  1. Glad to see they've trawled Europe for Heeps's replacement. Now remind me again, who is co-promoter at Redcar? At least we can book the holidays for mid-september & october and be safe in the knowledge we won't miss anything.
  2. After last night we might as well see if Bacon wants the gig once Nathan has recovered, at least he was putting in some effort. As others have said the horse has bolted, the 'we're waiting to see how the removal of the Rye House scores affects the averages' comment was a load of gollox to keep the easily pleased happy. As much as we laugh at Ford for chopping, changing and showing bugger all loyalty, at least he's trying to do more than win home matches & scrape into the playoffs. After doing a great job the last couple of years CVS has resorted to type, 'do sod all, the season will soon be over'.
  3. I imagine Tom Bacon was a bit worried being next to him in the pits
  4. If Heeps turns out for Wolves again it'll be confirmation that CVS and Adams have thrown in the towel.
  5. I don't know whether there's anything in it but for the umpteenth time Masters on the OS puts our inability to handle the NSS when it slicks off down to Belle Vue's 'little fellas'. Is he right or just a whingeing Aussie?
  6. Yet again not difficult to spot where our problem lies. Action to address it there was none.
  7. Oh, I don't know, I think 38 for Wolves is pretty generous. We get away day blues as soon as we're past Bilston
  8. The rumours were half true. Woffinden joins Indianerna in Sweden
  9. I think it's safe to assume that they've decided on option D : Do nothing. http://www.wolverhamptonwolves.co/news.php?extend.2984
  10. I guess you do what the majority want, at least that way you give yourself a fighting chance.
  11. The current plight of British speedway reminds me so much of the situation of traditional High Street shops. They had it good for decades, opening when they wanted, and charging what they wanted, totally ignoring the challenges creeping up behind them. When they finally realised that they were in trouble, the opportunity to put in the fix had passed There's no rescuing the High Street now, there might, just might, be one last chance to rescue speedway if radical action is taken now, before the shutters come down permanently
  12. Which is precisely why the unthinkable is going to happen in the not too distant future to John Lewis/Waitrose. After their latest poor set of results they announced 'From now on our colleagues will be at the centre of everything we do'. The customer can go swivel as long as we are happy. Remind you of any other organisations?
  13. Don't upset our Humpy on this thread as well
  14. Well done. Principality Stadium indeed. Once the Millenium, always the Millenium
  15. Almost there Steve Yet another one slips through the net. Glad to see Adams has sorted the dashing off into a lead then giving it away though
  16. Only problem is it's 10-15 years too late. Once the dumbing down had started, it was like a runaway train. At a talk in with CVS & Adams many years ago they asked exactly that question, should we get rid of the points limit? My mate was the only one in a room of 150-200 to put his hand up. Needless to say he's long since finished with speedway.
  17. Firstly, congratulations to the Aces. Secondly, which idiot said the following : 'They got a big score at their place but there's no reason we can't do the same'. Peter, ever heard this one. 'Rather keep one's mouth shut and be thought a fool than open it and remove all doubt'.
  18. If it wasn't for Woffinden we wouldn't have been within a Rossiter team talk of the final, stop bellyaching for Christ's sake. And by the way, I detest the guy.
  19. Used to drive me insane. Recorded it to watch when I got home, froze me nuts off standing on the terraces keeping out of the bar and then walking out they announce 'Wolves lost 2-0'
