  1. Only a handful I would imagine , certainly not as many as would have been there on the original staging date . But it's being shown live at Ashfield , so there will be a few of us there cheering from afar
  2. That's twice this season I've seen Ipswich away from home , and twice Covatti has been their best rider . We just couldn't put Ipswich away yesterday , despite being 11 points ahead at one point . There is just something not quite clicking with the Tigers at home at the moment , but you now get 3 points whether you win by 2 or 32 , so i'll take the 2 every week . Not the most entertaining of meeting , heat 13 apart , but it was an important win nevertheless . Seems Ipswich are better on the road than they are at home just now
  3. That was a pretty entertaining meeting . Wee Nick's ride in heat 13 was worth the admission alone . So glad he rides for us I'm pissed by the way , certain couple of Birmingham fans saw to that haha End of the day , I don't care about rule books and speedway's red tape , I just want to watch four riders on a track . And heat 13 today , Nick Morris take a bow son , that was amazing
  4. Seems David was second choice after that nonsense that appeared in today's Daily Record about us signing Darcy Ward haha
  5. One of our Monarchs friends above seems to have supplied the answer to that one
  6. And here was me thinking the fanzone was out the back of the Prince of Wales pub
  7. Are you sure he wasn't using it yesterday ? he looked super fast and going past riders like they were standing still
  8. One more point about yesterday . One of the races , cant remember which one , there was an unsatisfactory start . The new rules prevent the riders returning to the pits . But what we had yesterday was all four riders sat at the pits gate and a posse of mechanics descended onto the track and all sorts of adjustments were then carried out . New ruling is pretty pointless then .
  9. Looked a sore one , carried too much speed into the bend and caught the fence , but he got up and walked back to the pits , waving to the crowd , after a few minutes medical attention
  10. He's improved a lot since I saw him earlier on in the season Here I'm here . What crap remarks , I said it as I saw it on the updates and I was stood about 10 feet away from the little altercation . Cook's a terrific rider at PL level , we all know that , but the red mist descends far too often
  11. Well predicted Blobby . We certainly came back to earth with a bump today , out gated and out ridden for the majority of the meeting . Only Richard and the reserves riding anything like how they can . Edinburgh were very professional with Cook outstanding , though his reaction after heat 13 was disappointing . Yes the three riders , Cook , Masters and Lawson were very close together on the back straight , but that's racing . Though watching one rider wearing a crash helmet trying to head butt another rider wearing a crash helmet was comedy gold . Credit Masters for ushering Lawson away before it got really silly . Anyway well done Edinburgh , the pendulum seems to have swung back .............for now
  12. Hope he gets away with 7 , his starting is quality when he gets away with it
  13. Horseshoe Bar for three o clock before heading for the 5-24 train if anyone wants to join us
  14. Ach you never know . Hansen and Wells go ok round the dump and Wethers might rediscover some form round his old stomping ground . Might not be the slaughter that some think
  15. James' absence was the thing that probably lost us the meeting tonight . Clegg did ok , but James is improving week by week
  16. We lost a meeting that we probably should have won . It happens , we move on
  17. We're still building . We're usually rubbish remember . We still came out of an away meeting with a point .
  18. Though I think we do Newcastle a dis-service debating our frailities , they must have ridden their socks off tonight to pull that meeting out of the fire considering they were so understrength .
  19. Maybe he just needs a bit of match fitness . The stop-start way the season has started because of rain-offs hasn't helped him . They're only human and hopefully he rides his way out of this bad spell . I don't think any of us thought we were title favourites , but I still think we'll make the play offs as long as we don't lose too many of our riders through the doubling up irritation as the season progresses
