  1. Neil Vatcher and Lewis Kerr are the next guests at the NSSC on Thursday 14th January at 8pm. All money raised from these events goes to support the Young Lions. Everybody welcome, admission for non-members is £3.00. The BSPA have said that they will give more support to the youth programme so it will be interesting to hear Neil's views and plans for the future. Neil will also be saving a couple of major announcements for the evening regarding sponsorship and venues for the 2016 Youth Championships. It goes without saying that Lewis Kerr has a very big story to tell so come along, meet like minded speedway folk and get in the mood for the new season. 3. If Mr Sandhu is behind the re-location then presumably it will be for speedway and stock cars? If so the stadium and facilities will have to be far grander than Leicester (for example) to cope with the larger stock car crowds and associated space for all the race cars and transporters. Is it foolish to hope for something exciting to come out of this sad story?
  4. If anybody wants to come along to the next NSSC meeting on Thursday (19th November 8pm) you are more than welcome. There's a small charge of £3 for non members and all proceeds go to support Neil Vatcher and the Young Lions. Once again Adam Roynon is hosting the event, so plenty of laughs and our guests are Danny King and Mick Horton. So why not come and ask Mick Horton his plans for next year and beyond. Can't guarantee how much he will let on though For all details; http://www.nuneatonspeedwaysupportersclub.co.uk
  5. Its the first NSSC meeting at our new venue tonight, start 8pm. Everybody is welcome. There is a small charge of £3 for non-members and all money raised goes to Neil Vatchers' Young Lions. Guest night update Unfortunately Jason Garrity can no longer make our guest night but Adam Roynon will still be interviewing Danny King and James Sarjeant. (Jason Garrity r/r !) Hope to see you there! Please note our new venue: Brandon Club, Main Street, Brandon, Coventry CV8 3HW.
  6. All very nice but as expected no result of the enquiry as promised to the fans. Yet another speedway scandal just swept under the carpet. Well I for one will not be conned again!
  7. Well I've got my reply; "Thanks for your enquiry to the motorsports department regarding Speedway. There will be some further information regarding the Warsaw SGP following this week, so please do keep an eye out on the website and social media. Thanks again for your interest." A bit bland to say the least but confirms what DutchGrasstrack said. We shall see..........
  8. According to the Speedway Star, BSI are in the final stages of negotiations for the British rights for the SGP & SWC as Eurosport's deal expires soon. Does anybody know when there may be an announcement and who is in the frame?
  9. Why do we have to "let it go....." There is something very fishy here. How come one week he is so upset about his dad's accident he is not fit to race and the next he admits that he doesn't know what happened and doesn't really know his condition. Claiming that as he is a long way from home so he is not kept in the loop.....which is just ridiculous! If his father is seriously injured in Australia and Dakota is struggling to cope that is one thing, to be quoted later as not even knowing what the accident was or how is dad is doing is just taking us all as fools.
  10. And we are supposed to believe all that. So he was too upset to race yet he doesn't know what happened or what his condition is!? To claim that he is so far away that they haven't been able to keep him in the loop is just ridiculous! Somebody needs to tell him about telephones, e-mail, Twitter, Facebook etc etc Is somebody going to look into this....it stinks!
  11. So 5 months later and still no results of the "full investigation"!? Apathy rules!
  12. First of all I hope Dakota's father has a full recovery but I find it strange that his fathers condition is so serious that Dakota cannot concentrate on racing but not serious enough to fly home. Yet again Poole are called cheats. An annual occurrence. Such a shame really. We nearly got to the end of the season without too much controversy and now rules have been stretched to breaking point again by the usual protagonists.
  13. Well 'Gater1' you've got your wish....... "MF and Co can we please get a sick note for Dak North next week....Pay Dak for a certain amount of points and get a guest in :D" (From the Cov v Poole thread) Sadly it was so predictable.....why do other teams bother trying?
  14. The total fines of £4125 equate to only 230 full paying adults. Gates must fluctuate by more than that at every home meeting depending on the weather and visitors, so surely they can take this in their stride? Why involve the fans? For whatever reason they allowed themselves to get forced in to a difficult situation and then handled it badly. By all means pursue the ACU route but to go cap in hand to the fans is too much. Otherwise we shall all be expecting a bonus if/when we get a bumper gate in the final.
  15. Tomorrow nights meeting at the NSSC is an evening with Gary Havelock, interviewed by David Rowe. Everybody is welcome at our new venue, non-members only £3.00. All money raised goes to help British Youth speedway, the "Young Lions". Details here; http://www.younglionsspeedway.co.uk/next-guest-at-the-nssc-gary-havelock-all-proceeds-for-the-young-lions/
  16. If anybody fancies coming along and asking Gary Havelock for his views on this then everybody is welcome at the NSSC tomorrow night. (Non-members £3 for admission) David Rowe has kindly stepped in to the interviewers chair for this one so it should be an interesting night. All money raised supports the Young Lions, details here; http://www.younglionsspeedway.co.uk/next-guest-at-the-nssc-gary-havelock-all-proceeds-for-the-young-lions/
  17. If I can address this to Philip Rising. I think fans deserve results of the investigation (assuming there has been one) especially those of us sat in that freezing cold stadium wondering what the hell was going on. This debacle was the final straw as far as our family is concerned. Having previously endured no shows at Gothenburg, Gelsenkirchen and Riga, (all down to incompetence) and experienced BSI's insipid response to fans, this was our last SGP. No more SGP's. Not even Cardiff. The shambles of Warsaw should not be allowed to be swept under the carpet. This is my recent post on the Warsaw GP thread; This quote is from the SGP website on 22nd April 2015 (thought I'd better add the year as this is going to be a long job!) "BSI Speedway would like to further update fans following the unfortunate events of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix (SGP) in Warsaw. A full investigation is underway and BSI Speedway is working with the FIM, the PZM and Speed Sport to understand all the issues that led to the curtailment of the Grand Prix. This investigation will focus on the track and the starting gate and we will update fans in due course." As a disgruntled fan I am STILL waiting for an update, "in due course!".

  19. Apologies if I have missed it but have there been any results of the inquiry/investigation in to the shambles we witnessed in Warsaw? Or am I too naive to expect such a thing.
  20. Regarding the empty stadium, what did BSI expect. The racing last year was awful, I doubt many who were there would have bothered again. We sat there last year as the stadium emptied as the meeting went on. By the last few races two thirds of the crowd had left. Surely alarm bells must have been ringing somewhere? There needed to be drastic and well documented track improvements and perhaps a reduction in prices to tempt people back. However, a year on, the track was even worse and ticket prices started at €55. Anybody up for another Tampere SGP next year?
  21. Thanks for the info'. Our first foreign adventure in about 2000 was a similar SWC fixture at Landshut. It was Germany, USA (with John Cook!) and Denmark and ? Looking forward to a return visit next week after we go to St.Johann tomorrow for the SGP qualifier. Hope the weather gods are good to us.
  22. Thank you for the information. Looking forward to seeing speedway in the mountains!
  23. Sorry guys. I still can't find a line up for the GP qualifiers, particularly the one in St. Johann on 2nd May. I've followed the link from "Racers and Royals" but this still only shows 4 riders even though we are only just over a week away. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  24. If anybody fancies trying their luck and asking questions of one of the key figures on Saturday, Tony Steele will be the guest of the NSSC next Tuesday 28th April at 8pm. Everybody welcome. £3 for non-members. All proceeds go to help the British Young Lions (Under 16's). Please note our new venue, just off M6 Junction 2; http://www.nuneatonspeedwaysupportersclub.co.uk/directions/
