  1. "Okay I get your drift but working on YOUR timings above...Dogs finish at 4 pm, airfence takes one hour to put up, so that's 5 pm, inspection takes 'ONE AND A HALF HOURS' as you put it, so that's 6.30pm.....still ONE HOUR at least before the start time...............................................problem?" Vacancy "Man for local authority position, must work flexi time, be at BSPA beck and call, needs big cheeks and lots of puff. Billy Smart's will provide all the training. Unique opportunity to work for nothing and get boat loads of aggravation"
  2. Borrow one! Like you would borrow someone else's crash helmet? Ippo, Arena and Belle Vue stitched together should provide enough panels leant up against the existing fence a la EL Pairs at KL
  3. 9.2.2 Must have a safety fence, approved by the SCB, around the outer edge of the course, of a design and construction suitable for the protection of Competitors, Officials and Spectators. 9.2.3 The Safety Fence must be kept in good condition and regularly maintained. 9.2.4 An Approved Inflatable Fence (mandatory in the Elite League) may be placed on or against any type of fence and must be inflated at least 30 minutes before the start of the Meeting. 9.2.6 Advertising is permitted on fences only if these are painted thereon or are affixed throughout Sheffield is not in the Elite League! Sheffield v Wolverhampton Edinburgh v Wolverhampton Birmingham v Wolverhampton Kings Lynn v Peterborough Not even a balloon in sight
  4. Sue was born and bred in Scunthorpe, I'll pass on the apology Mr Shovlar - when you post it!
  5. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if an Elite League club had talked to Andre he may have been riding in the EL but do bear in mind that his previous sojourn into that league got him dumped and replaced by Johnny Foreigner. You assume far too much.
  6. Folowing the injuries to Havelock and Tressariu Redcar's averages by the cut off date were 25.79. Sheffields remained at 28.85. The original rules published on JC's Super 7even website gave the cut off date as April 13th and named Sheffield as the reserve team in the event that one of the qualifying teams became weakened through injury. Redcar's qualifying average was way in excess of 30 points. Clubs did not have an equal opportunity to qualify for this event, there was disparity between the number of meetings ridden and disparity between team groupings (which put Worky and Kings Lynn in the Midlands). If this was to be a commercial event then why not seed all 8 teams or to make a long day of it have a race off for a "best of the rest" qualification place(s)
  7. Sheffield website reports a back injury
