I'd just like to thank everyone connected with this edition . It was a fantastic read , and it was great wallowing in the nostalga . Well done to all concerned .

Charlie Monk was my very first Speedway hero . Despite his stoney expression , i used to wear a Charlie rosette when i was a kid . Charlie might not have been an all-smiling character , but boy could he ride a speedway bike . The fact that he never appeared in a World Final astonishes me to this day .

Why is it when people post perfectly good critisisms about any facet of speedway , you get classed as a moaning misery ? Was last night's GP any good ? - no it wasn't . Ok the weather didn't help , but any big meeting where one starting gate is so dominant over the other can't be good . Was it a major irritance that Sky replaced the last hour or so with Tennis ? Well yes it was irritating , wouldn't happen to cricket or football - so why speedway . Hope you get a decent crowd for your meeting on Monday , but having genuine opinions of something you don't agree with doesn't necessarily make anyone a moaning mysery .

Me too , she was lovely . Although she looked a wee bit like that burd that sang " Saturday Night " . But the bookie never got off scott free as , after spending all afternoon down the bowling club , i went to get a chinky for me and Mrs Paulco . As i was waiting i ran down to Corals and put a fiver on Lord Theo in the 5.10 at Newmarket - and it won at 10/1 happy days .

Piss poor from SKY though . Can you imagine watching Man Utd v Arsenal and being told to press the red button cause the tennis is starting .........no i don't think so either .

I'm too much of a gentleman to tell you Needless to say the after meeting get-together would involve Carlsberg Special Brew and Lionel Ritchie CD's .

All down to points now , as whoever gets red in the semi and final will have a huge advantage . But if i was a rider drawing for gates , although i might want red , i could see me getting lured by Miss White .

And long may it continue , as because this was in Sweden and i've had a few bevvys today - i put a tenner on AJ at 12/1
