Posf1 - Belle Vue Aces Vs Swindon Robins, 14 Sep 2015
Wolfsbane replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So yet again Sky with their infernal advert breaks decide the result of a meeting. I assume the score after 14 heats of the 2nd leg will decide who makes the final. -
The reference to the 3 year deal was a tongue in cheek comment on arrangements having already been made for a move to a Wednesday race night. It would appear we're going to have to swallow it if we need riders who don't want Poland -->UK-->Sweden on 3 consecutive days. Staying on Monday will stop us dipping into this rider pool guaranteeing more of the same. When BV move to the new stadium and change their race night we're going to stick out like a sore thumb.

Hopefully part one of the plan was dealt with when the new 3 year deal with Ladbrokes was signed What has been noticeable is that recently in most previews/match reports on the OS PK has been pushed front and centre in the quote department, no sign of the 2 architects of the 2015 debacle. Call me cynical but it feels that CVS & Adams are hiding behind PK as they know, due to his much loved status at Wolves, that this will deflect the well deserved criticism that has been aimed at them.

I hope one of them wasn't Adams -
Adams & CVS come as a job lot it would appear, which is unfortunate.

There's the conundrum. Keep splashing your cash and CVS is happy to roll out teams like this year's on the cheap with no real thought past his asset base and asking riders to ride in positions for which they are obviously not qualified. Stop going, starve him of resources and it won't be long before he threatens to throw the towel in. It's then a case of who blinks first. The winter talk in will be interesting.

Another missed opportunity then.

It's worked for us tonight and rules is rules until they're changed but I can't be doing with the TR double points skewing the efforts of the other 14 heats. That being said we'll take the win. Any port in a storm. -
Well that new plan from Adams worked well. Moved Freddie from terrible to mediocre but at the cost of PK going from mediocre to terrible. As BW said Adams has no interest and by association, IMO neither has CVS. It's bloody disgusting what has happened to the Club, it really is.

At least one league would solve the issue with riders being missing on PL duty and who's got preference over who for their services. -

CVS & Adams have never got to grips, and are showing no intent/wish to do so, of realising the things that worked for them in the past don't cut it anymore. They're stuck in a time warp. The spin and waffle is easily seen through. For example the 'bumper crowd' thing that they insist on using, which in the 60s might have had folks saying 'I'm off to the Green early this week love, looks like a big crowd' and setting off 15 minutes early just gives folks the opportunity to extract the urine. As for calling Adams a numpty, I think you're being quite kind to the useless old plank. -

Whatever CVS & Lindgren were talking about in the pits at Blunsdon after the meeting doesn't appear to have worked. -
