  1. Most missed - Hyde Road , may the new Belle Vue track come close . Coatbridge - you just don't get banking like that anymore .
  2. The " I know something you don't know " mob are the lifeblood of the forum They do it for our entertainment
  3. A guid New Year to all the Witches I met in July during and after our glorious draw in July . Wee Badge who came to my rescue when I ran out of fags ( it was a bit nerve wracking ) London Witch and Hayley and CrazySue for the cracking company , and the barman in the first bend bar for keeping it open till nearly midnight . I had a ball that night and looking forward to going back there in 2015 .
  4. While I'm still sober enough to negotiate my way round a keyboard , a very happy new year to all my fellow Tiggs . 2015 looks like it's going to be an exciting year on and off the track and it's looking possible that we will be following our team with optimism and confidence home and away , instead of just going through the motions . And to all my friends 40 miles along the M8 , GET IT RIGHT UP YE AND WE'RE COMING TO KICK YOUR BUTTS IN 2015
  5. A very happy new year to all my Bandits mates , looking forward to the Black and Gold club in 2015 , and the 3rd bend Scott and Kenny . And no , Kenny , I'm not a Bandit in disguise lol .
  6. He'll be a Glasgow rider before January's out
  7. This is the one thing that pisses me off about the asset system . Years ago the second tier was the natural progression to the top tier . If Poole want Jack Holder as an asset , then they use him in 2015 . If he is not regarded as EL good enough yet , then a PL team sign him and if he serves his apprenticeship successfully in the PL and Poole still want him , then they pay a nominal fee . Too often now EL sides are snapping these youngsters up on reputation and leaving the PL clubs to fight over the scraps . The wealth , such as it is , in speedway has to trickle down from the top to the bottom for the sport to have any chance of survival .
  8. Can you imagine it . A Glasgow v Smugs Grand Final . The Forum would explode , I would get banned , Blobby would still be questioning the Glasgow takeover , George M's preview ( I bow to his greatness ) would take up all the bandwidth , Dekker might make a reappearance at both legs . me and the Emmerdales would get pissed regardless , God it would be awesome
  9. Memories from 2011 better get the cameras and the sun block ready , and the knives sharpened . Would be nice to have a repeat of that season when both Tigers were at the right end of the table slugging it out
  10. 1 Glasgow Galacticos 2 The lesser Tigers from South Yorkshire 3 Anyone , but Edinburgh
  11. Zagar was a serial meeting dodger in his PL days , we never got a glimpse of him very often north of the border
  12. Remember being down at Somerset in 2006 when Lee Dicken beat Stefan Katt by riding round the boards for the whole 4 laps . The big man was good that night
  13. I gathered from talking to Devils fans , when I was down there in July , that Simota was a bit inconsistent . He was definitely on one of his going days against us that night scoring paid 17 . And as winning the majority of home fixtures should be first and foremost in a promotion's thinking , then his inclusion is perfectly understandable .
  14. A bit unfair including Lykke in with that lot . At least Kasper is entertaining to watch and always gives 100% . If Kasper could sort out his gating , he would be a heat leader . But I agree with your sentiment . If a foreign rider comes in on a 5 or a 7 and cant achieve that average over a season , if someone wants to sign them the following year they should revert back to the assessed mark .
  15. Mauger was definitely the best gater , apart from when up against a Pole taking a 30 yard run at the gate in a World Final run off . Any of the Collins brothers had you on the edge of your seat when they were carving their way past riders . Les at Powderhall was the most entertaining I've ever seen , you were praying he would fluff the start , even though he was in the opposition side .
  16. The old twit for tat excuse . I know a few Tigers fans that cling onto reasons for not attending Armadale . It's all nonsense however and petty that people let their outrages curtail their enjoyment of the sport we claim to love . I know I like to take the piss and sometimes I've upset Monarchs fans , but we're all speedway fans at the end of the day . I wasn't best pleased witnessing what happened that night at Armadale , but we've moved on since then surely .
  17. Sorry , I was away for Christmas . I read it in the speedway star a week or two back Yeah we could do with a Bosman in speedway . That's the most sensible statement on here . It's not as if we've got a team of speedway galacticos , money or not we're bound by the same restrictions as everybody else .
  18. That would appear to be the case , 25k for Summers is a nonsense and we wont pay that . I hope the lad doesnt miss out on a team place because of it .
  19. Was hoping the juniors would go and ground share with Petershill . Would solve a lot of problems not having any football at Ashfield at all .
  20. As long as they leave some of the Charlie Monk stand for me and Tyretrax to pay homage from every Sunday .
  21. As long as he was more Chris than James , then aye . We've had more than enough of guys on assessed averages to do us for a while though .
  22. Oh dear , I could sense the smug vibes from down in the General Discussion section .
  23. Wash your mouth out , the Monarchs fixation is a thing of amusement , it's hatred for that manky mob in Glasgow's east end haha
