  1. NL would kill it stone dead , so can't see that happening . Anyway there are rumours of a big takeover , so who would buy it and go NL ?
  2. Not true , there's still the " after the final , final " between Glasgow and Berwick on October 19th
  3. We've had the odd glimmer , but by and large he has disappointed .
  4. A proper number 1 is an essential . Simon Stead or Son of God would fit the bill . Keep Kasper and Dimitri and maybe Rusty and Theo unless they are reclaimed by their parent clubs . Definitely not Wolbert though , he's been a disgrace this year and I don't even care if he heads back to Smugville on his low average .
  5. Own team - erm Best meeting - Glasgow v Plymouth Best rider (own team ) Rusty Harrison mostly Best Overall team - erm .................them Weakest overall team - Rye House Best Visitors to our track - erm ...........god almighty ............them Weakest visitors - Rye House , couldn't win when we had to track two national leaguers Best rider seen at Ashfield - Son of God's 15 point maximum when Redcar were at Glasgow Best fans - probably Workington's Worst fans - nobody really , not even the smugs
  6. Need to wait on my newsletter being e-mailed during the week , but I'd be amazed if it wasn't three o clock
  7. Not after a hundred or so Airdrie neds swinging empty Buckfast bottles annex Berwick and make it a league of three
  8. Since our record in signing useless foreigners is second to none , you can't do without us
  9. There is a thread for all this twit for tat nonsense elsewhere , this was meant to be a light hearted take on the speedway situation
  10. You should head the BSPA , your organisational skills would be much needed there .
  11. Dont be silly , Victor was good enough for heat 15 , and he wasn't last , surely something to celebrate
  12. I've learned from experience , dont post anything on the BSF during a meeting . It's the kiss of death every time . Seriously ? Palovaara in heat 15 6 points from 4 heats since you said we were doing ok . Beware the curse of the BSF
  13. Maybe , but there's still hope that 2014 wont be an addition to the " smug " years .
  14. Would be wonderful , but highly unlikely . Both the Bandits and the Comets are minging round Overtaking Nirvana , whilst the Monarchs are perfectly capable of picking up at least a point at Shielfield and Derwent Parks .
  15. Waiting with bated breath for the BSF wages expert , Fred , to come on and give us his theory why Wolbert was rubbish yesterday .
  16. God that was painful to watch . Consistantly outgated , and predictably outclassed . Losing Rusty , especially at home , made it a mountain to climb . And it was a mountain we never remotely looked like climbing . What do you do with Wolbert ? Looked classy in the race he did gate in , didn't look remotely interested when he didn't gate , twice disgracefully riding into the pits before the race was done . Pijper was again our best rider , though Kasper as usual tried his heart out ( Wolbert take note ) . If only Kasper could gate , though he wouldn't be as entertaining . As for the Smugs , only weakness was Samantha . So another season's worth of pumpings from our pals , not easy to take .
