolan,Rod hunter and a couple who rode for paisley Stuart mountford,Tom davie and Bernie foot. ive probably missed a few , but i hope this is of some help because as has been already said there must be hundreds of aussies that have ridden over here.
  10. we were talking the other day about one of my favourite ever tigers riders - charlie monk. and i remember when the tigers rode at hampden park ( i was only about twelve at the time ) charlie was dragged kicking and screaming down to ride for sheffield for a season.it was blamed on the SCB - something about rider allocation. was this average based ? and as i remember charlie actually guested for us on numerous occassions that summer.
