  1. It wouldn't be a Scunthorpe thread without Ryan Kinsley getting a mention. He proved last year with Redcar he's not good enough for Championship level move on for God sake.
  2. GB: Woffy, Lambert, Brennan Poland: Zmarzlik, Janowski, Miskowiak Sweden: Aspgren, Thorssell, Helllstrom-Bangs Denmark: Madsen, Michelsen, Mads Hansen Aus: Doyle, Fricke, Rew Latvia: Lebadevs, Mihailovs, Gusts France: Bellego, Berge, Goret
  3. He's healing as well as can be expected. He's been advised to continue resting his collarbone as it takes 6 weeks to heal properly and another knock to it could mean hum having a permanent issue with it.
  4. Why does Kinsley always get mentioned it's clear even before his stuff got nicked his performances for Redcar he's not good enough for middle tier racing he's a NDL rider at best
  5. Teams in riding order 1. Ellis 2. Lambert 3. Palin 4. Andersen 5. R/R 6. MacDonald 7. Mountain 1. Morris 2. Howarth 3. Douglas 4. R/R 5. Andersen 6. J Thompson 7. Kennedy
  6. So Scunthorpe will be taking on the only team they haven't defeated this season in the playoffs.
  7. Dave Peet finally been replaced as the worst Team Manager in the Country.
  8. He'll be lucky there's only about 10 seats in the whole place. Take you're own if you want to sit at Scunny
  9. I'm Surprised Leicester have agreed to go next Friday (i guess it's because the cut-off is coming) The Thompson twins will no doubt be at Scunthorpe for the British Under 19s Championship
  10. As the Updater for tonights meeting. The Updates always say TEAMS TO BE CONFIRMED at the bottom until nearer the start time and things are confirmed by the texter
  11. https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/19372/redcar-championship-08-09-2019 Andersen's last appearance at Scunny
  12. Busk Jakobsen isn't riding at the moment. Think Pearson said on Eurosport at BV the other night he had a few personal issues.
  13. It's been confirmed as what Dickie head said Ellis R/R Pijper Andersen Jorgensen Macdonald Lambert Vs Schlein Basso Worrall Cook King Gilkes Hume Scunthorpe should clean up at reserve but top 5 is the opposite. Scorpions 3 and 4 partnership are very weak imo.
  14. Who else is missing apart from Nielsen? Incidentally the only championship riders who could fit and teams aren't riding on Friday, The 3 I came up with were Morley, Gilkes and Bickley however Bickley is riding for Edinburgh now instead of Kemp whose on international duty
  15. Riding his 1st season at 2nd tier and seeing a lot of tracks for the first time and only 17 years old? What's Pijper and Aarnios's etc excuse they've been round years
  16. A few things that are a must for Scunthorpe in 2022 A) Sign riders that can actually ride away tracks none of this Pijper, Aarnio rubbish. Make Ryan Douglas an offer he can't refuse I believe he's still a Scunthorpe asset. Build the team with Douglas, Jorgensen and Palin then go from there C) Change team manager. Not had a decent one since Richard Hollingsworth. Peet was hopeless at Hull as a TM, He was hopeless at Berwick and 3rd time lucky at Scunthorpe really hasn't worked. I know Godfrey likes to do things on the cheap but it's 10 years since the league title at Scunny next season and even though there's people that don't see eye to eye with me and probably never will most Scunthorpe fans are loyal and deserve a team that's going to battle for a league title something they haven't had since 2012.
  17. Poole didn't use Wright as a 3.75 rider. they used him when Ben Cook was injured.
  18. A 12 point home defeat is a hammering. The same as a football match if it's 0-0 after 80 mins only for the away team to score 3 or4 goals in the last 10 minutes. It's a hammering. It's what's in the history books. Ps Inspiring Guest choice again or should I say cheapest
  19. Kasper Andersen is in for Aarnio Scorpions otherwise unchanged from the hammering at home to Leicester
  20. If Scunthorpe are still unbeaten at home after tonight they'll have done very well indeed
  21. Jordan is not riding for Peterborough at Ipswich they have Leon Flint.
