  1. I'm assuming Connor and Danyon swop places again for July
  2. After the TV nonsense from the Monday and Thursday mini league , it's a return to proper speedway on Friday evening with a visit from the always entertaining Redcar Bears . Three ex Tigers in the shape of Wright , Roynon and Kerr in their ranks . The decent German ex Monarch , Erik Riss , and Jason Edwards who has developed a liking for our track guesting for other teams this season . So there is plenty of talent in their side to suggest this could be a close one . Unknown yet if Craig Cook will be fit enough to ride , but Mr Entertainment , Ben Basso , bouncing off the air fence ensures the admission money is worth every penny . Hopefully my good friends from Teesside will make the journey north , should be an excellent evening
  3. I think we all went into this one with a sense of trepidation, but in reality it was a pretty easy evening for the Tigers . Leicester had three heat leaders and four passengers . Horrible crash to start the meeting with Nick Morris' chain going with Cook right on his back wheel . So glad to see both get up , but maybe Craig should take a wee break now , too many crashes recently . After that we never had a failure , but Ben Basso all you can say is wow .
  4. Because he is a reserve, he did very well obviously , but putting him in against Harris and Batchelor wouldn't have made any difference to the result . The manager was right in this instance
  5. That daft mini league on a Monday and Thursday is good for the riders to earn a bit extra cash , but it's annoying when they come into the important stuff carrying knocks
  6. Not the general consensus from Comets fans though
  7. Track staff deserve every praise , at three o clock there looked no chance of this going ahead. It turned out to be an entertaining meeting despite the scoreline . Ben Basso was brilliant , though I think him and Ostergaard should be split up . Both riding the same line and getting in each others way , could end in tears one of these weeks
  8. He should have went instead of Richie Worrall , and his home ef against Workington in.the play off semi cost us a place in the final. But you're right , he is box office , I was lucky enough to be at Cardiff the night he won the British GP . What a night that was
  9. When he burst onto the scene with Ipswich , he looked a real prospect . Bit like Anders Rowe and Kyle Bickley , progress seems to have stalled
  10. We have two seasons , June and Winter , so it's Summer just now , mind you it's wet and damp this morning
  11. Flash the cash Glasgow, by the bitter and jealous is a good place to start
  12. Half price Parmo day on a Sunday is it ?
  13. Probably had Masters and Pickering been there it wouldn't have got as close , but the what ifs are hard to swallow . Think it was the first time I've ever seen Sedgmen pass anybody which he did in the last lap of the final heat
  14. Well done Edinburgh, the world and his wife knew what change should have been made in heat 14 , so what chance have we got of winning anything this season
  15. Hope we can keep this close tonight . It will be different from the league match as all three Monarchs heat leaders had average meetings by their standards then . I dont expect that to happen again. So anything less than a 10 point defeat will set up the guest fest tomorrow night nicely
  16. If the meeting between our two sides at Glasgow a couple of weeks ago is anything to go by , then bring it on . Poole , Glasgow , Leicester and possibly Redcar are looking like the four likeliest winners of trophies this season , with Poole looking favourites , but the end of the season could be a bit special
  17. Ruml was brilliant a couple of weeks ago guesting for Poole , Son of God in a Monarchs bib is a bit weird , but a solid number 1 around Ashfield , Sedgmen is a bit hit or miss , so in the lap of the gods with him for Pickering
  18. In case people have forgotten, we actually won the meeting
  19. See you tomorrow night George , I assume I can pay the hospitality with cash again ?
  20. Better here than scratching his arse all night in the Czech pits . Good track time ahead of next Friday's KO Cup meeting too
  21. I thought a field quite near the Armadale stadium was earmarked for the new track the last time the Monarchs were faced with eviction . Is that not a goer now ?
