Janowski Or Doyle For 2017 World Champion,
Grachan replied to Col's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If he's averaging more per race it's because he wasn't getting into semi finals and finals so it's a misleading statistic as a last in a final is clearly better than not getting into the semis. Doyle and Janowski had obviously been better or they wouldn't have been above Tai in the standings. However, both have failed to stamp any real authority on the competition and will be nervously looking over their shoulders after Saturday. -
It depends how Swindon finish the season. They may have peaked a bit too soon and come short against Wolves or possibly Rye House. Would fancy Swindon against BV as previous results indicate that we go well round there. Swindon will miss Zach, both for his points and for team cohesion. It's difficult to call. I think probably a Swindon v Wolves final, with the Wolves track coming up trumps for the Midlands side.

Well, if Woffinden had an Australian flag on his race suit everyone would say he was an Aussie, so, using the same argument, Doyle must be English. Spends half his life in the UK. Wears an England flag. Jason Doyle. True Brit via Woffy's law.

Woffy taking a great win and proudly singingbthe national anthem. Doyle proudly displaying an England flag on his race suit and taking the lead in in championship. Great day for the Brits! With the top 3 all dropping points at various times, Woffinden could win this.

Is This Swindon Team The Best Of Recent Times?
Grachan replied to DC2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Is that when they had Karger and Petersen? Who else was in the side. -
Rye House Vs Poole 28/8/17 7.30pm.
Grachan replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why do Rye need to win by 7 if Poole need a draw? If Poole need a draw the surely Rye only need to win by one point. You lose nothing for winning by less than 7 at home. -
I thought that was David Niven.

I'm sure I recognise you from somewhere.

Dunno about the other Swindon fans, but to me they look like title winners with their new no 1/reserve. -

Come on Poole. Need to keep Rye House out of the top 4!! -
I thought of mentioning this a few times but decided it was off topic. I guess you were waiting for someone to go off-topic too so you could mention it! Hans' 12 point away average will, I suspect, never be repeated. It was quite a small league that year I remember, with half the season taken up by the League Cup. Even so, remarkable. Never seen another rider of Neilsen's standard in league racing. Not even Mauger.

Swindon Vs Kings Lynn 21 August 2017
Grachan replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Troy got some stick by some Swindon fans towards the end of the season because of a few things, but it wasn't anything to do with just a mass slagging of an entire nation. -

Rye House V Somerset 23/8/2017

If KK continues like this and Rye get into the play offs they could well be favourites for the title. I wonder how much criticism they will get for bringing in 'a ringer'. -

Can't think why. Anyone would think something had happened in their team to account for this sudden dislike of all things antipodean! -

So if this has been dropped, what was the point of bringing the strength of the leagues closer together? -

It's just the latest craze by the forum sheep. Aussie bashing. And King's Lynn fans deciding an entire country from down under is responsible for the Stars predicament. He IS crap at team riding, though. -

Grachan replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No big deal. Just comments in an interview. Yeah, maybe he has developed a bit of cockyness, but maybe that's how he got himself from being a long time second division rider to possibly the best rider in the World. I find it amazing how people feel it is ok to hurl insults left, right and centre on this forum but, as soon as a rider says anything, everyone becomes such sensitive souls. Lighten up. Good news for you all is that he'll probably be forced out of the league next year, just as they tried to do this year. Then you can all enjoy how much speedway is without the top stars and not understand why crowds have dropped again. True about team-riding though. He is Shiite at it. What would you prefer? Adverts? -

Don't see why everyone's got it in for Jason Doyle all of a sudden. Nature of this forum I guess. -
Are they? Swindon are top of the league this year and I'd say crowds are about the same as last year. Rye House reportedly have larger crowds. Could that be because of an increase in rider quality? Poole's crowds are reportedly down, as is team quality. Because stronger sides mean larger crowds. Ever since 39.95 crowds seem to have gone down with each weakening year.

In which case it would be the BSPA who insisted. Not Swindon. Ridiculous situation anyway - but at least they didn't go down the path of a double header against Somerset twice!

It will just be last week's with an insert. While not exactly enticing, at least it will stop people being fed up they paid for an old programme.
