Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
Grachan replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
There's plenty of rules that had an effect on the final score. For example, if the ref had brought all 4 back instead of excluding Cook then Belle Vue might have won. -

A draw thanks to the exclusion of riders who fall off rule. -

I don't see why Newman's points should be removed from that race. It's not as if he gained an advantage. Goggles being worn would be a safety issue and the ref should not have let the race go, but once he did I don't see it as an issue really. Newman lucky though, because if the ref had insisted he put his goggles on he probably would have been excluded on 2 minutes. -

Stockholm Gp September 26
Grachan replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
As I said earlier, take a look at Greg Hancock in the previous round. The thing is, these guys have just finished the final and, for the winner in particular, the adrenaline must still be pumping. They go straight from the track and onto the rostrum. Let them celebrate it. -

Greg Hancock was the same at the last GP - laughing, chatting and drinking from the Monster bottle during the USA anthem. I find it more surprising to see an American doing it as they're normally pretty big on the patriotism stuff. I didn't notice it with Tai, but wouldn't be surprised if it is true. -
Play Offs Should They Be Scrapped.?

If you had a Wembley world final now you'd get about 40,000 there too. The lower crowds aren't down to the GP system. They are down to a general decline in speedway's popularity. -
Rosco seems confident enough as he is already talking about next years team. It wouldbe nice to know if GI have submitted the drainage info yet, as that appears to be what is holding things up.
-
If you read the email from Justin Tomlinson, the council are waiting for a submission from GI, with building to take 8 months from that submission. That already takes us to June from after the final meeting.
-
It would just be another open meeting. Would mean nothing.
-
Because we, the fans, want to know.

I refer the honourable gentleman to the answer I gave some moments ago. It doesn't matter how often Emil can race against and beat top riders in league and open meetings. To be the best rider in the World he has to win the World title.
-
So did Leigh Adams.
-
It's a relevant point. I'm surprised you can't see that.
-
Are you serious? In all sport, for one team to gain an advantage the other side must lose out. Are you one of these people who supports non competitive sport at schools because the losers get upset? If your team needed a 5-1 in heat 15 to become league champions, but were in second and third place in the race, would you really not cheer if the opposing rider who was in the lead packed up on the final bend?
-
No, he doesn't need to prove it. It seems you are a fan of his, does it really not frustrate you that he won't try to prove himself in World terms?
-
Leigh Adams is one of the best riders I've ever seen. Never won the World Championships, so he'll never go down as an all time great. Same with Emil. If he's good enough to be World champion then he needs to prove it. If Leigh Adams had never entered the World Championships people would probably have said the people like Rickardsson and Crump's achievements were undermined by that because Leigh would probably have won many titles. The reality is that he never. Who's to say it's not the same with Emil?

The atmosphere at Poole sounded really good last night. It' not often you can really hear the crowd cheering at Speedway, but it was there for all to see. Must have really wound up supporters of other teams, who prefer deck chairs and a cup of tea. Of course the crowd will cheer when someone on a double point ride looks like he's about to take the lead and then loses it. It's sport. Crowds don't cheer nastly looking crashes. Crowds cheer their team getting an advantage though. Sorry, but if you are down about something then a good friend might well take you out to try and take your mind off things. I don't know the facts about Dakota North's family problems, but I don't see what someone taking him out for a round of golf has to do with it.

I think the world in which Emil inhabits has somehow convinced him that the SEC means something and is as relevant as the GP. Regardless of which of them can ride a bike better, as things stand history will show that Tai Woffinden was a great rider and Emil Sayfutdiniv achieved nothing in World terms. If he says the GP is too much for him then he can never be seen as someone who might have won it.

Orion confirms Miedzinski not riding while fit. We all know that. Mr Beanie even appeared riding on Eurosport. What the issue was, was if Swindon used a guest for him while he was riding overseas and not having withdrawn his services. That's a different issue. If so, I dont see why a guest should be allowed, but he could have been deemed to have witheld his services if riding abroad, in which case a facility would be available.
-
If Miedzinski was still in the Swindon side and riding overseas, then Swindon should not have had a guest for him. I'm not sure if they did anyway, as they signed Kildemand as cover. And Miedzinski could have been given a 28 day ban if deemed to be witholding his services, which would also have allowed a facility. But there may have been matches when Miedzinski was riding overseas and was till in the Swindon side, and if so then I don't see why Swindon should have had a guest. But I don't know if that was the case, so if you know better perhaps you could point out which matches it applies to.
