In the light of this result , the 38 we got last week doesn't look so bad . Dont see anyone getting close to Leicester ar home -

Anyway back to last night's slaughter in the sunshine . It was as impressive performance as I've seen from the Tigers at Armadale , solid from 1 to 7 . The highlight being Danyon's win over Masters . Praise to the track too , it was as good and fair as I've seen it there 51-39 is normally quite a comprehensive away win , and it was , though it does actually flatter the Monarchs as they got the majority of their race wins once the meeting was over as a contest . None more so than Kye Thomsen's heat 14 win . He was well off the pace all night before popping out to win that race easily . Edinburgh's choice of waiting till heat 11 before putting a t/s in against Cook was quite baffling . But all in all it was a brilliant night for us on the third bend -

Only takes a couple to struggle and you've no chance away from home . But to be honest , three away wins will get you in the play offs ( as long as you win your home matches )., so there will be easier tasks than Leicester -

Glasgow v Berwick CL 22/4/22 @19-30

A very enjoyable evening , 56-34 doesn't reflect on how good a meeting it actually was . I'm getting more and more impressed with Connor Bailey . We knew this was a huge season for him as he has to break out of the reserve position to continue his progress , and he's certainly started off with that aim in mind . He looks much more aggressive in his riding , though its a controlled aggression even if Mr Etheridge disagreed . But as has been said , round Ashfield we don't look to be having a weak link , but the standard of the racing is the most important thing and the track is producing some spectacular stuff. Any race with Harris in it last night was brilliant . Berwick are a decent side and I can certainly see them as play off contenders this season . -
Blimey , didn't realise Boris took a break from Partygate and helping out the Ukraine to put the boot into speedway . Those Tories really are the nasty party .

All systems go for tomorrow, we have a fleet of ambulances and the casts of Casualty and Holby City on hand just in case , to make sure we get to heat 15 . But obviously we hope they won't be needed and Tigers riders ,and 30 yards back Berwick riders , arrive in the bar unscathed . -
Are Leicester the new Exeter ?

40 ??????? Seriously ? We cant allow that I'm afraid . We take our foot of the gas and let you get 40 , well it only encourages everyone else to think they have a chance at the Stadium of Speed when we all know that's just wishful thinking . No you might be better than the dodgy Diamonds , but 34 is a more realistic outcome . -
Another Friday night to drool over greatness as the Tigers bring total speedway to their adoring fans . This week's support act are Berwick Bandits , who themselves look a decent outfit this year . But how will they cope against the Championship's Galacticos ? Well they have 4 ex Tigers in their ranks . 2011 title winner Theo Pijper , 2007 GP winner Chris Harris , last year's Tiger Ricky Wells and Kyle Bickley . Add to that Jye Etheridge , Leon Flint and Ty Proctor . Can they raise their game a few levels to stem the flow of home 5-1's , that's the task facing the Bandits to try and stay in the meeting as long as they can . So its along to the Stadium of Speed for another couple of hours of pure entertainment on Friday

While mismatches like this do the sport no good , I have a long enough memory to remember being away supporting Glasgow on nights like that . Hopefully Newcastle can win enough of their home meetings to keep supporter interest , but with that team I can see a repeat of Mildenhall around 2008 . As for my lot , can't really judge on last night . Cook will never score an easier 15 point maximum , great debuts for Basso and Hume , solid scoring from Ostergaard , Brennan and Bailey . Broc Nicol was the only one who looked below par , and a drop to reserve beckons and might be the answer . I honestly don't see us losing at home this season , and three or four away wins will be enough to clinch a play off place . Be interesting to see how this team performs on their travels with an away baptism of fire at Leicester next week .
