Have you got a link to what Nick Morris said? I can't find anything from him.

Read Danny King's comments. Nobody, including Hans Andersen, complained about the track beforehand. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
-
From Leicester website: There was then a unanimous decision between riders of both sides and the referee to abandon the meeting. Skipper Danny King said: “We thought the biggest problem beforehand would be the visibility. The track didn’t seem too wet when we walked it, and I don’t think anyone complained about it. “Obviously underneath it was a lot wetter but from walking on it, it seemed dry enough to race on. But it was damper than we thought, and it caught the riders out because as soon as they got to peak speed and tried to turn, none of them could.

If Cook and Worrall had scored 6 each, Belle Vue would still have lost. With Cook on 2,2,1,1 and Worral on 3,2,1,0, Belle Vue would gain 1 point in heat5, 1 point in heat 11. I think they would have lost the TS too, as the score at heat 12 would have been 35-31, so go back 2 points. So Cook and Worrall getting 6 each makes it 49-41. It does depend on how they get those 6 points, of course, and they would possibly have scored more than 6 anyway, but, that's what I make it on a quick run through.

What can be embarrassing is the way these girls have their, ahem, "private parts" zoomed into - particularly by Easter European TV companies. If there is an issue, surely the issue should be this rather than actually having girls doing the job. I think people are pointing the finger in the wrong place by wanting the get rid of the girls.
-
Surely the issue here is with the cameramen and director, and the way the girls are portrayed, rather than with the girls themselves.
-
They used to have men wearing coloured sweat shirts to indicate the rider lanes. Why shouldn't women be allowed to do the same job as men? At Swindon there are 4 girls who indicate rider lanes, exclusions etc. They are supporters of the club. There is absolutely no sexual conotation to it. I see no reason at all why anyone should be against this. The Grand Prix may be a bit different, as there does seem to be sexuality involved, and the camera angles used by some countries' productions can be a bit embarassing. I can see why some people might be a bit unsure about the way they are used, although, personally, I thin it is pretty harmless.

Darcy actually tweeted about this horse a while back, and said it was named after him. Can't remember who the owner is, but Darcy said he asked him for permission.

Fair play to them for realising that the rule wss impractical.

Poole v Somerset & Somerset v Poole. Good Friday.
Grachan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why do teams do this? Nothing more annoying than paying for a programme and finding out you bought an old one with an insert. -
Yes, but that works both ways, surely. And I would think there is a lot of onus on the club to take responsibility for that. One would expect a professionally run club to have their house in order on this, particularly as they were all summoned to the Home Office a couple of years ago. Having said that, it does seem unclear if this is actually the reason anyway.
-
You have no choice. You need a sponsor.
-
It's the club at fault just as much as the rider. They would be his sponsor and they would know he needs a visa. They should have checked on this too.
-
It says here that if someone on a work permit loses their job thrn it is the respinsibility of the sponsor to notify the home office within 10 days. http://www.redwingimmigration.co.uk/tier-2-visa-curtailed/ Who was Holder's sponsor last year? Troy Bachelor lost his job at the same time but has no issues this year. Were both sponsored by King's Lynn or by previous employers? There could be a connection with that if it is a visa issue.
-
Interesting one. It's a very grey area as to whether Kildemand is a GP rider or not. I would say that this year's averages are based on last year, so, yes, he should probably be classed as a GP rider. Having said that, it seems reasonable to have him in for Chris Holder - and probably weakens Poole anyway. The should have just left the averages as they were, or put in a percentage upgrade based on last year's new averages.
-
Exclude them under the 2 minutes then, if it's expired.
-
They can do what they want in those 2 minutes, surely? Otherwise why have it? I don't see why it is ok for one rider to go and have a wee, sit around in the pits, then come out onto the track with seconds to spare, but it's not ok for a rider to come out in plenty of time and do a bit of pre-racing ritual before the two minutes expire.
-
You have 2 minutes. You have 2 minutes.

What is wrong with gardening? I don't get it.
-
Wasn't the idea that a race would continue if nobody touched the tapes as a way of keeping down the number of stoppages?
-
I just don't see what the purpose of this rule is. If riders are at the tapes and ready to race by the end of the 2 minutes, what is the issue?
