You can never have too much controversy in a Scottish derby , bring it on And I believe Jimmy Culbert might be eligible
-
First I've heard of that rule , not doubting you , but it's incredible how many wee things like that are in the rule book Oh yes , he might not be the rider he once was , but we love to have a Monarchs bogeyman to boo . Fish is up there with Brett and Deek
-
Ok explain it to me , why does Max get a reduction ?
-
Dont see why Rebels fans are a bit wary , by miles they look to have signed the best NL 3 pointer and Wilson Dean looks to have bags of potential . This looks a pretty exciting looking side
-
He's married to Colin Caffrey's daughter now , so whether that allows him ( having a British wife ) to be the 3 pointer , I don't know . At his best he would have been better than the average 3 pointer , but he had a very bad injury and has been out of the saddle for a while . So who knows

Are There Any Characters Within The Sport Anymore?
Paulco replied to steve roberts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Terry Kelly was one I used to look forward to seeing whenever Workington came to Paisley or Coatbridge in the mid seventies . He was done when he eventually became a Tiger , but when he was at Workington he was a decent rider and was full of fun . And he had a temper too as I witnessed him lose it one night at Paisley . But most of the time his antics were light hearted and added to the enjoyment of the speedway -
reduction what for ?

Despite all the people having a wee dig at our side , I'm perfectly happy with it . We have a nine point man at number one and three supporting heat leaders all capable of improving on their starting average . Aaron was our rider of the season last year and I expect him to carry on where he left off . Ben Barker and Richie Worrall are far better riders than their averages suggest and both ride Ashfield well . As for the three other lads , Garcia and Lunna have only had one season over here , so who knows what kind of improvement might be in them and Danny Ayres seems to be a late starter at speedway , but his job is to beat the opposition number 7 rider , if he can do that on a regular basis , then all well and good .

The point was made earlier in this thread about the admission price at Glasgow being dropped to £15 last season making the increase for 2016 to £17-50 all the more eye watering . But what do we do ? We love our speedway , so there's no alternative but to pay the hike .
-
Ok , I don't read Faceache , so fair enough , we will know the final three
-
That's fair comment . But the general consensus from the Speedway attending public , on various threads on the Speedway discussions section , is that speedway is too expensive for the level of entertainment on offer , a £2-50 hike just confirms that view . I paid £17 to get into Kings Lynn last season , is it possible we could be on par or even more expensive than some Elite League venues in 2016 ?
-
I would doubt all 3 would be announced
-
They like to make an announcement at the Winter Stars night , and there's one on Saturday , so maybe then
-
Bit of a hike from £15 last season
-
When they held the Benfund meeting there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now that was what you call cold
-
If Nick Morris decides to do PL , then i think he'll be back at the Oak Tree
-
Too many fixture clashes with Coventry
-
Would be nice if it were possible In our Shawfield days it was the norm
-
Was Richard's signing only announced today ? I read about it in the Speedway Star this morning !!!!!!!!!!! did the Speedway Star scoop the internet and Mr Blobby ???????????? deary me
-
I'm sure it's all under control
-
That's the cold weather . Anyway not the most surprising signing , most of us expected him back . But I'm delighted nevertheless
-
Distance wouldn't be an issue as we'd just fly him up and back in the club Lear Jet . Anyway those of us who aren't of the " I know something you don't know " variety of supporter just throw names about on here to keep us amused . It's what gets us through the long , dark speedwayless winter months . And also , in the wake of the sorry Kevin Wolbert saga , from now on any prospective Tiger will have to pass the fit and proper person investigation first . If any said person has watched at least three episodes of Rebus , bought a Proclaimers CD , been tempted to go to a Hearts or Hibs football match , possess a blue and gold t-shirt or jacket , ate shortbread and have a liking for riding on trams , then they are barred from wearing the Stripes .
-
We only have his side right enough , and yes he has been a far better rider for Edinburgh than I thought he would when he signed
-
Fair comment , but some sort of contact to explain the position would have been courteous
-
We don't really know that he hasn't . Some clubs like a big announcement of their 1-7 at the same time , others like to drip feed the signings over a period of time . We seem to be in the latter bracket
