He seems a wee bit miffed with Edinburgh
-
Think oor Gordon wanted to introduce them to Matt Ford . No doubting that if anything was to be learned from another club , it makes sense to go to the consistently most successful
-
I'll do the jokes
-
Could be as potent a pair as Corey Blackman and Barry Campbell were
-
I don't see Ellis riding for Glasgow and slumming it with Poole being a major issue . Poole ride on a Wednesday and the occasional Monday for the telly , so minimal fixture clashes as there are no PL meetings on those days
-
Yes , I'd agree with that
-
Why wouldn't he want to live the speedway rider's dream and become a Glasgow Tiger . Only GP status is a higher accolade in the sport
-
Was probably the best number 2 in the PL last season , but riding at Armadale every week falsely inflates a rider's average
-
He certainly does , saw him at the ill-fated fours there and he looked very impressive Fair enough , but Danish second division over British second tier ? strange move That makes more sense why he's not back at the dump
-
He can be decent round Glasgow , but he's very inconsistent . Seen him have some stinkers at Ashfield too . Adam Ellis is a rider on a low average who could do a decent job for us at reserve
-
Which involves flying and is Danish speedway awash with cash ? Makes no sense Sedgmen not doing PL next season
-
Surely Sedgmen can double up/down /sideways and stay with the Monarchs as well as riding for Swindon . Cant see him earning enough on EL fixtures alone
-
I'm pretty sure it will be that top 4 , which leaves a long tail , a bit like the 2004 side
-
It's quite simply the biggest rivalry in British speedway , so sometimes it's going to get a wee bit messy on here . It's all good fun really
-
Given all the bile coming out of Edinburgh , we must be doing something right . Welcome to the Stripes Ben , an exciting signing for us .
-
This might be a long shot , but I'm guessing you support Edinburgh
-
Exactly , I've nothing against Glasgow riders doubling up , but I want us to have first call on their services
-
Aaron is a predictable , but welcome opening signing . Not surprised James and Victor wont be with us next year . James missed too many Friday away meetings due to his Coventry commitments , we cant have that any more . Similarly Victor missed midweek fixtures because of Swedish meetings . We need seven riders who Glasgow have first call on . Can see Victor ending up at Rye House , had easily his best away meeting there
-
I still get shivers when I remember the atmosphere going into heat 15 at Shawfield in 1992 when Glasgow beat Cradley . Would love to see this competition back , but with all the doubling up there would undoubtably be clashes where there are riders who ride for both clubs . So for that reason I cant see it ever happening again .

The Stars night there back in February was very good , but I understand your point of view . I'd be reluctant if it was held at Parkhead , can't please everyone I suppose .

Individual Manipulation Of Averages
Paulco replied to Robinh88's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Didn't inconvenience Kevin Wolbert too much in his average quest in 2014 -
Going back to the Masters / Pedersen confrontation , it's about time mechanics stuck to just readying the bikes , seems they all think they are their rider's minder as well .
-
No chance , he's done anyway
-
Ignore him , I'd be amazed if both Aaron and Richard weren't back next year . Worrall certainly appeals , his average isn't what it should be , he's pretty decent round Ashfield , and the dump for that matter , though he did blot his copybook during the league meeting with Somerset when he had an altercation with Aaron
-
Strange , with Cook seemingly leaving the PL behind , I would have thought Edinburgh could have kept the rest of this year's side together . Slamming Sam , Sedgmen and Wolbert would still make up an adequate heat leader trio
