  1. A quartet featuring, Ian Brannan, Ben Duffill, Martin Hunter and Greg Blair will be bringing the full 'BSN Experience' to the NSSC on Tuesday, 15th April, so be prepared for a night that promises to be both entertaining and somewhat different to what we're used to. Ian is the 'voice' of BSN, a 13x award winning voiceover artist, responsible for the inflight announcements on Etihad Airline flights, a regular presenter for both BBC Radio Cumbria and BBC Radio Lancashire as well the man behind the 'No Brakes, No Fear' podcasts. Martin, co-owner of BSN, but more crucially is their head of production, an all round technical guru, especially when it comes down to his mastery of vMix software, which allows him to keep on top of BSN's live stream content. Ex Redcar Bears Promoter, Ben Duffill is the other director of BSN and is someone who is passionate about supporting Speedway and expanding its reach both within the UK and abroad. Greg Blair co-presents BSN's live stream content and is well known within Speedway circles as a former rider at Championship and National League level with Berwick, Scunthorpe and Mildenhall. We hope that you'll join us for what promises to be a fascinating evening. The event is at the Brandon Club on Tuesday 15th April and starts at 8pm. Venue: Brandon Club, Main Street, Brandon, CV8 3HW Entrance fee for members £2.00 Entrance fee for non-members £4.00
  2. Sorry about the doubling up 🤷‍♂️ If I knew how to delete one of the messages I would.
  3. The NSSC has had great support from the speedway world as they continue to raise funds to help the GB Young Lions. All the following are giving up their time to help today’s young riders. 15th April. The whole of the British Speedway Network team make their first visit to the Brandon Club. 22nd April. The very busy Tom Brennan makes time for his third visit. 6th May. Danny King. Always a very popular guest. The last winner of the NSSC Coventry Rider of the Year in 2016. 20th May. Scott Nicholls. Another regular and popular guest who may just have a few books left to sell. Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings with an entry fee of only £4. All proceeds are for the GB Young Lions. The NSSC has donated another £2,000 this year, making over £23,000 since 2012. The venue is just down the road on the Rugby side of Brandon Stadium. Brandon Club, Main Street, Brandon, Coventry, CV8 3HW.

  5. I’m sorry to say that due to unforeseen circumstances Scott has had to cancel his trip to the NSSC tonight. So the meeting is cancelled. Apologies to anyone who was hoping to come along. We will try again in the New Year.
  6. There have been many opportunities to date but if you haven’t bought Scott Nicholls’ book there is another chance if you join us at the Brandon Club next Tuesday, 10th December, starting at 8pm. Scott will be signing and selling his book ……. just in time for Christmas. We will also spend the evening chatting with Scott. Everyone is welcome with a charge of only £4 and all proceeds are for the GB Young Lions. Come and join us at the Brandon Club, Brandon, Coventry, CV8 3HW.
  7. It was good to see Olching feature so much. I’ve been there a few times as we are friends with Martin Smolinski. In fact a group of us stayed in Olching a few weeks ago when we visited the Munich Oktoberfest!
  8. I didn’t understand a word of it but thanks for sharing it on here. I really enjoyed it.
  9. The Speedway season at the NSSC never ends. We are delighted to say that Chris Morton will be our next guest at the Brandon Club on Tuesday 5th November. Tapes up at 8pm. There’s obviously plenty to discuss apart from his illustrious career including the mammoth cycle ride from Cardiff to Wrocław and the awarding of the SGP to the National Speedway Stadium. Everyone welcome. Only £4 entry with all proceeds for the GB Young Lions. Venue details; Brandon Club, Main Street, Brandon, Coventry, CV8 3HW. We will also have a stall at the Speedway Show which is being held at the British Motor Musem at Gaydon on the 2nd November. We have over 1500 Coventry programmes, many books from the 1930’s & 50’s to 80’s and a fine collection of original photos from the 1940’s & 50’s. All for sale with proceeds for the GB Young Lions.
  10. I am just getting stuff together for the Speedway Show which will be at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, on 2nd November 2024. We (the NSSC) have a copy of ‘My Two Lives’ by Erik Gundersen for sale. If anyone is interested in making an offer before the show please email nsscspeedway@gmail.com Please bear in mind that all profits from this sale will go to help Neil Vatcher and the GB Young Lions.
  11. It looks like Oxford have contacted those with tickets via WhatsApp and email but nothing yet on their X account or website. Good job the grapevine works better!
  12. Is this meeting on? There’s no mention of it on their X account and no preview on their website as far as I can see.
  13. Gary Guglielmi at Coventry. When he first arrived he couldn’t finish a second half novices race, he kept falling. It became a standing joke as to which lap and corner he would fall at. Although off track situations blighted his career he became a very good rider.
  14. The NSSC are hosting a special event on Tuesday 7th May at the Brandon Club. Starting at 8pm, Paul Ackroyd, David Norris and Gary Havelock will be discussing the work of the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund. Although at times it is a solemn but necessary subject there will be plenty of opportunity for David & Gary to entertain the audience with tales of past adventures. It promises to be a great event with all proceeds for the SRBF. Everyone welcome only £4 entry. All details here; https://www.nuneatonspeedwaysupportersclub.co.uk
  15. Our first Ice Speedway meeting. Amazing, fantastic, terrifying !!! Didn't expect so many close races. Heat 19 and the Final stood out from many others. Also, no practice starts and faffing about at the tapes. So refreshing. Brilliant and going to do it all again tomorrow!
