Poole V Coventry Select. 19/4/17 7.30pm
full-throttle replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
lol, you have to laugh the idea of these 'select' meetings is twofold, to keep the Bees name on track and to help the contracted riders earn a few extra £ which they may have done had the Bees continued. Steve, if you would like to organise a bucket collection, please do, I'm sure the receipients would be grateful -
Wolverhampton V Coventry 10th April (challenge)
full-throttle replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Plenty of visiting fans, and fair play to the many Wolves fans I saw in the full price queue, so thank you to them, To me there was something missing, I haven't been attending speedway for a few years, but it didn't seem the same especially for a local derby, challenge match or otherwise. I can't work out what is wrong with Clegg, I seem to recall he was hitting big numbers for Cradley last year and picking up a few for Wolves, he just seemed well of the pace tonight -

Peterborough was better for bees fans because they won, For me the difference between Bees and Panthers was like night and day, although it gave both teams and supporters of each club an early season appetiser. I'll be at Leicester in May but that will most probably be my season over, and to be honest I haven't seen anything that wold tempt me back full time. -

I maybe me but, No atmosphere, no excitement and not much to write about. Neilsen apart, I didn't think the Bees riders did a lot. Clegg and Geaves were AWFUL -

would be great if the wolves fans chose to enter at the regular price, more £ for the fund. Big to CVS for his generous offer -
Wolves V Leicester 3 . 4 . 2017

watching the updates and a few falls cost the Lions big time tonight, it could be a long season for Wolves at this rate. -
Rye House V Wolverhampton Sat 1st April
full-throttle replied to Dave Stummings's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I spoke to a few old faces that hadn't been to Rye for a while and also a newbie, although he had watched on the TV, last night was his first 'live' meeting, and judging by his comments he will be back. I just wish Coventry had a BMR to throw money at Brandon and get us on track -
also heard tonight Wolves are to host a Coventry team twice this season, both dates as in the original fixture list, If this happens then big kudos to CVS

Rye House V Wolverhampton Sat 1st April
full-throttle replied to Dave Stummings's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Rye must win something this year. If it's not on track then they should get an award for thee friendliest staff. Good turn out tonight, maybe 3k. Apparently 1000 pieces of fish were ordered, and sold out, also sold out of programmes. A member of the BMR team was at the gate on the way out and he spent time chatting to fans and thanking them. Work to be done on the buildings but it looks promising. Big thanks to TNT for the lift -
hoping for some decent racing, not too bothered about the result,

full-throttle replied to bruno's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Having just watched the SEC Pairs, Zmarzlik, Doyle, Hancock and Piotr Pawlicki look to have hit the ground running. Should make for a great year when you add in Pedersen, Woffinden and Sayfutdinov -

Peterborough V Coventry Challenge 19th Match 12pm

fair play to the Peterboro promotion, at 1150 Ged Radbourne walked along the queue and told the masses the start would be delayed. More turnstiles were opened and the queue soon went. Although I do agree with SCB, why wasn't the interviews and introductions done at 12 so the racing could start at 1230. racing actually started at 1pm and I was back on the road by 230, so run at a decent pace despite constant watering. One complaint....Why was Peter York wearing Red and White? -

I though Cllr Stokes had said that BE had agreed to financially support the Speedway Club in exchange for being placed on the 5 year plan, although no guarantee after being placed on said plan
