The fact that refs in the uk don't stick to the rules of the sport shouldn't mean that refs at FIM meetings should turn a blind eye too.

Why do people keep bringing up Wildcards and merit in the same post? If you haven't got it yet the wildcards are chosen for TV. no Brits = less intrest in British media (yes even less than now) and less chance of sky getting non speedway or now and again fan to watch. GP's are sustainable because of TV money therefore you need riders from the countries who pay the rates.

I cannot ever be accused of being Nicki P's biggest fan but come on its not his fault if the ref has bet his house on Nicki winning the GP.

Or just leave the winner of the GP series. The World Champion, as the most important rider the world focuses on rather than the bloke who wins a one off race with more money. Or maybey they will let the Superprix rider with the least points in the world championship play a joker for the race and score double points from starting 15 meters in front of the rest of the field.

If things go the way Messers Olsen and Posslewatsit seem to want them, then a young rider will get in at 18 if he can bring enough sponsorship money to the series, the same as all the other minor motor sport world championships.

Well at least we know that to get the gate money BSI, IMG, MFI or what ever they will be called next year will probably hold the world cup every other year in Poland, So from now on One year the Poles will be world champions the next they will be lucky to scrape through to the final. Good luck to all four teams tonight, but heres hoping Team GB get most of it. Hope for an injury free evening and I hope people will join me in contacting the FIM to either praise or condem the track if it deserves it. We can whinge about it (or praise it) but nothing will be done about track prep at GP's and the SWC unless the FIM get their ears bent. Not any concern of Ole Olsen but with many none regular fans watching Sky tonight a track like Vojens could spell disaster for speedway here.

As a big Matej fan I have to agree. Yelled at the telly when it happened but was calm enough to look at the replay with an open mind.
