  1. Has to be. Unfortunate, but the only choice that works.
  2. That information probably came from Kelvin Tatum's speculation on Sky. To be honest, if Swindon get rid of Zengota then there was no point signing Ward. They'd be mugs to do that. It's the difference between making the signing worthwhile or not. Why get rid of him? The guy has been top scorer in our last 2 matches for God's sake.
  3. How come AM isn't riding? I thought he was back in the side. (Just kidding)
  4. Yes. That's it. Team sorted!! And his PL average is actually higher that Kyle's. (Does he fit?)
  5. True, but it means we can now have a facility for Miedzinski if he witholds his services. Otherwise we wouldn't have been able to apparently.
  6. We would have been on a 6 point PL guest, I think, because Kildemand's time was over.
  7. Of course it was. I don't think AM wanted to be there at all, but was persuaded to turn up for the sake of redeclaration and allowing us a facility.
  8. I suspect Kyle is more at risk due to the doubling up issue.
  9. I'm sure Miedzinski was just asked to turn up tonight to ensure we could redeclare. I remember him riding like this when he was at Oxford. It'll be a shame if we get rid of Howarth or Zengota, but that's the only way Ward will be there. Good from Charles Wright. Deserved his extra ride. It's really odd just how hard it seems to be to pass at Leicester!
  10. He rode at the start of the season. That's when he got injured.
  11. Yeah but you've got Garrity so you can do the averages game and get away with it.
  12. Unfortunately we're not really in a position to manipulate averages as we don't have the reserves to make up the shortfall. That's how teams like Coventry can drop points at heatleader like they did last night, but still win and at the same time get their averages down.
  13. If you think that riding badly and dropping points constitutes cheating then Wolves must be cheating in every match they ride in!
  14. They had 5 people in that race at one point.
  15. It's at 13:40 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGlxKlI59DE I would say that the guy doubling for the actor is Trevor Geer.
  16. In World championships I agree. I just remember one period when he was practically unbeatable week after week and the article was based on league form. Crumpie will never go down as an all time great because his World Championship form couldn't match his league form. Ward should surpass his (an Leigh Adams')achievements in time if he keeps his nose clean. I just don't think he's quite there yet.
  17. Move on? We had to sign Miedzinski this year because nobody was available. Look what's happened there. That's where these problems have come from in the first place. I'm all for seeing Ward, but let's not shut the club down in the process!!
  18. I can't believe people would consider dropping Bachelor to bring in someone on a short term loan. What happens next year, when PK decides not to come back again, Ward is at Poole and Troy has told us to get stuffed?
  19. I agree. Swindon aren't a major challenger for the title. Their main problem is the reserves just aren't scoring enough, and there's not a lot they can do about that..
  20. It was 1975 when Crump could and should have been World Champion had he held back on the 4 valve and unveiled it in the World Championships. I think he scored 10 points and came 5th that year, but others had cottoned on to the 4 valves by the time they got to the final. He came 3rd in 1976, when everyone was on them, but 1975 was the year he should have used his 4 valve advantage. Had Crump unveiled that bike in the 1975 or 1976 final nobody would have got near him. Articles say that one reason Peter Collins won in 1976 was that his bike was so much faster than the rest of the field. Phil Crump - certainly in 1975/1976 - was at a level that Darcy has yet to reach, and even in 1982 I remember an article in Speedway Star saying that he was probably the best rider in the World. People tend to forget just how good he was due to Jason being even better plus his later World Championship disappointments.
  21. Based on what? The fact that Phil Crump never rode for Poole? Ward has the potential to be better than Phil Crump, but he hasn't reached that level just yet. Crump did get to be World no 3. Darcy could become world number one, but he isn't there yet.
  22. I wouldn't go that far but it was a good close match. What is this 'my league's better than your league' nonsense we always get from supporters of lower league sides?
