Career defining season that just happens to be the one after your testimonial. Fooling no one Fred.

Wrong way round TNT. They are lucky to have the fans.

Got to say my first reaction to these 2 posts was something extremely rude! However having reflected they do have some merit, just not in the way the HF & BCD intended Can't be doing with 'what if, could have, should haves' backward looking folks. 'We have been trying really hard for you fans, we keep firing the bullets don't we?'. Yeah, and keep missing the target. CVS & Adams really need to get their heads round ways of working in the modern world. They got some awful stick on here, which we now find out was unmerited, over Michelsen. Why oh why didn't they get the info about the flight thing into the public domain at the time and saved themselves the grief? They really are their own worst enemies sometimes.

Would there be an 'absence' average reduction on that?

Birmingham V Poole Grand Final 2nd Leg
Wolfsbane replied to pirateandi's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You mention double standards Steve, that's interesting. Now I'm going to have to depend on others to flesh out the details. However wasn't there an incident some years back with Savalas Clouting's Mom when he rode for Ipswich. If I recall when Ippo visited Poole shortly afterwards and Clouting came out for his first ride your PA man played 'Tie your mother down'. The majority on here, including myself, thought it was clever, and very funny. Now the joke's at Poole's expense, the laughter's died. Strange that. -

I thought the smoking ban was a stupid rule and had a major issue with it. I did, however, abide by it. That's the difference. -

A condition of entry to any establishment is you agree to abide by it's rules. I would have thought that any member of this forum, being that committed to the sport, would know Brum have a air horn ban. I've never been tp Perry Barr but was aware of it. Now assuming that the club shop there doesn't sell them, they must have been bought into the track from outside. Who was checking? Not beyond the wit of the Brum promotion to anticipate it at such a high profile match surely? As for Poole fans ignoring requests to stop, dishing out abuse, idiots. No one's covered themselves in glory on either side. -

I'm not a doctor but I can help with the diagnosis on this one. Danny was suffering from an attack of Bjerre Syndrome. -

10 out of 10 to whoever is in charge of the music choice at Perry Barr. As Poole raised the trophy out blasts Money, Money, Money. -

If you put to one side all the dirty laundry surrounding Poole you've got to admit they've been superb tonight. -

It's a pity the team didn't show as much fight as you two, we'd be on the box tonight! -

Brummies would have been better off with Meg Richardson & Jim Baines at 6 & 7. -

Complete the following: Ole Olsen 1971, 1975, Sam Ermolenko 1993, *** ********* ****. Good luck fella, bring it home. -
That old chestnut finished off my regular visits to Monmore amongst other things eg Treatment of Wolfcry. If they couldn't be ar$ed, then neither could I. Although I do concede that Johnno for Sam was madness it does serve to illustrate my earlier point to Steve rather well, thanks for that
-
You surprise me on this one Steve Remember back to the dark days when Johnno kept getting a team place despite riding something a tad slower than my lawnmower? The gaps on the terraces began to get more and more noticeable, folks staying away, aka voting with their feet, making it unsustainable. CVS to give him his due didn't scarper but went out and signed Tai. That's why I believe voting with your feet works. Risky business though, I do agree.
-
It's a catch 22. Moan and your promoter could threaten closure. Keep quiet and they'll serve up any old tripe safe in the knowledge they have the nuclear option of a closure threat. The only way for fans to exert any real influence is to vote with their feet. That in itself can be a risky tactic but It worked a while back at Wolves and to be fair to CVS I can't ever recall him using the 'c' word.

I can't get further than the Michelsen thing BW. God willing we'll have the world champ next season, manna from heaven for Dumb & Dumber. Providing Ty has recovered, he's a nailed on, Jacob also. Sqora has done ok although, without crunching the numbers, he's dropped around 0.6? Wells is PL at best, gives away more points than Tesco. Why did we buy him? Ludde, to give him his due, was as much responsible for us topping the table as anyone but faded badly when push comes to shove. Fred is just not the rider we knew, he rides safe, and who can blame him. As I said where we go now, God knows. I'm now certain though that CVS & Adams aren't the future.
-
The injuries have killed us, no question. Others always seem to handle them better though As for Adams, you've said it all.
-
After that, God knows

As much as we rail against Fat Maud when the time comes he makes decisions, pushes the rules to the edge of the envelope and, when the moment presents itself, gets the chequebook out. They are in the final, Wolves aren't. We plod along, looking no further than the end of our own asset base, doing it on the cheap, dithering and living on past glories. In the final analysis it would probably have made no difference but missing out on Michelsen said more about CVS & Adams's attitude to their paying customers than on track results ever could. Yesterday's men.
