  1. Always hard to predict a match where RR is in use as you're having to guess just which heat each rider will be used, but here my take. Whilst the Stars will run out comfortable winners in the end I think the first half of the meeting could be close, so taking a punt on Peterboro +4 after heat 8 at 11/10 The only known use of RR will be that of Scotty in heat 13 and I doubt he will trouble the scorers too much in that heat when up against NKI and Lawson, hence backing Scott to get less than 8 at 6/4. Fancy Lawson to continue is good start to the season and get over 11 at 6/5, NKI should also be able to get over 9 and also backing that at 11/10. Also a slight fancy for Lawson to outscore Bomber with a 2 pt start, even though Bomber could be having 6 rides at 8/11....admittedly he could end up with 7 if the Panthers are poor, but if they are that poor then Bomber is also not scoring high in the first place, in my opinion. Also a play on Palin to outscore Thomas with a point start at 6/5, If the meeting is close always a chance Worrall will replace Thomas at some stage in the meeting
  2. For the Wolves Belle Vue meeting its all about Becker v Wright for me and i think Becker will come out on top in that battle hence taking Becker over 8, Wright under 7 and also Becker -1 over Wright
  3. After a disastrous morning, will try my luck with these. Kings Lynn definitely +6 and a small play on Kings Lynn actually winning the meeting, 5/2 just for the win is way too generous in my opinion. Iversen over 8 and also Iversen +3 over Bomber. Bomber will probably be getting 10/11 points but as I cant see how Iversen doesnt also get double figures this has to be a bet. Lawson over 7, again with the potential for at least 5 rides fail to see how he doesnt hit double figures. Also Nicholls under 8. Apart from Heat 8 I fail to see where he is winning a race
  4. Was surprised to see Belle Vue listed up as -2....I know Allen and Etheridge are not scoring many but still expect Belle Vue to overcome Wolves. Fricke, Kurtz, Wright, Brennan will all score heavily and I think Belle Vue will win by 8 points Also backing Wright to score over 8 and Kurtz to score over 10 As Masters is riding with Worrall, he may be out to show Belle Vue what they missing im backing Masters to score less than 9 and also Fricke at -2 over Masters
  5. Sheffield should beat the Aces by 10 points this evening, so the -8 on the handicap looks a good bet to me, also I think that Sheffield will start the meeting much stronger and only when the meeting is effectively won and Belle Vue use their tactical ride will they bring the score back so Sheffield at -4 after 8 heats is also a bet. Impressed with what I saw in the Todd Kurtz Testimonial from Musielak and expect him to score over 10 and be Sheffield's top scorer this evening. Expect Max to have to the full 6 allotted rides this evening and therefore should easily score over 10 also. The Owlerton circuit could well be to Bloedorns liking but still expect Nielsen to outscore him comfortably and will take the -1 handicap on offer As for Ipswich I expect them to run out 4 point winners tonight 47-43, therefore am backing Peterboro at +6. Palm Toft appears to have started the season in reasonable form and fully expect to get over 5 from his rides. Havent seen Hans hitting anything decent so far and machinery issues plaguing his start to the season , therefore expect Riss to outscore him even with a -2 handicap.
  6. Yes, they have actually said all speedway GP's will be live on Eurosport 2. Discovery + are covering the GP's advert free.
  7. The Wolves Sheffield meeting will again be a close affair and most likely a last heat decider as per last Monday, will be taking the +2 on Sheffield and a small bet on the meting finishing in a draw. Fully expect Jack to score over 9 and also will back him to outscore Sam Masters especially with a point start, the main reason I feel is that Luke Becker will take points off Masters and as a result of that will also back Becker to outscore Cookie. Also fancy Adam Ellis to get over 8 given that he should also have 5 rides. I think the Peterborough Ipswich meeting will be closer than many think, although this will rely on Doyle and King scoring heavily, but have taken the +8 on Ipswich and have backed King to score over 8, the potential for him having 6 rides means he should be hitting double figures. Also backing King to outscore Harris, again purely based on the fact he should have more rides. Have backed Ostergaard at -3 to outscore Heeps, I know Ostergaard could be losing points to Andersen at times but dont ever see Heeps finishing in Front of Doyle or any of the Peterborough heat leaders. Am assuming we may still see the 2021 version of Batch and therefore am taking him to score less than 7, also backing Scott to score under 9, again due to the fact Palm Toft will take some points off him Sheffield +2, Holder >9, Holder +1 > Masters, Ellis >8, Becker > Cook, Wolves/Sheffield Draw Ipswich+8, King >8, Batchelor <7, Nicholls <9, Ostergaard -3 > Heeps, King > Harris
  8. A close meting predicted tonight at the NSS, although Sheffield somewhat weakened by thee abidance of Cook and Musielak, although this has thrown up some reasonable angles especially for the points totals of Howarth and Ellis, backing both of them to score over 9 given that both will have at least 5 rides and one of them potentially 6 outings. Also backing Holder to get over 11 and Mountain -3 over Bloedern, who barring falls and EF I dont think will trouble the scorers As I say a close meeting predicted hence a little bet on the match draw at 14/1 and also a bet on Sheffield at +4
  9. I would say all this chat about Holder's imminent arrival are a little off the mark. Whilst this weekend should most likely be Chris' last action for Torun this year, if they lose and other results go against them then Torun could still find themselves in the relegation play offs, unless rules over there have changed this year, and therefore would not be released from his duties in Poland for a few more weeks
  10. Also taking Ellis at 7/1, just in the hope Bewley somehow messes up the final heat Ellis over King and Harris over Wright Ellis over 10, Wright under 8, Nicholls under 7, Barker under 5 and Starke under 5
  11. Sheffield -2 tonight at home to Wolves???? Fill your boots I say on that, Sheffield should be running out a 10 point victory tonight Holder -3 over Masters, Masters Under 9 look other very enticing bets to me
  12. Gone with Belle Vue -2 on the handicap tonight, think they will cover it, I have them wining 48-42 Also backing Bewley to outscore Hans, so taking him with the -1 start, also backing Bomber to get over 10, will get his 6 rides and if things dont go well he could even get a 7th outing Having Lawson over 10, pretty much nailed on to get 6 rides as the rest of the stars will struggle to get 5 points each in my opinion, so also backing Jorgensen under 6. With Lawson getting 6 rides...in my opinion, also backing him in the handicap with a +2 start over Masters At Ipswich taking Cook at -1 over Holder Just backing Belle Vue, Ipswich and Wolves to win the meetings tonight does pay a healthy 2/1
  13. Also kicking myself that the price tonight on Tai has suddenly come in, was 33/1 this morning, now at 20/1....do i think he will win, probably no but a 3 times world champ on his own track that is just to big to refuse, also makes a tidy profit if he gets in the first 3 anyway. Also backed Tai to score over 8 points Think Chuganov will have a better night tonight and have taken him to outscore Zagar and score over 5 Thomsen over 6 ad Fricke under 6 are 2 more bets I like along with Tai to win heat one off the inside. Was noticeable last year on the 2nd GP in Wroclaw the inside gates massively outweighed the outside, with 16 heats being won from Red and Blue, after an even split of gates on the first night. Last night the gates were pretty evenly split also
  14. With the current top 8 in the standings looking untouchable yet again for this round I don't see any real value or mistakes in the market the bookies have set so far, although you could argue there is some value in Woffinden at 11/1 to take the top spot on his home track. Also with 4 "home" riders in this round and a couple of ex Wroclaw riders in the field Ill be banking on certain riders to have complete shockers at nice odds KK Under 3 @ 11/4 Berntzon Under 2 @ 7/5 Zagar Under 4 @ 12/5 Chuganov Over 6 @ 10/11 Lindgren Over 9 @ 6/5 Will also have a bet on Lambert to pop out and win heat 2, white was a very favourable gate for the first round of the Wroclaw GP weekend last year
  15. After last nights performance im not exactly sure this is only about lowering his average. Its ok trying to manipulate your average in order to get a team slot elsewhere, and maybe the management where onboard with this plan originally, especially as he was so open about it. But here comes a time when you need to put a performance in not only for the team but also to put yourself in the shop window. Troy has recently talked about looking abroad as there are no offers coming in from the championship, but which Swedish or Polish side are going to make a chance on him now. He was easily outmuscled in a couple of races over the first 30 yards and never looked like passing anyone in a race after that. This talk of not riding enough doesnt sit well either, Reg Wilson and Doug Wyer only ever rode in one league once a week but still turned up every week to bang in a maximum. Tai Woffinden only rides once a week now but still does the business every time he turns out, in a much tougher league. I think his time at Sheffield is up, or so it should be. I am unsure as to exactly when Sheffield's averages are officially changed again, so unsure of what is possible with regards team changes, but in my opinion Jack and Adam will be our main heat leaders, Tungate needs to come in for Troy and just maybe that would also allow Sedgman to return at reserve in place of Wright. As for the other reserve position there is little can be done there as all 4 point rising stars are employed elsewhere and the rest are no better or worse than Kyle Bickley anyway. Theres no point even waiting for Josh Bates, yes one meeting he could score 5 but he is as easily going to end up in the fence on turn 1 of heat 2 and score bugger all again, so also time to ditch him for good. Other option would be to ask Belle Vue if they want to swap Kurtz for Batchelor
  16. Not sure what Bet 365 are seeing about the KL v Belle Due match but I dont see a 12 point away win so taking KL on the handicap at +12 Brady -2 over TJ Think Sheffield at 19/20 to just win the meeting is very good value, think the meeting will be close and will probably require another last heat 5-1 to seal the victory but I think we will see a very different Troy Batchelor in front of the cameras, at some stage he is going to have to stop throwing his average and showcase his skills either for the Championship or Sweden, plus not a lot of meetings left to make any money this season. So taking Troy over 6 and on the handicap to beat Ulrich. Hans Over 5 and Bjarne under 9 are my other bets Admittedly one look at the track at 7:30 and seeing the stock cars have left it in a right state could mean all bets will be losers. but hey oh
  17. Wouldn't hold to much hope for the track being perfect given the current heatwave and the fact there was a stock car meeting on the track on Sunday Pedersen, Bjerre, Fricke, Holder, Zagar, Lambert all likely to be available in a couple of weeks if not sooner.
  18. Why would you sack him? He openly said at the start of the season that he would get his average down to enable him to double up At this stage of the season it would be almost impossible fro Sheffield not to finish in the top 4 and therefore make the play offs....then the season starts properly
  19. The dogs have always raced both Monday and Thursday afternoons, so not sure why that should have changed anything for this year, for many years the Prowlers ran solely on Monday nights. I would suggest its more to do with (rents being charged/not willing to pay) hence the bars not previously being open for the speedway yet full restaurant services have been running for the dogs since they resumed. Maybe the crowds at Ipswich are not so fickle and will turn up to watch no matter what evening they run, Sheffield are only in the top league due to the fact no one went when the speedway wasnt running on a Thursday evening
  20. On the other notes, i too think the coverage by Europsort this year has been excellent. Only slight downside is Brando's injury thus preventing him conducting the Interviews, not that Dave Rowe is bad, just a second string in comparison. Also think i the absence of Scott Nicholls, due to constantly riding, there should be a co presenter with Abi. Rosco and Steady and have fulfilled this function before, sure they could adequately fill in whenever Scott is unavailable.
  21. Sheffield can use their stadium on a monday and have done so many times in the past, although crowds for a monday are never the same as a Thursday. So if the match was to be run on a monday in front of cameras the crowd would be exceptionally poor, hence running on a normal night, with what will still be a reduced crowd as is always the case in front of the cameras.
  22. Think the handicaps on the meeting scores are about correct, although I personally have the Wolves Sheffield meeting finishing 49-41, but too close to the H'cap for a bet Basically going to gamble on Douglas getting into Heat 15 and therefore outscoring Howarth by more than 2 points. Also hoping, like last time these 2 met, Masters seemed more interested in finishing behind Becker, so under 10 for me. Think Allen at +2 over Kerr is a sure thing, should score about 8 points each in my opinion Cookie will be out to prove a point and with 5 rides should get over 10, Lawson will be the stars main point scorer and should achieve over 11 with the possibility of 6 rides. Think Starke will outscore Wells, as may get extra rides
  23. May have socially distanced himself from fellow riders....but never far from the team of paramedics
  24. Not sure if the rain is affecting either of these tracks tonight or if its affecting Bet365, but I certainly have Ipswich to win so will be taking them at odds against to win the meeting and filling my pockets with the +2 Handicap. Will also be taking Sheffield at +6 with a small amount on the draw int he outright at 14/1 I expect Jack to go through the card on his return to Peterboro and get over 13 as I expect he will be required at some stage to take a TS ride Also expect Adam Ellis to get over 7, Jake Allen to get over 7, Luke Becker under 10 and also a bit on King to outscore Becker
