  1. Another cracking Cardiff weekend just flew past in a blur . You look forward to it for weeks and in an instant it's gone . Didn't think the pubs were nearly as busy as last year , maybe the credit crunch is beginning to bite . But i had a great time and met loads of new people as well as a few more familiar faces . The GP itself doesn't have to be that good , as the whole day leading up to it is my highlight . Brilliant to meet Nevs , Mike PK , LW , WvrsH , Bobbin Along and Badge for the first time , plus anyone else who introduced themselves to me as there were too many to remember all the names . And it's always great to run into more kent faces like Jacques , Shadow , Full Throttle , Colin Cooke , Goldmember , KevH , Joanne , Shadders , B4E , Pammie , Merlin , Seb the Snail , Lucifer Sam , SCB , Silver Bee ,Dracula , MOT , Tsunami, UK Martin, Tanya and all the Newport crew - everyone was brilliant . And of course the pair of reprobates i watched the GP with Pinny and Reckless Eric - it was a cracking day and roll on next year . There were some i did want to catch up with , but so many people so little time . There's always next year .
  2. All packed and ready to go . Just got the small problem of a 10 hour nightshift to do tonight , before we hit the road for Somerset at 7-30 tomorrow morning .
  3. I'll try and make smokers corner at some point Nevs .
  4. Being a tight Jock i always take the Speedway Star and fill it in . Bloody programme is about a tenner .
  5. Belinda's alright , quite fit in her younger days . Dont think i'll be giving up drinking time to rush in to listen to her though .
  6. Brett bloody-Saunders rode for the Monarchs in the early nineties .
  7. Face it people . With the final being held at the super-slick , gating tart headquarters ( Voyens , Denmark ) . Does it matter what team we , or the rest of the countries send , we're only racing for second behind the Danes on an Ole Olsen prepared track .
  8. Interesting . But will we still have the " It's a knockout " type silly jokers ?
  9. Ah the Grand Prix monster . Tracks either like a motorway or downright dangerous . You can win a GP and receive less points for your efforts than the guy who finishes second . Disrupts speedway every other week . Makes you yearn for a good old one-off world final dont it .
  10. I think the way we now do it , is the fairest way .
  11. I dunno . Scotty throws quite a few in as well .......you know .
  12. That semi showed why Leigh Adams will never be world champion . Great rider and all that , but he was far too tentative on that track . I know the track was a disgrace and dangerous , but the likes of Gollob , Crump , Pedersen and Holta seemed to try and put the dangerousness of it out of their mind and attack the track . Adams almost looked as if he was tiptoeing round the bends . I actually thought his bike had packed in given the easy way he gave up that semi-final when a final place looked in the bag .
  13. Congratulations on your title win by the way Another period of gloating to suffer for us i'm afraid .
  14. I was thinking that during the meeting as well . Why didn't they all get together and refuse to race on that dangerous track . After all they weren't slow in doing that at Kings Lynn last year in the ELRC .
  15. Not that dodgy Edinburgh establishment with all the Monarchs stuff on the walls .
  16. Not just Millard . Pearson invented a new GP rule tonight just minutes before the final .
  17. Bryn has posted an update on the previous page . Thankfully there is no serious injury .
  18. So Holta is defo the winner then Or is it Lindgren or Ove Fundin maybe .
  19. Exactly . I was sure Pearson was just talking crap , but are we now saying the winner of the Grand Final was not the winner of the GP .
  20. Holta did win . The confusion just comes from Pearson and Tatum talking bollocks ........again .
